avoid day time sleep, avoid tea coffee cola in evening and after. 8 hours sleep is ok. 10 pm to 6 am is good timing.avoid stress. take balanced diet.

Dear Sir | Ma'am, I'm 23 years old, Female. I'm pregnant since 5 months. Since the start of my pregnancy doctor didn't advised to do the thyroid test and on my fifth month due to shift in the location the other doctor had suggested me to take thyroid test and my values where T3 1.36ng\dl, T4 - 7.69 ng \ dl and TSH - 5.420 uiU\ml. So the doctor said it is quite high in your fifth month so prescribed throform 50 mcg. I heard the first trimester baby totally depends upon mom for his\her thyroid. So does my thyroid level would have impacted my babies brain? My query is how often the thyroid range elevates? Since during my fifth month it found to be 5.420 so approximately how much it could have been in my first trimester?

Priyaji, As you have mentioned in the first trimester fetus entirely depends on maternal thyroxine, hence even symptom less hypothyroidism also may affect the fetal brain development. Clinical trials show that the development of intelligence may be affected. Recommended TSH levels through out the pregnancy should be 2 to 2.4 milli units /ml. Please maintain TSH at this level.

Hi, please follow these tips: - wear varicose veins stockings while moving about to prevent further dilatation of the veins. - go for color doppler study of the affected limb to know the severity of the disease. - do not stand and work for long hours - consult a vascular surgeon and get yourself examined thoroughly. - perform leg raising exercises regularly. - keep your foot end elevated while sleeping.

Mr. Lybrate-user, your blood glucose level is high particularly pp. But this can be corrected by diet and exercise rather than any new drug addition, if you reduce present intake by about 10 to 15%, consume more of green leafy vegetable and fiber containing product, plus exercise regularly then you can bring down the sugar level closer to the target of fasting 100mg and pp <170 mg.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200, Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

You can make your own oil my drying tem stripes of curry leaves in the sun and ther make a powder of it to this add 1 tsp of methi seed make powder of it too now take 125 ml of coconut oil and 35 ml of castor oil put it on stove let is boil now add the powders to it after 30 mins you wil see that the oil and powder seprates out and the oil turns green in color keep this aside for 10 hrs after 10 hrs seive it through a cotten cloth in a bottle and apply this oil regularly you will see results your self. 2. Take proteins in your diet 3. Increase leafy veg in your diet 4. Have milk curd and coconut frequently 5. Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Yeah there is good cholesterol called high density choleterol or hdl and bad cholesterol called low density cholesterol. Low density cholesterol is bad for health and it may cause blood vessel clogging leading to thrombus formation and heart attacks. So it should be kept below 130 and high density cholesterol is good if it go high above 40. Total cholesterol should be kept below 200 and it can come up to 250 which is border line. You can reduce cholesterol with exercising your body and mind with yoga, pranayam etc. You can practice healthy life style with eating fibrous food, raw vegetables, fruits etc. Avoid fatty and fried food especially junk food and soft drinks.

Get BP checked. Get ecg and echo - ultra sound of heart in the mean time when ever you have this problem take a glass of water, sprinkle ice cold water on face and take deep breath and force the air out with nose and mouth closed as you do when you r constipated - relax, go for morning walk for 30 mts and do deep breathing exercise for 10 mts report result on private chat for further advise.
