Jojoba Oil: The debate is whether jojoba is the king of the carrier oils. Many scalp-related problems are caused by a hardened build-up of sebum that clogs the hair follicles and causes some types of scaling. If this hardened build-up is not removed, it can eventually obstruct the hair follicle’s ability to function properly. Jojoba rapidly penetrates down to the scalp and hair shaft, and readily loosens and dissolves this hardened build-up.

Hi Doc. I want to grow more facial hair. What should I do? Is there any specific diet that I need to follow?
Avoid smoking to increase facial hair growth. Keep your skin clean. Wash it with warm water and a mild cleanser every morning and evening. Take Vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C and vitamin E rich foods as they speed up the hair growth process. You may find these foods on net. Manage stress in healthy ways through meditation and yoga for better results. Facial massage and regular shaving, promote hair growth very fast. Protein intake is also recommended.

Hello Doctor,

Unless you have severe osteoarthritis then replacement at this age is not advisable for the following reasons - 1. The prosthesis does have a time limit and eventually it wears out (the longevity depends on the bearing surface used) and once it wears out then you will have pain and it would need revision surgery. The chances of a hip replacement done at an young age of 35 lasting for more than 7 - 10 years is very slim. Repeated revisions reduce the bone stock and also increases the complication rate. Do you have any xrays so that we can see for what problem you have been advised replacement. Unless we see the xrays we would not be able to comment appropriately.

You are most likely suffering from myofascial pains involving neck and shoulder muscles. You should consult a pain specialist and get intramuscular stimulation done. This therapy is safe and effective to relieve muscle spasm and stress. Meanwhile observe these tips to get relief: 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen round the clock for 5 days 2. Apply warm fomentation over affected areas. 3. Do neck and shoulder exercises once pain is relieved. Consult again for further queries.

My age is 20 and I have started getting grey hair already. It's not a genetic problem as my father or my mother didn't have this problem during this time of their age. I think it's pollution. I don't know. The amount of grey hair is gradually increasing and I'm getting very conscious about it. Kindly suggest me a remedy or a treatment for this issue.

Hello, it might be nutritional problem or as you said pollution does play a role. Using chemical hair colors may further increase the problem, so better avoid them. Proper nutrition, protein diet, vit. B12 supplements and t. Avitin 7 once a day for three months may help. Avoid alcohol and smoking if applicable to you. Take proper sleep and avoid stress or manage it with meditation.

Scalp Micropigmentation - How To Manage It?

Dermatologist

Scalp Micropigmentation - How To Manage It?

Scalp micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment option that uses tiny micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. This result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help to restore the look of fuller hair.
This treatment modality was introduced in 2001 by Dr.Alvaro Traquina in an article published in a Dermatologic Surgery medical publication. The article was titled, Micropigmentation as an Adjuvant in Cosmetic Surgery of the Scalp.” His title, text, and pictures clearly defined the use of pigment as a concealer.

This treatment may be used to restore receded hairlines, thicken remaining hair, camouflage any scarring on the scalp and to create the look of close-cropped hair. Being able to accurately replicate one’s own natural hair follicles and hair color, scalp micropigmentation aids to strengthen and add density to thinning areas, creating an undetectable illusion of thicker and stronger hair. One of the most amazing things about scalp micropigmentation treatment is that it requires minimal continued maintenance and carries no lifestyle or dietary restrictions.

This treatment is able to conceal the following types of scarring on the scalp:
• Strip scarring
• Plug scarring
Alopecia
• Accident scarring

This is hugely beneficial to those who are partially or asymmetrically bald. For people who have experienced patchy baldness, they know how embarrassing it can be to have such a condition. Scalp micropigmentation helps to restore the confidence and get rid of the complex, for people who were uncomfortable earlier.

Scalp micropigmentation is not only great for men who experience baldness or thinning hair, or for men who need to provide coverage to a scar, but it is also extremely beneficial for many women as it is a great cosmetic option for ladies who have thinning of hair.

This procedure is also called hair tattoo in layman terms. However, it is not to be mistaken with a tattoo on the head, as this is a medical treatment and requires more specialized equipment to be performed. A number of hair clinics all around the world now offer scalp micropigmentation. People everywhere are able to benefit from this treatment modality. Since it a permanent treatment, it is a great alternative for those who are considering hair transplantation.

Scalp micropigmentation gained sudden popularity in recent times due to the adoption of this technique by certain celebrities. Although it is a bit painful to undergo this procedure as it is after all a medical grade permanent tattoo on the head, it is seen to be way less painful than a traditional tattoo.

It is always advisable to see your dermatologist to be confident about this treatment modality, before making up your mind to go for it.

I have been loading my hair since long time. I addressed many hair specialist but no use of them. So please help me.
1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yougurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 9. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in vitamin c like amla and oranges. 10. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.

Eucalyptus oil is also an essential oil that can help to stimulate the growth of facial hair. But because it can cause irritation of the skin, it must be mixed with any carrier oil; olive oil or sesame oil is a good option. •Into half a cup of the carrier oil, add between 15 to 30 drops of eucalyptus oil •Mix and massage this oil onto the facial skin. •Allow it to remain for about 30 minutes and then rinse with cold water and a gentle soap if you find the oily feeling irritating. Pay attention to these natural factors also when you are working on growth of your Mostache/Beard naturally. 1. Eat health so as to give your body enough vitamins and minerals esp. Spinach, Yogurt, Tomatoes, Carrot, Beans. 2.. It is also important to keep your face clean by using a mild moisturizing face wash; however, avoid frequent washing with strong soaps that tend to dehydrate the skin 3. If you smoke, understand that nicotine does not exactly promote facial hair growth – so, here’s another reason to quit the habit 4. Stress is likely to prevent growth of facial hair; so keep stress at bay by a regular practice of yoga or meditation. HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE0---------------------- LYCOPODIUM 30 Dr. Reckeweg) Drink 5 drops in 1 spoon fresh water at night every week --------------------------------ACID PHOSPHORICUM Q (Dr. Reckeweg) Drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily.
