My wife is a school teacher. She is suffering from typhoid. We came to know last week after the blood test. Doctor has given vaccine and said that three years it will work. Suggest me the proper diet and how long it will take to cure. She is taking typhoid antibiotic tablets.

Usually enteric fever or typhoid fever takes around 3 to 4 weeks for complete recovery she should increase liquid diet and more carbohydrate diet like she should take lots of fruits (limited juices). She can have milk and chapati with minimal butter. She can have soups.

Take protein rich food ---eggs, milk products, seeds, pulses. Cereals, potatoes, sweet potatoes, plantains etc. Can be useful for gaining weight. Also take vegetables, greens and fruits. Have vigorous physical exercise to improve digestion and absorption of food as well as blood circulation. Eat at regular intervals. Homoeopathic treatment will be beneficial to you.

avoid day time sleep, avoid tea, coffee, cola in late evening and after.. take 8 hours of sleep in night. 10 pm to 6 am is good timing.. avoid stress. take healthy diet. do regular exercise.

It could be a boil. Apply hot fomentation. Take a course of antibiotic and a paain killer after consulting doctor.

Hii use a moistuirising soap or facewash on regular basis. Use a eloevera containing cream or lotion on regular basis to avoid dryness and dark patches. A sunscreen is a must even in winter.

1.Take good nourishing diet like milk, cheese, paneer,egg, fish, mutton, chicken,pulses,soybean 2. Fresh green leafy vegetables ,tomato, cauliflower,broccoli,pumpkin,beans,spinach. 3 .Fruits rich in vitamin c (helps in absorption of iron) like citrus fruits lorange/grape/strawberry guava/mango/pineapple/- water melon 4.Fruits like apple,dry fruits like dates, khajoor,kismiss 5..Drink plenty of water, 6.Go for regular exercise, 7Take adequate rest, 8..Avoid physical and mental exertion. 9.Take Haem up syrup 3 tsf twice daily before food 10. Monitor your hemoglobin 11.consult doctor for further advice

I don't have an appetite. Very skinny. How to gain weight? Chronic constipation. Digestion is very weak. I have to go to Toilet 3-4 times. I have to seat in Toilet for 30 minutes each time. My bowel movement is very slow. I have to do manual evacuation many times. Due, to that I am bleeding from Anus. I'm non smoker, non drinker, vegetarian. NO Tea ,Coffee. I can only digest home made Dal ,Rice, Roti and Vegetables which is also in very less amount. I have to increase my weight. Because, I feel very weak and get tired so quickly. Can't do physical activities for long period due to tiredness.

The root cause of constipation is mostly a lifestyle habits, lot of refine flour, physical inactivity. So first we have to identify the cause. We can help you out if you can share your more details to us. For that to begin, you need to start taking three to four litters of fluid daily. High roughage diet, stopping refine flour in the diet, and moderate physical activity. You start with this you will see relief to a great extent. To reduce weight you need to be very particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Take at lease one serving of fruits and 1 bowl of vegetable daily. Drink plenty of water. Keep check on your food intake. Keep yourself motivated through out the day to lose weight.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

You may takes some ayurvedic medicine from ayurvedic stores kumaryasav 10ml + dashmoolarist 10 mi mix both and add 20 ml water take after meal morning and evening. But you must sure you are non diabetic. If suffering from diabetes should not take these medicine.

Dear patient, I suggest you some natural antioxidant with Vitamin C combined diet like.. green tea with lemon juice , Sprouts with slice of ginger and lemon, Lemon juice with lukewarm water that will help you weight reduction and protection from skin damage. But green tea and lemon water not to take at empty stomach. Avoid oily food, spicy foods,jam jelly,ghee, honey, salt, sweets, fried foods, junk foods. Coconut milk is among the richest sources of tissue-nourishing, plant derivatives. Grind the grated coconut and squeeze it to remove its juice. Massaging coconut milk (juice) on the scalp can also help in the management of hair fall.

I have heavy dandruff and I am also suffering from severe hairfall. I oil my hair once a week. I have tried natural remedies like (lemon and curd for dandruff) and medicated shampoos but nothing seems to work. Please suggest something to treat dandruff and hairfall.

In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development. The damage from sleep deficiency can occur in an instant (such as a car crash), or it can harm you over time. For example, ongoing sleep deficiency can raise your risk for some chronic health problems. It also can affect how well you think, react, work, learn, and get along with others. Management: here are five tips everyone can use to help improve the quality of their sleep: keep your bedroom cool and dark put away/turn off all electronic devices while preparing for bedtime stick to a regular bedtime and wake time every day, even on weekends stop drinking caffeine by the early afternoon and avoid large late-night meals skip the late-afternoon nap, as it can make it harder to sleep at bedtime avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Do regular exercise. Go for a brisk walk in the morning. Medication: take schwabe's bacopa monierri 1x/ thrice daily and kali phos./ once daily at night for 1 month.
