Hot fomentation x twice daily. Neck Exercises. Neck Stretching. Postural Correction. Shoulder Shrugs . Core Strengthening Exercises. Take frequent Breaks at work Use cervical pillow. Use Back Support. Self Massage the back of neck.

Hi, looking at the details mentioned her sugar levels look good. In fact fasting should come down to about 100 mg. Walking 500 mts is as good as doing nothing. She is already over weight with a bmi of 25.44 kg / m2 (normal <23 kg/m2). Her ideal body weight should be 45 kgs. So weight reduction is a necessity. Anginal pain usually comes on exertion. If you have any doubt get an ecg done to see if there is any problem or a stress test (tmt). But as regards diabetes control she needs to increase her walking to at least 45 minutes plus.

I am 30 year old I have problem of mild posterior disc bludge C4-5 & C5-6 level indenting thecal sac problem identify cervical radiculopathy C6 treatment under progress since 2 months. I have pain in shoulder, movement of neck ,chest .any suggestion for quiq relief. Can I GO TO work those condition.

Hi lybrate-user posterior disc bulge c4-5-6 with radiculopathy treatment depends on which nerve is involved. Shoulder neural mobilization will give good relief. Take hot water pack for 10 mins start with selective stretching of the muscles. Than strengthening of muscles. Take one week rest. Visit a physiotherapist and start doing neural mobilization exercise n depending on the assessment the cure will be based on relieving the symptoms. Regards.

Avoid long standing and heat fermentation and calf stretching exercise. 2nd option tk physiotherapy treatment for heel ultrasonic therapy and tens therapy for calf muscle.

I have pain in my left leg from two years. I consult orthopedic last year and I got relief but this year pain was again and he suggested MRI and the MRI report shows diffuse posture lateral 4 disc bulges at L5-s1 and L4-L5 levels causing anterior epidural space and lateral recess narrowing with thecal sac indentation and abutting traversing nerve fibre and exiting neural foramen stenosis and subtle L3-L4 diffuse posture lateral 4 disc bulge causing epidural space and lateral recess effacement.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Back. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation.

Backache is the commonest ailment. Do not worry, rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.
