As ESR is 100 above, you should also check ANA, also to rule out any autoimmune disorder. Repeated throat infections may be the other cause for raised ESR.

5 Effective Home Cures for Headache Relief

A common complaint, painful headaches (including migraine), can be really bothersome and cause serious disruptions in your daily routine. Even though over-the-counter medicines can help, you can’t ignore the side effects they can potentially have on your body.

So, instead of popping pills to stem off the pain, why not try these simple and effective home remedies for a change? Moreover, apart from offering you respite from a headache, you can be sure that these remedies will cause no side effects whatsoever. Here are some of the tried and tested remedies for you to use at home.

1. Eat almonds

A natural remedy to cure a headache could be consuming nutritious almonds. Almonds contain a natural pain relieving agent called salicin, which helps in easing the pain. Furthermore, their high magnesium content aids in reducing nerve excitability while relaxing the muscles, thereby decreasing the incidence of headaches caused by anxiety and stress. Ideally, you should have about 10-12 almonds every day for preventing as well as alleviating headaches. So, munch on some almonds the next time you get a headache.

2. Try ginger juice or ginger paste

To get instant relief, you could also turn to ginger for help. Ginger eases headache by bringing down the swelling of the blood vessels in your head. You can have ginger in more ways than one.
You can try mixing lemon juice and ginger juice in equal parts and then drinking the juice once or twice daily to cure headaches. Alternatively, you can apply a paste made of ginger powder and 2 tablespoons of water on the affected area (temple or forehead) for fast and instant relief.

3. Make a paste of cinnamon sticks

Pound some cinnamon sticks into a fine powder and make a thick paste out of it by adding some water. Once done, apply the paste on your temples and forehead, and wash it off after 30 minutes using only lukewarm water.

4. Opt for clove oil or clove inhalant

Due to their pain-relieving and cooling qualities, cloves are highly effective in providing you relief from throbbing headaches.
For treating your headaches, all you need is a handkerchief containing crushed cloves for inhalation from time to time. Alternatively, you could massage your temples and forehead with clove oil.

5. Have basil tea

Possessing pain-relieving benefits, the wonder herb, basil, is another easily available home remedy for treating headaches. Basil is very effective in curing headaches that arise from stiff muscles and tension. You can cure headaches by having a soothing cup of basil tea. To make the tea, boil one cup of water into which you’ve added 3-4 leaves of this herb. Have this steaming tea with a little honey.

Whether you opt for almonds or hot basil tea, these simple and effective home remedies are sure-shot ways of getting respite from painful headaches.

Dear Ms. lybrate-user, Your Fasting blood sugar is NORMAL; it is normal up tp to 110 mg %,You do not need to do anything as you are not even mild Diabetic; But always take care of your weight ,and maintain a routine of active lifestyle. Do not over eat sweets and soft drinks ,cakes and pastries etc.

When there is a formation of an embryo in the womb of the mother at that time only it is fixed whether its a boy or girl and hence if its a boy which has an x chromosome from father gets a penis.

Here are the best Home Remedies to heal fractures quicker.

1) Castor Oil - Castor oil is one of the best natural home remedies that is available at many medicine shop or grocery shops. Castor oil has anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties and can be used in various other problems too. For using castor oil in fracture, dip a clean cotton cloth in castor oil and wrap it around that particular bone, cover the cloth with duct tape and leave for one or two nights. It will strengthen your bones and help to remove fracture.

2) Kalonji Or Black Caraway Seed - Kalonji can do wonders in fractures. Its high medicinal properties and contents make it very useful in almost all of minor health problems including fracture of bones. Kalonji contains zinc, iron, phosphorus and many compounds along with antibiotic qualities. For using kalonji for fracture, take kalonji or black caraway seeds oil and massage that particular area of bones two times a day for 10-12 days. You will feel better after using it.

3) Turmeric - Turmeric is another wonderful gift of nature to the mankind that can be extensively useful in various problems like skin infections, in injuries, various mouth related problem and in fracture too. It has various wonderful medicinal qualities like anti oxidant, antiseptic and anti inflammatory. To use turmeric to heal fractures, drink turmeric with milk at least twice a day to recover quickly. Another old method is to make paste of turmeric and onion, make a poultice of this paste and put it on the affected part. You can also tie it with some plastic wraps for 1-2 days.

4) Tying With Wooden Piece - This is one of the methods that I myself have experienced. This looks simple but it is very effective, the only limitation is you can?t use it on every bone, it can only be applied on leg or hand. For using this method, take a small wooden piece and tie it with cotton cloth or plastic on the affected bone area for 10-12 hours.

5) Ice Pack - This method is also worth a try for bone fractures. It is very simple to use and can be very effective. For using put some eyes on a cotton cloth and apply slowly around the affected part for 5-10 mints, repeat this 4-5 times a day to see its effect.

Generalised itching can be a allergy to food or exposure to any chemicals or during the liver problem like jaundice and etc. if it is very acute wait for 1 day still did not resolve go to a near by doctor and consult.

This is not right method to test for diabetes. Random blood sugar if high suggests diabetes but normal value does not rule out diabetes. You should do fasting plasma glucose or hba1c or oral glucose tolerance test to find out diabetes. Your results are normal anyway.

Dear user. Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of a physical or psychological condition. It can cause stress, relationship strain, and low self-confidence. The main symptom is a man's inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Patients suffering from erectile dysfunction should first be evaluated for any underlying physical and psychological conditions. If treatment of the underlying conditions doesn't help, medications and assistive devices, such as pumps, can be prescribed. Yoga, meditation and diet could be prescribed once we know the basic reasons for it. Psychological reasons usually get cleared with sex therapy. I suggest online sex therapy. Take care.

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. Continue for 15 minutes and repeat in sets of 3 or 4. Cycling – Lie down on a floor mat. Raise your legs and rotate them as if you are pedalling a cycle vigorously. Repeat the exercise for five minutes in sets of three. Breathing Exercises to Lose Belly Fat Let us briefly understand on how these work. Oxygen acts as fuel for the body. The extra oxygen that you inhale while performing the breathing exercises result in certain chemical reactions that in turn burns up more calories than you actually take in. You lose extra fat. Pavanmuktasan – for practising Pavanmuktasan, take a deep breath as you lie on your back. Bend you left knee, hold your toes and pull it towards your stomach. Simultaneously lift your head and touch your bent knee. Your other leg must be straight. Breathe in and count ten. Return to your original position and breathe out. Repeat the set with your right leg. Bhujangasan – for practising Bhujangasan lie on your stomach and place your hands under your shoulders. Lift your torso backwards using only the back muscles and not your hands. Hold your breath for 5-10 seconds and slowly return to your original position as you breathe out. Dhanurasan – Lie on your stomach and bend your knees. Hold your ankles as you breathe in. Push your body outwards in the shape of a bow and pull your head back as much as possible. Hold this position for 10 seconds and release the posture as you slowly breathe out. Apart from these there are aerobics that also help you to lose belly fat. Regular simple workouts, like jogging, walking up and down through the stairs fast also helps to shed those stubborn belly fat. But remember, it is always advisable to seek the advice of a fitness instructor before you decide as exercise regimen for yourself in order to get the maximum results.
