I am suffering from psoriasis since 1975 kindly advise what care should be taken to keep it under control.

I am suffering from psoriasis since 1975 kindly advise what care should be taken to keep it under control.
Psoriasis can be considered as the vitiation of vata and kapha. (two of the basic energies/humors, which maintains our body equilibrium) accumulation of low potency poisons (dooshi vishas), are the basic pathological changes taking place in the system. Irregular food habits, consumption of foodstuffs that cannot be eaten together (eg: dairy products with fish), excessive intake of yogurt, black gram, seafood, sour and salted items etc can activate the pathogenesis. Alcohol and tobacco consumption will act as a catalyst here. Ayurveda do emphasize on the effect of stress in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. There are many medicines in ayurveda for psoriasis like ras manikya ras. Gandhak rasayan. Panchnimbadi churna. Panchtikta ghrit guggul. Pranacharya b clean syrup. Marichyadi oil. But for proper treatment you have to strictly follow diet plan and regularly take medicines for 6 months.

I am suffering from early ejaculation problem. Please suggest a useful medicines to me.
Hello, duration of sexual act or stamina or performance vary from person to person depending upon the psyche to control it. Few people complain of premature ejaculation and few complain that they are not able to discharge in time. Some techniques as per sexologist kinsey can be applied where root of the penis is pressed for few seconds before expected emmision and thereby emmision is delayed for some time. The technique require some personal training for few days and correct dietary habits.

Eat Like an Olympian and Improve Your Body's Strength

Eat Like an Olympian and Improve Your Body's Strength

If you have been following the recently held Rio Olympics, you may have been left astounded by the sheer strength, stamina and performance on display. For a strong body that scores high on the stamina meter, it is important to exercise well. But there is one other thing: food. The way one eats, is the way one performs in the physical sense. Ayurveda is an ancient medical science that places special emphasis on the way we eat as this finally dictates the way our bodies react to physical challenges as well as the onset of diseases and aging. Let us find out how we can eat like an Olympian.

  1. High Performance: For high physical performance, Ayurveda places special emphasis on the removal of Ama from the body. Ama are the toxins that build up in one’s body. There are various kinds of food that can lead to a high level of Ama, and other kinds of food that can help in flushing the Ama out of the system. Therefore, it is important to eat food that supports the digestive system in terms of maximum absorption of nutrients and routine elimination of toxins. This is a balancing act of the digestive system and its fires, which are known as Agni in Ayurveda. This process also lowers the stress levels significantly, which in turn has a positive bearing on the way our bodies perform when faced with physical pursuits.
  2. Balance, Strength and Speed: In order to be able to run and perform well within a certain time frame, it is important to build balance and strength. Ayurveda has a number of herbs like Shilajit and Ashwagandha that will help in this process. These kinds of herbs can be used to season salads and other dishes so that one gets a healthy dose of the same. Indian Gooseberry, Persian Rose and Coriander are some of the other herbs that can also be used for this purpose.
  3. Resistance and Endurance: In order to build resistance and endure with full strength, on the playing field, one will need to eat healthy food on a regular basis. As per Ayurveda, it is important to eat your meals in a routine manner and include all food groups within the span of a single day. Fruit, fresh green vegetables, and dairy products are all required for transporting fuel through various parts of the body for good digestion, absorption of nutrients for better energy, and high performance.
  4. Muscle Tone: In order to improve one’s muscle tone, one can have plenty of Amla berry. This is also known as the Indian gooseberry. The muscle tone can also be improved with other vitamin C rich foods. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

I understand your sentiments when you say that you want to control your diabetes without medicines. I want to tell you that it is possible. But only for those patients who are at a very early stage of diabetes which means that they have very low sugar derangement which can be handled by exercise and diet alone. Only way to know that is by trying dietary compliance and good exercise regime. After these efforts if your sugar gets in control then you can sure that you can avoid medicines. But remember two things. Checking of sugars should be regular. One time control does not mean consistent control. Second, if your sugars are out of control then don't keep avoiding medicines because your body is facing the bad effects of diabetes already.

Hi, I am Sohail Patel, am 18years old male. From last 3months I have a severe headache, I have a business and am the ...
Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. Your issues seem to be mostly due to a chronic tension headache owing to lack of sleep over couple of months. To manage and alleviate pain, you can try light tapotement, with your fingers, on the head, including back side of your head, for 5 to 10 minutes. For this, you may either take help of a trained masseur or someone else can also help you with the same. Pressing the tips of both your thumbs together, tightly, for a couple of minutes and then releasing the same may also help release stress headaches, if any, and feel better. It is imperative that you relax and do not exert yourself either by doing some strenuous mental or physical work while you get these headaches. From a dietary and lifestyle standpoint, I would advise that you take care of the following in general which usually help prevent and lessen such issues - (a) take a healthy diet, majorly leafy greens and fresh fruits and have at least 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Ensure that you take your food timely. Avoid any kind of greasy, oily, high calorie foods including fast foods. Avoid taking too much of sweets, pastries, dairy products etc. Take green tea twice daily, without milk. (b) do exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. Walking is the simplest and the safest exercise. (c) keep your lifestyle streamlined, with due focus on destressing and relaxation on a daily basis. You can practise yoga, especially'savasana' for 15 to 20 minutes, daily. Along with, you should also practise breathing exercises ('pranayama') daily. This shall also help develop focus. (d) ensure that you promptly respond to the nature calls and empty your bowels regularly. Constipation, at times, may also trigger heavy headache. (e) ensure a good sleep on a daily basis. You should practise going to bed on time and have at least 7 to 8 hours of restful sleep on a daily basis. Remember that lacking sleep regularly can be risky as it may lead to serious degenerative and chronic diseases. (f) avoid exposure to cold wind, foods and drinks. (g) over and above my recommendations as mentioned above, make sure that you take regular breaks, relax yourself for some time and then get back to your work. Remember that de-stressing yourself at periodically is essential to your staying engaged with your work, and enjoying the same/ learning throughout. At the same time, it is also important that you set realistic goals that are specific, achievable, measurable and time bound. This shall help reduce/ off load your work stress significantly. (h) additionally, ensure that you take care of your posture and the needful ergonomics to make learning/ studying/ working a joyful experience. Hope this helps. Should you still have let know if you still have issues and I shall advise on the steps next. Do take care and all the very best.
