Hello, It may be due to stress/ anxiety I am giving you some tips for sound sleep and early awaking in morning follow advises given below: 1. Strict to sleep time schedule 2. Do regular physical activity 3. Regular meditation/ yoga, i can give you address of rajyoga meditation center near your house (this is free of cost) 4. Avoid tea coffee after 7 pm 5. You can take bath at bedtime 6. Avoid daytime sleep 7. You can use alarm and gradually reduce your waking time by 15 minutes Consult me if symptom persist

●Eat regular meals throughout the day at same time everyday..Avoid skipping meals ●Include high fibre foods at each meal e.g. legumes(beans/lentils ),nuts(almonds,walnut),eggs etc ●Take fruit as a healthy snack e.g. apples,pears,papaya,mausami,jamun,guava ●Try to avoid –grapes,mango,bananas,jackfruit(cheeku) ●Vegetables to be included in plenty-at least 2 servings per meal ●Reduce the fat intake,fried foods,cakes,pastries and foods containing palm oil and coconut oil  ●Include healthy foods like daliya,oats ●Reduce salt intake in the diet to 1 tsp or less per day ●stay away from especially labelled diabetic foods(they are of no benefit),and saturated fats  ●Limit intake of sugar and sugary foods like sweets ●If so desire can take sugarfree as sugar substitute for sweetening purposes DIABETIC DIET CHART: Morning: 4-5 Almonds soaked overnight in water or 1-2 walnuts 6:30 a.m.: Tea + 2 mariegold biscuits(only for those who can’t skip their morning tea) 8:00-9:00 a.m. : 2 Roti + subzi + daliya /upma/poha/raw cheese/sprouts + 1 glass skimmed milk 11:00-12:00 a.m.: Fruits (only those permitted), salads, guava, papaya, pomegranate, cucumber, carrot, sprouts etc 1:00-2:00 p.m.: 2 roti +dal + salads+curd/raita/buttermilk 4:00-5:00 p.m : tea + roasted chana/bhelpuri(only if hungry) 7:00 p.m : salads/coconut water/lemon water(without sugar) 8:00-9:00 p.m: 2 roti +dal/khicdi + skimmed milk Try to sleep daily on sametime till 11:00 p.m. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:  Avoid potato/sweet potato/arbi banana/cheeku/grapes/mango/litchi papads/ chatni/pickles/fried foods groundnuts/cashew/pista/raisins sweets/honey/cold drinks/jaggery Note: For preparing chapatis, use whole wheat flour mixed with chana flour or besan in 3:1 proportion alongwith small amounts of soyabean

Bananas are best for heart yes they are a rich source of potassium and you can eat ad many as you like. There will be no extra potassium which will harm the heart. Yes potassium taken as medicine does cause harmful side effects. Don't bother about extra calories also because it is giving you other essential vitamins and minerals too. Cut down other calories which are either empty calories like excess sugar or just basic calories like chapattis.

1. Take bland diet, avoid spicy, oily, fried and junk food2 eat and drink slowly. 3. Avoid fatty food, carbonated drink like soda/ soft drink/beer, chewing gum, sucking hard candy etc, 5. Avoid gas forming food like onion, bean, peas, potato, lentil, lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, mushroom, whole wheat bread. Fruits like apple/peach/pear 6. Avoid stress, anxiety 7. Stop alcohol/ smoking if you have 8. Go for regular exercise and avoid sedentary life style 9. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning 10. Take unienzyme 2 tablet twice daily after food for few days. 11. Consult gastro enterologist for further advice.

hi please give following details: weight, height, waist circumference, fasting and pp sugar levels (current, hba1c%, present drug treatment, level of physical activity, dietary pattern and if there are any other conditions present with diabetes. It will be better if you come in a private conversation with these details, where I will be able to give specific suggestions. In this communication we are supposed to give only general advise like avoid sweets, junk food, deep fried foods and pastries, exercise formiore than one hour a day etc.

Mr. Lybrate-user in my opinion you have allergy with milk protein so when you take milk products, you are effected with respiratory problem. Avoid dairy product and try to increase immune system. You should try to take milk with ginger. Boil milk with ginger and take it. And try it.

Attack of cold is not related to masturbation 1.Masturbation is a normal way of relieving sexual tension. 2.It is, not harmful if done in moderation, preferably 2-3 times a week. 3.Excess indulgence may cause physical problem like weakness, tiredness, loss of memory, lack of energy, lack of concentration, behavioural disorder, stress, depression, and sexual problem like erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, testicular pain, decrease sperm count. Etc.

Dear Lybrateuser, - At your age chest pain could be due to acidity, anxiety or sedentary habit - avoid spicy, fried & junk food, have more of fruits & vegetables, chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, avoid more than 1-2 cups of tea, coffee in a day, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bed time - have 7-8 glasses of water for proper digestion - avoid alcohol, tobacco, aerated drinks if you take - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, also do yoga & deep breathing exercise for 10-15 min in the morning, it will relax your mind & keep your body fit - take syrup Gelusil, 2 teaspoonful half an hour after every meal three times a day.

What is osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a disease concerning the bones. Decreased strength of the bones poses a risk for them to break. Osteoporosis is very common among older people, whose bones become brittle with age. The most common bones affected by this disease include the backbone, forearm bones and the hip bone. There are no such symptoms until a broken bone occurs. The bones weaken to such an extent that a break may happen in case of very minor stress. Usually, a broken bone is followed by chronic pain and the disability to perform daily activities. Surveys show that 15% of white people in their 50s and 70% of white people in their 80s are affected by osteoporosis.

What are the common causes and symptoms of osteoporosis?

  1. May occur due to the lowering of the 'peak bone mass index'.
  2. In women, bone loss increases after menopause stage due to lowering down of estrogen level.
  3. Also occurs because of another disease or previous treatments. This includes alcoholism, surgical ovary removal, hyperthyroidism, anorexia or any form of kidney disorder.
  4. Anti-seizure medicines, chemotherapy, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and taking of performance-enhancing drugs like steroid increase the bone loss rate.
  5. Lack of regular exercise may lead to osteoporosis.
  6. Osteoporosis is defined as a 'bone density of 2.5 standard deviations below than that of a young adult'.
  7. Osteoporosis is hereditary in nature. People having a family history of osteoporosis are at a high risk of getting the disease.
  8. More than thirty genes are linked with osteoporosis development.
  9. If you have had a fracture before, you are at a risk of a repeat.
  10. Early menopause in women is also responsible for osteoporosis.
  11. People with a small structure and body build are at a risk of getting osteoporosis.
  12. Protein and vitamin deficiency makes your bones weak and makes you vulnerable to osteoporosis.
  13. Phosphoric acid present in soft drinks is another threat, which may cause the disease.
  14. People suffering from malnutrition are likely to get osteoporosis.
  15. Over replacement of L-Thyroxine may lead to osteoporosis.
  16. Use of heparin and warfarin for a long time decreases the bone density.

How can Osteoporosis be prevented?
The best way to avoid getting osteoporosis in the future is to maintain a preventive lifestyle.

  1. Exercise regularly
  2. Indulge in natural calcium sources
  3. Maintain intake of vitamin D and K
  4. Do not smoke and consume alcohol
  5. Don't undertake stressful physical activities
  6. Go for regular health checkups
  7. Stay fit and stay away from obesity

Osteoporosis is a disease you must stay away from. It leaves you physically incapable and unfit.

When she having her danger periods that is 12-16of periods when she may get pregnant use condom. Rest days you can have sex without condoms.

While sleeping I snores and in-between my breathing stopped for like 12 to 20 seconds. I guess it's sleep apnea. Can you tell me of any cure. Besides operative cure.

Lose weight. People who are overweight have extra tissue in the back of their throat, which can fall down over the airway and block the flow of air into the lungs while they sleep. Even a small amount of weight loss can open up your throat and improve sleep apnea symptoms. Quit smoking. Smoking is believed to contribute to sleep apnea by increasing inflammation and fluid retention in your throat and upper airway. Avoid alcohol, sleeping pills, and sedatives, especially before bedtime, because they relax the muscles in the throat and interfere with breathing. Exercise regularly. As well as helping you to lose weight, starting and sticking to an exercise program can have a major effect on the duration and quality of your sleep. Aerobic and resistance training can help reduce sleep apnea symptoms, while yoga is also good for strengthening the muscles in your airways and improving breathing. Avoid caffeine and heavy meals within two hours of going to bed. Maintain regular sleep hours. Sticking to a steady sleep schedule will help you relax and sleep better. Apnea episodes decrease when you get plenty of sleep.

You may be having allergic bronchitis do warm saline gargle regularly have homemade freshly prepared lemon juice which is rich in vitamin c thereby increasing your body autoimmune system which prevents infection. Go for morning walk followed by free hand exercises. Have plenty of fluid orvwatrr by mouth. It will improve.
