It may be a fissure or piles or fistula or polyp. It will require a physical examination by a general surgeon to establish the diagnosis. Anal problems improve with general measures but may require surgery. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon.

Constipation: is due to an incorrect lifestyle and irregular eating patterns, not taking enough fluids, sedentary lifestyle. Foods that are heavy and difficult to digest, as well as oily, spicy, fried, and junk foods are the culprits. Eating food in a disturbed atmosphere or in front of the television and being awake late at night all lead to bowel disturbance. Psychological factors like stress, anxiety, fear, jealousy, and sorrow also play an important role. Diet & lifestyle advice: increase intake of fiber, especially fruits and cooked vegetables. An apple or pineapple/pomegranate each day is helpful. Drink 7-8 glasses of lukewarm water each day. Take daily morning and evening walks for at least 20-30 minutes each. Eat whole grains /nuts/sprouts and muesli in breakfast avoid refined foods like white flour, bread, pasta, pizza, white rice, or high protein foods like cheese, meat and cold foods like ice cream or chilled drinks take meals in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food should be warm and freshly -prepared, as cold food slows the digestive power. Take 30 ml/6 tsp of syp piclin thrice daily after meals with lukewarm water.

Know More About Fistula

Namaskar dosto, Centre for piles and fistula se anovector specialist main Dr Ruchi Gupta, main Dr Rakesh Gupta. Aaj hum baat karenge guda marg mein hone wale ek rog jisse bhagandar ya fistula inano bhi kaha jata hai. Yeh gudda marg ke area mein hone wali ek bimari hai, jismein mareez ko uske aas paas ke area mein ek swelling ho jati hai jismein kabhi kabhi pain ya puss ka risaav bhi mareez ko mehsoos hota hai. Generally isko patient ek samanya access ya thoda samajh kar kuch antibiotics or painkiller le leta hai Jaise kuch samay ke liye aaram bhi mil jata hai, lekin kuch samay ke baad isme phir se puss pad jati hai, phir se wahi pain and swelling ke lakshan utpann ho jate hain. Yeh fistula ka hi ek lakshan hai, so basically fistula is a chronic first discharging sinus occuring in the vicinity of anal canal matlab ki gudaa marg or uske aas paas ke area mein hone wala ek sinus ya tract hi fistula hai, jisme puss banti hai jo kabhi kabhi shauch marg se ya phir uske aas paas ke area se bhi bahar nikalti hai. Ab hum baat karenge iske ilaj ke baare mein, dosto mai aapko fistula ke treatment ke baare mein batana chahunga, fistula jisko hum bhaggandar kehte hain aur isme jo chikitsa hai Ayurvedic dawai, homeopathic dawai, allopathic dawai kisi bhi tarike se dawa ke madhyam se iska puri tarah ilaj nahi ho sakta. Iske ilaj ke do tarike hain, number 1, kuch log allopathic surgery kara lete hain, number 2, Ayurvedic Kshah Sutra Therapy. Surgery ke madhyam se jab iska treatment karte hain toh usme reouccrence ke chances bahut jyada hote hain, patient ka operation kar lete hain uske ek mahine, do mahine, ek saal baad usko phir dobara ye problem khadi ho jati hai, jabki hum jab is Ayurvedic Kshah Sutra Therapy ke madhyam se iska treatment karte hain. This is the one of the best successful treatment for this fistula treatment, basically, isme reoccurence chances very much minimum in case of Ayurvedic Kshah Sutra treatment, iss therapy ke madhyam se jab treatment kiya jata hai toh usmein hum natural tissues ko, abundance of fat in the perinal area jo hota hai isko hum bachate hain na ki usko katate hain as the allopathy does. That is why reoccurrence chances are very minimum in case of Ayurvedic Kshah Sutra Therapy treatment. Plus saath mein hum ayurvedic dawaiya bhi chalate hain, 99% iss mein successful treat hota hai aur uske dobara hone ke chances bahut kam hote hain. Kuch logon mein ye bhranti hoti hai iss treatment ke baare mein ki ye painful hota hai, isme isa kuch nahi hota koi bleeding nahi hoti koi tention lene ki avashyakta nahi hoti isme, aur aap second day, third day se apna kaam shuru ho jate hain. Bas isme aapko once in a week centre pe visit karna hota hai aur bahut jaldi problem kam ho jati hai kisi bhi tarah ki koi painful therapy nahi hai. So isi ke saath meai is topic ko samapt karta hoon, yadi aap mein se koi bhi fistula ya bhagandhar naam ke rog se pidit hai, toh aap hamare Centre pe visit karke is chikitsa ka labh utha sakte hain ya phir Lybrate ke madhyam se bhi aap humse sampark kar sakte hain.

I have high sugar levels around 275 (random) due to chronic pancreatitis. What should be my ideal diet and also suggest me some fruits. How can I increase my weight.

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology, Diploma in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, Cetificate Course In Thyroid Disorders Management (CCMTD)
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr Abhishek, Diabetes with pancreatitis, needs to be treated with Insulin Injections because there is hardly any insulin production. All the permitted fruits like papaya, orange, sweet lime, water melon, apple, pear, pomegranate and guava etc are good enough. But only about 100 g a day. As regards adding weight you will have to first achieve a strict blood glucose control with fasting closer to 100 mg and PP 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c%<6.8. Then you might look at taking some protein supplement and regular exercise to build muscles. Thanks.

Acute Diarrhoea And Homoeopathy

Homeopath, Chennai
Acute Diarrhoea And Homoeopathy

Diarrhoea (or diarrhoea) is when you pass looser or more frequent stools than you do normally. It is one of the main symptoms of gastroenteritis, the other is vomiting. Gastroenteritis is inflammation of the stomach or intestine as a result of a bacterial or viral infection. Diarrhoea usually last for 2-4 days without the need for treatment, however, severe diarrhoea may be life threatening. This is due to fluid loss in watery diarrhoea, particularly in infants and young children, the malnourished and people with weakened immunity.

What causes diarrhoea?

In general, diarrhoea infections are spread through the consumption of contaminated food and water (hence diarrhoea after eating), by dirty hands, or direct contact with faecal matter. Many different types of bacteria viruses and parasites can cause gastroenteritis and subsequently diarrhoea. Some common ones include:

Bacteria. E. G. Salmonella or escherichia (e. Coli) viruses. E. G. Norovirus or rotavirusparasites. E. G. Giardia intestinal water,

What are the symptoms?

You may experience one or more of the following:

Watery stools
Upset stomach or cramps
Urgent need to use the toilet
Nausea and vomiting
Loss of appetite

Prevention tips

Safe drinking water:

Contaminated water is one of the most significant factors contributing to infectious diseases in developing countries. Make sure you have access to safe water and if storing water in your home be sure to keep the water vessel covered, don't allow anyone to directly touch the water or drink from the vessel and thoroughly rinse the vessel after every use. If you are unsure of the quality of your water, treat it before drinking.

Toilet hygiene:

Using a toilet for the safe disposal of human waste (urine and faeces) is an essential part of the preventing the spread of germs that can cause diarrhoea. Always use a toilet which is connected to the sewerage system or on-site sanitation system (e. G. Septic tank or seepage pit). Flush the toilet after use to make sure all faecal matter is removed and use a toilet cleaner and brush to remove any build-up on the inner surfaces of the toilet. It is also important to keep the area around the toilet clean and regularly touched surfaces (such as the seat, lid, the flush handle should be cleaned and disinfected regularly). Keep the toilet covered to prevent the transfer of germs by flies.

Cloths used to clean the toilet and toilet areas should not be used for cleaning other areas of the home.

Food hygiene:

Good food hygiene will help to prevent gastroenteritis and diarrhoea from food poisoning.

Clean and disinfect food preparation surfaces: after preparing food (especially raw meat, fish or eggs), clean and disinfect any kitchen surfaces that you’ve used. Dirty utensils, cutlery and crockery can be cleaned with detergent and hot water store raw and cooked food separately cook food thoroughly and evenly properly refrigerate food to stop the growth of bacteria

Take extra care when someone in your family is suffering from diarrhoea.

Avoid sharing cutlery, utensils, towels and other personal care items such as flannels and sponges with other household members those suffering from diarrhoea should avoid preparing food for others clean and disinfect your toilet, including the toilet seat and toilet flush, after each bout of diarrhoea remember to wash your hands thoroughly and regularly with soap and water, wait at least 48 hours after symptoms have cleared up before returning to work or school

Homoeopathy has a wonderful effect in controlling diarrhoea since it is the susceptibility which lets us fall prey to bacteria, which generally remain harmless to a healthy person thus treating the disease, not the bacteria and after completion of the acute episode person should go for constitutional homoeopathic treatment to become more resistant for future infections.
Some of more common remedies for diarrhoea are, mercurious solubilus, camphora, veratrum album, Bryonia, gelsemium, baptisia, Aethusa, chamomilla, phosphorus, thuja etc.
