Role of Homeopathy in Psoriasis

B.Sc, BHMS
Homeopath, Lucknow
Role of Homeopathy in Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a type of a skin disease in which the skin cells start to multiply at a much faster rate, forming thick white, red or silvery growths on the skin. In a healthy human being, skin cells shed every four weeks. The new skin cells replace them; growing as the old skin sheds itself. In Psoriasis, new skin cells grow at a much faster rate, forming thick patches of skin called plaques. In most cases, the plaques develop on the hands, knees, elbows, lower back, scalp and feet.

The exact causes behind Psoriasis are not known but most authorities point to a combination of genetic and environmental factors. For example, it has been found that it occurs among the members of the same family quite often or it tends to affect people who live in cold and wet climates. Psoriasis can be triggered by a variety of factors. If you have a strong immune system, it does not amount to much. But if you don’t, the disease gets triggered.

A few known factors that can aggravate Psoriasis are as follows:

  1. Obesity: Being overweight is known to be an important contributing factor.

  2. Stress: Mental stress can be another factor which tends to increase the symptoms of psoriasis.

  3. Injury: Any injury to a particular body part can cause psoriasis to develop there.

  4. Drugs: Some medicines are also known to increase the incidence of this problem.

  5. Skin Dryness: If the skin is dry, the itching and flake formation tends to increase.

Role of Homeopathy in Psoriasis:

While conventional treatments for psoriasis are effective, in most cases, the skin disease makes a comeback. Homeopathy on the other hand, not only attempts to cure psoriasis, but also tackles the triggers that lead to the onset of the disease, resulting in a more healthy treatment. Finding out about the trigger can lead to a more effective and permanent cure. The location of the plaque can also help in deciding the right course of homeopathy treatment. The doctor also focuses on factors that tend to aggravate or alleviate the situation, as it might give a clue to its cause.

Homeopathic medicines for Psoriasis act on the body at the level of immunity and restore the deviated function. They also help to control the symptoms of Psoriasis without any side effects. Welling Homeopathy treatment for psoriasis is a tried and tested protocol to offer long term relief and permanent cure gradually.

The Homeopathic medicines for Psoriasis have to be specific to every individual person. That is the reason a detailed history is required to customise the treatment for Psoriasis. The Homeopathic treatment for psoriasis is chalked out after a detailed analysis and review of your past treatments for psoriasis and medicines for psoriasis taken by you.

I'm am losing my hair and let use many shampoo but no results tell me what can you do for stop hair fall.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Hi Sudhir., most hair loss is not associated with systemic or internal disease, nor is poor diet a frequent factor. Hair may simply thin as a result of predetermined genetic factors and the overall aging process. Several health conditions, including thyroid disease, iron deficiency anaemia, protein deprivation (during diet, and hormonal changes may cause reversible hair loss. Dos:- 1. Regular oiling is basic step, use brihat bringaraja taila of guduchi pharmacy every alternate days. 2. Preferably use Guduchi Anti Hairfall shamppo or natural wash, blot your hair with towel n donnot rub. 3.Tab Abhra loha-1tab twice aday after food. Medicines available on www.eguduchi.com Tips:- 1.Wash hair regularly with lukewarm to cold water to keep the scalp clean and healthy 2.• Avoid blow drying hair especially with high heat since it leads to easy breakage of hair. Let the hair dry naturally 3. Avoid rubbing wet hair vigorously with a towel - just gently pat them dry 4. Avoid combing hair when wet since it is prone to breakage at such time 5. Use a wide-toothed comb instead of a hair brush

I am having a very little size breast I want to increase its size is there any cream to increase its size and is it causes any side effects.

MCh - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, MS - General Surgery, MBBS

Breast growth depends on the sensitivity and activity of the breast tissue to some of the internal hormones secreted in your body. Unfortunately medicines and creams as advertised do not work. The safest method of enhancing your breast is by fat transfer wherein you can have a breast enlargement without any scars on your breast while you gain some shape from where unwanted body fat is removed. Alternately if you don't mind some scars on your breasts, then, breast implants is the other option.

Acne - 7 Home Remedies for Treating it

Acne - 7 Home Remedies for Treating it

Ayurveda offers a unique and holistic approach in treating acne. It is an Indian healing system, which aims at treating pimples and acne by managing its underlying causes. Toxicity build-up and impaired digestion are targeted according to the doshas identified in an individual by an Ayurvedic practitioner.

According to Ayurveda, the whole of the cosmos is made of 5 elements namely water, fire, air, earth and space. Doshas are aggregations of these elements and affect our well-being. If access to an Ayurvedic practitioner isn’t feasible, then try cutting down on junk food as they contain additives and preservatives. Eat foods which don’t have more than 4 ingredients.

Raw and unprocessed food is the best for digestion. Replace artificial skin care products with natural ones. Change your sheets and pillows regularly as they may have trace residues of acne causing organisms. Insecticides and disinfectants should be substituted for their natural counterparts, such as neem based cleaning agents.

Here are some Ayurvedic natural substances which work wonders for treating your acne:

  1. Tulsi: An amazing way to get rid of pimples is tulsi (basil) paste when used by you on a daily basis. If access to fresh basil is difficult, then get a jar of dried basil from your neighborhood departmental store and use it with warm water. Use about 3 teaspoons so that a smooth paste can be formed and apply it on your face for over 10 minutes up to 5 times a week.
  2. Lemon and Honey: A mix of lemon juice and honey is a simple, but effective homemade beauty remedy for the treatment of acne. Mix 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Apply the mix on the pimples and on the spots caused by the pimples. However, do not apply on severe pimple outburst as it can cause a severe and intense burning sensation. Keep it on your face for about 10 minutes and then wash it off. You can continue doing this 7 times in a week. You will eventually find very satisfactory results.
  3. Cinnamon: Try dry roasting dalchini or cinnamon. Grind it finely and then make a creamy paste by adding honey to it. Apply this paste for a minimum of 5 times a week. Let its goodness soak into your skin and watch the benefits of the paste work its miracle!
  4. Neem: Neem leaves (Indian Lilac) are the perfect natural way of treating pimples. Turn it into a paste and apply it on the areas affected with pimples. If getting fresh neem isn’t feasible, try procuring some dried and bottled leaves instead and soak for about 15 minutes in hot water and use the same as a paste.
  5. Sesame: Turn sesame seeds into a paste by soaking them overnight. Then turn into a paste. You can also use powder, which is readily available. Keep the paste on for 15 minutes and wait for the magic to work.
  6. Potato: Potato juice or grated potato can be applied directly onto your pimples. Let the sticky potato juice sit on your face for over 10 minutes before washing it off. It lends a mild and natural bleaching glow to your skin. The same technique can be also tried with tomato juice.
  7. Mint: Soak a few mint leaves and turn it into a fresh paste , it will act as an astringent.  Mint is also effective in making acne marks fade away if used regularly.

I have white patches in my body from many Day's onwards so I need your consultancy.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
White spots on can occur due to a number of reasons, of which conditions can be mild or severe. The condition can be mild or severe, and generally covers the majority of the skin on a particular area of the body. They may also cause irritation or itching. The occurrence of whites on the face can be extremely distressing. People affected with this problem should obtain medical advice to diagnose what is causing the condition and the suitable treatment. Causes of White Spots White spots on the face occur for various reasons. Understanding some of these reasons may be beneficial in treating the condition. Furthermore, understanding the cause can also help people avoid certain circumstances that increase the risk. 1. Tinea Versicolor This is a chronic fungal infection of the skin. Also known as pityriasisversicolor, this fungus causes discolored patches on the skin as it interferes with the normal pigmentation. The color of the patches may be darker or lighter than the surrounding skin and most often, affects the back and trunk of adolescent males. Exposure to sunlight, hot, humid weather, oily skin and excessive sweating may aggravate the condition. 2. Vitiligo This is a skin condition that results in the loss of melanocyte pigmentation of the skin. This results in white patches that feel as if it is part of the skin. The cause of vitiligo is unclear although it is believed to be an autoimmune disease. However, mild trauma to any area of the skin including the face can also result in the development of vitiligo. Vitiligo can affect the face, hands and feet, elbows and genital area. 3. Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis White spots on the face may also be due to Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis, a skin condition resulting in 2 to 5 mm flat, white spots commonly found on the shins and forearms. This skin condition mostly affects fair skinned people, although it may occur in dark skinned individuals too. The white spots may occur more commonly in people over the age of 40. 4. Pityriasis Alba This skin condition is common in children aged 6 to 12. It is a rash that appears on the face, neck and arms, and is not easily differentiated between normal skin. The rash may be covered with skin flakes resembling light dust. The cause of Pityriasis Alba is not known and is often considered as a form of eczema. This condition is often mistaken with vitiligo. However, while vitiligo has a distinct border, Pityriasis Alba does not. Treatments for White Spots on Face The medical treatment for white spots depends entirely on the root cause that underlies the condition. There are certain things that you can try to accelerate the process of treatment . Some of these mentioned treatments are professional while others are home remedies. Home Remedies .  For treating vitiligo, consumption of ginger juice is recommended as it promotes blood flow. neem seed oil applied to the affected area will also bring beneficial results.  Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis may not require treatment as it is harmless. However, topical steroids and retinoids may help treat the condition.  Treatment for Pityriasis Alba may not be necessary although the application of a moisturizer or hydrocortisone creams may help the disappearance of these patches.  Washing the face with mild soaps and exfoliating the skin at least twice a week with a honey, rice, turmeric and sandalwood powder paste can treat Tinea Versicolor. So identify your problem of white spots with the help of your local doctor so that appropriate treatment is given or send me your picture depicting those white spot along with the complete hitory of your spots,so that I am clear in making a diagnosis.

Hai I am sumit, 32 years old nd suffered with high hairfall nd suffered with baldness. Any remedy solution.

BHMS
Homeopath, Agra
1. Wash hair sparingly and use a good-quality shampoo. Washing hair too often can leave hair dried out, leached of its natural oils, and may damage your hair. Aim to shampoo your hair at most every other day or even only twice a week. 2. Try shampoos that do not contain sulfates or parabens. Sulfates are the chemicals that make shampoos lather up. Parabens are preservatives that cause irritation and eye problems after prolonged use. Both of these chemicals aren't healthy for you or the environment so try to use shampoos with natural cleansers 3. Use conditioner that matches your hair type, length, and treatment damage. A good rule of thumb is to condition every time you shampoo your hair, although very processed or dyed hair probably needs a little more love than natural hair 4. Be careful about using hair care products with too much protein. Too much protein can leave your hair feeling desiccated and brittle. While protein is the building block of healthy hair, use conditioners that come with balanced ingredients. 5. Rinse your hair with vinegar before shampooing, twice a year. Doing this helps to make your hair look shinier and cleaner; plus, it treats dandruff. Use 1 part vinegar (preferably organic apple cider vinegar) to 3 parts warm water, then rinse and wash your hair as normal. 6. Moisturize your hair. Use five oils: almond, castor, olive, coconut and lavender oils. Mix together equal proportions of each. Alternately, use egg oil. Apply to the hair and leave in for four hours prior to showering out. Repeat twice a week. 7. Eat healthily. Give your hair the right amount of vitamins. Since hair is made of proteins, eat a balanced diet rich in lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will ensure hair that looks and feels better. Make sure you get plenty of vitamin C. This vitamin strengthens hair. In addition, iron helps transport oxygen to blood vessels, zinc grows and repairs tissue, and omega-3 fatty acids grow healthy hair. Give your hair some time to show new brilliance. What you eat will not have an immediate difference on the hair you already have, but it will help with hair that is newly growing. 8. Remove stress from your life. Physical and mental stressors will keep your hair from realizing its full potential. Stress can cause hair loss, so try not to let stress overcome you. This means finding healthy emotional outlets for your stress: yoga, biking, meditation, or other forms of exercise all work well. 9. Tips Stress has a bigger impact than you think. Meditation can be very helpful, as well as exercise. --Put an oil on your hair at night before going to shower because this makes your hair shiny. --Do not sleep with wet or damp hair. This will weaken the follicles and make hair strands brittle. Blow dry in low heat at the roots before bed. --Most people use more shampoo than they need. Depending on hair length, you probably only need about a quarter sized dollop. --Don't blow dry hair too frequently. Frequent blow drying, or use of other heat products, can stress your hair. --Rinse your hair under cold water after you finish shampooing and conditioning to make it shine and look even more luscious than it was before. •When towel drying, don't rub the hair vigorously. This splits the hair. Try using a micro fiber towel as they soak up lots of moisture. --You can naturally strengthen your hair by mixing carrots, or Vitamin Water together in a blender and rubbing gently into hair before you wash. Be sure to wash out well. You can also purchase my package for the treatment of hairfall. If you want permanent homoeopathic cure, then consult me.

My skin is very oily what should I do to make it oil free should I use tablets or cream.

MD - Skin,VD & Lepxsy
Dermatologist, Hyderabad
Oily skin is a common cosmetic problem that is characterized by medium to large-sized pores, a shiny appearance, especially around the area of the nose, chin, and forehead, and a tendency to develop blemishes and blackheads. Stress, medications, hormones, incorrect products and changes in seasons can rob skin of needed moisture, causing it to produce a surge of oil to compensate for what’s lacking; overuse of products including make up which is not suitable for your skin type, and sun tan can injure skin and cause it to produce excess oil. Skin always reacts in the opposite way to the way we want it to: the more vigorously you attempt to remove the sebum, the more skin will produce oil to replace it. It is therefore important to consult a dermatologist to understand what kind of products are to be used according to your skin type. A dermatologist can help you identify various cleansers, toners and astringents which are most suitable to your skin to not only get immediate relief from oily skin but also avoid unpleasant itching and dryness. There are various chemical peels available which helps in cleaning the pores from within and it is always advisable to get peels done from a dermatologist or cosmetologist only.

I am 21year old and my skin is very oily and there are lots of pimple, acne on my face so suggest me the ways to remove them and precautions to avoid acnes to come in future.

MD
Dermatologist,
Hi. For oily skin use salicylic acid containing face wash twice a day. For pimples use clindamycin 1% gel in morning and retinoic acid 0.05% at night time. But if you are having lots of pimples, you need to have a private consultation with dermatologist so that oral antibiotics can be started.
