I am 19 yrs old nd m not having periods. Nd I have taken ipill also. So I want to ask dat why I m not having periods.

The most common complaints in pill users are nausea" spotting" or breakthrough bleeding, weight gain, breast tenderness, mood alterations, and headaches. These are most severe when a woman first starts to take the pill, and often tend to disappear within 3 months. If side effects continue or are problematic, trying another type of birth control can often alleviate some of the symptoms. Progestin-only pills are much more likely than combination pills to lead to breakthrough bleeding, especially if one of the pills is missed. Risks of taking the pill: the greatest health risk from the pill is cardiovascular disease including especially blood clots in veins (deep vein thrombosis or dvt), heart attacks, and strokes.

Although there are no chances of pregnancy but always keep in mind that such emergency contraceptives have a failure rate of 11-25%, so pray to god that you do not have a bad luck. Secondly such emergency pills have some very disastrous effect on woman's health if taken so frequently. So better to have protected sex rather than to repent afterwards-so wait for her next periods which I think will be disturbed (due to hormonal effect of emergency pills) and not on expected date but do not forget to go for a home pregnancy test once she missed her periods to be on the safer side.

Its better for you to consult with an expert directly because correct diagnosis of the problem is absolutely important for best treatment. Avoid half hearted measures like Patanjali because further complications in vaginal area will spoil your quality of sexual life and you are already having burning and pain. You may connect expert online or in person, either me or anyone nearby as you choose but be quick for your own good because giving sitting at home solutions wont help you in right way. Please value your body.

Hi , homoeopathy is the permanent solution for your problem. Better to apply papaya to scars, leave 15-20 mins and wash with cold water. Do this one every alternate day along with medicines. How long are you suffering from this problem?

Types and Diagnosis of Uterine Fibroids

Fellowship In Minimal Access Surgery, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Hyderabad
Types and Diagnosis of Uterine Fibroids

Noncancerous growths of the muscle tissue surrounding the uterus are known as uterine fibroids. This is a common disease which about 70 to 80% of women contract by the time they are 50 years of age. The uterine fibroids can sometimes be very big and cause heavy periods as well as severe abdominal pain while at other times, uterine fibroids give no signs or symptoms whatsoever and go away on their own. This is why it is crucial to know what type of uterine fibroids you have and how to diagnose them. Here are the types of uterine fibroids and how to diagnose them;

Types
There are three main types of uterine fibroids. They are;

1. Intramural fibroids
The most common type of uterine fibroids are intramural fibroids. They typically appear in the endometrium and may grow larger which results in your womb getting stretched.

2. Subserosal fibroids
Subserosal fibroids are called so because they form on the serosa. The serosa is the outside of your uterus. Sometimes, Subserosal fibroids may grow so large that your uterus appears bigger on one side.

3. Pedunculated fibroids
Pedunculated fibroids tumors are basically Subserosal fibroids with a stem. A base which supports the tumor is called the stem.

Diagnosis
There are a number of tests done to diagnose uterine fibroids. They are;

1. Pelvic exam
A pelvic exam is a thorough inspection of a woman pelvic area. The organs which are in the pelvic area include the cervix, ovaries, uterus and vagina. Normally, this and the next test in this article are enough to diagnose uterine fibroids.

2. Medical history
The history of your periods as well as the other symptoms you have will often be enough to diagnose the uterine fibroids. If your medical history is not enough, then you might need to undergo a pelvic exam.

3. Pelvic ultrasound
An ultrasound is when high-intensity sound waves are used to produce images of the pelvic area. This is only done when a pelvic exam and your medical history are not enough to diagnose uterine fibroids. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

Irregular period is usually defined as any type of bleeding that's abnormal when compared to your last few menstrual cycles. It can include everything from a late period to early bleeding, and scant bleeding to extremely heaving bleeding. For many women, this can even mean an absent period (amenorrhea) or two periods in one month (metrorrhagia). It's actually a way of your body telling you something is not right and probably your hormones (especially estrogen and progesterone) are imbalanced. Some home remedies beneficial for your period problem: REDUCE STRESS: Breathe away stress by doing yoga and breathing exercises and meditation in the morning. Also, do kapalbhati and anulom-vilom pranayama for 15 mins each. CHASTE BERRY: The best known hormone balancing herb for women, Chaste berry helps to regulate the female gynecological system. It works by normalizing the secretions of the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and ovaries, which then appropriately signal to balance the endocrine system. Note – This herb is not recommended if you are taking any fertility drug. It should not be consumed during pregnancy. SHATAVARI: Shatavari is also known to restore the balance of hormones in women. Mix it with equal amount of Ashwagandha and take 1 teaspoon with warm milk at night daily. OTHER HERBS: Some other herbs you can try to regain healthy menstruation: Holy basil (Tulsi), Black cohosh, licorice (Mulethi) root, turmeric, and Evening primerose oil. (If you are on medications, always consult your doctor first). DIETARY CHANGES: Drink carrot juice, aloe vera juice, grape juice. Add ginger, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, green (unripe) papaya, sesame seeds (with Jaggery), Apple Cider Vinegar and wheat grass to your diet. Also eat other seasonal fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Most women return to healthy menstruation cycle following these remedies. However, if you don’t benefit from the above, you should see your gynaecologist immediately.

I am from west bengal. Female/25 years old. Two three years back I was a owner of nice slim figure. Then I go to hostel in kolkata for continuing my study but there I became addicted of fast food. Then I gain weight from 56 to 71. I came back to home after completing the course and I reduced consumption of fast foods. But my weight was not reduced. Then I joined gym at november 2015. Since then I am exercising as per instructor guide and I became to feel lighter. My saggy hands became toned, double chin reduced and but belly fat are not reducing. Every week I measure my weight it neither increased nor reduced. Now my weight is 70 kgs. My height 5ft 3 inches. I never do diet but I do not go to restaurant or fast food corner. I cook at home and eat. But if I cook with oil at home, will be it effecting same like street foods? I do not like strict diets but do not know how to loose my weight. please suggest me a diet where foods have variation, I can make food with easily available items, and a easy detox program. Weight loss and fat loss are not the same. Weight is your whole body weight which is muscle, organs, bones, water. Whereas fat weight is just the fat. You have to concentrate on fats only. There can be many conditions why your weight is not decreasing 1) you may have some hormonal issues. 2) you have developed muscles, which is extremely good. Muscles give you strength and shape to your body. It is most metabolically active tissue of your body. 3) there can be a lot of water retention in the body. It is extremely good that you are already exercising. But you need to follow a good nutrition program as that will help you to lose fat from the body. Your diet must include whole food like vegetables, fruits, whole grains like roti, brown rice, or sheddo chaal which bengalis eat, whole dais like moong, rajma, bengal gram and eggs, fish and chicken in the right proportion. Drink lots of water. Avoid sugars and sweets. You have to see that your body loses inches. Do not bother about the weight.
