Diet-- Avoid salt intake limited. Avoid also FRY, FATTY & FAST foods. stop smoking totally also alcohol. Take plenty of vegetables&fruits.

In hypothyroidism:-- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consut doctor on time.

Hello, some common treatment options for premature ejaculation include behavioral techniques, medications and counseling. Combination of these might be the most effective but it might take time. Behavioral techniques:- Masturbate one or two hour before sex so that you are able to delay ejaculation. - avoid intercourse for a period of time and focus on other sexual play so that pressure is removed from your sexual encounters. - pelvic floor exercise - Kegel exercise strengthen your pelvic muscles. - try squeeze technique. - condom might decrease penis sensitivity and help you to delay ejaculation. Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. What do we mean by Polycystic Ovaries?

Ans: Poly means many (multiple) and cysts are fluid-filled areas. Thus, a woman with polycystic ovaries will have a higher number of follicles (immature eggs which look like small cysts) in her ovaries. Because of more follicles growing in her ovaries, these appear larger in size on ultrasound. It is like to accommodate more number of students in a classroom, we need a larger room.

Polycystic ovaries are very common affecting 20 in 100 (20%) of women.

Having polycystic looking ovaries on ultrasound does not mean you have a polycystic ovary syndrome. Only around 6 or 7 in 100 (6 - 7%) of women with polycystic ovaries have PCOS and we need to look at other symptoms and hormones to diagnose this condition.

Hye, Thanks for the query. To stay fit and healthy you need to eat as per what your body needs. Try to avoid long gaps in between meals. Do not fast for long hours. This will help avoid binging in the next meal. If you want to adopt a healthy diet includes a variety of foods from the major food groups: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and lean protein including beans and other legumes, nuts and seeds, and healthy fats. Include foods you can find in your local grocery store  — rather than specialty non local foods. Local and seasonal foods always give us the right nutrients. Do consider your health risks if you have any when choosing foods. Stay away from calorie-laden, fatty and salty convenience and highly processed and junk foods.  Experiment with quick and healthy cooking techniques, such as baking, grilling and sauteing. Learn important food safety tips. Avoid unwanted stress. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Sleep well and drink plenty of water.

I am of 63 years old with a lean built and weighing 54kg. Without any health issues at all. In the recent executive health check up, my report was excellant without any signs of ill health. I was advised to walk for 30 minutes. However many people say walking is not for people like me i. e with good health and lean personality. What should I do?

1) aswaganda: it is called indian ginseng, has long been used by ayurvedic practitioners as a rejuvenating tonic. It has antiinflammatory, antitumor, anti stress, antioxidant, immune modulatory and rejuvenating properties. This herb fortifies our ability to cope with stress, reduce anxiety, improves mental acuity, reaction time and physical performance.

2). Ginkgo biloba: it is useful for improvements in thinking, learning and memory. Improvements in daily living and in social behavior, and reduced symptoms of depression.

I have a tight foreskin which is retractable when flaccid and tight when erect. Sometimes I pulled the skin off when flaccid and try to maintain the position when hard, it hurts initially it was not bearable but I can bear some pain now but not for long. I can maintain the glans hygiene by daily washing it off. Should I need a circumcision or will it pull back by itself. I am currently unmarried so but worried about future. Dear Lybrate user. Phimosis is a congenital narrowing of the opening of the foreskin so that it cannot be retracted. Phimosis is a very common problem. In most of the cases you can clear the problem yourself. Phimosis could cause moderate to severe pain while having vaginal intercourse. Apply oil on your foreskin and on the glans. Move the foreskin forward and back slowly without hurting you much. Because the oil is lubricant, it will be easier than without oil. Do this forward and back movement 20 times several times in a day. Repeat the same every day for around one month. You will get the elasticity and you will be able to retract the foreskin completely. In case if there is no result from the above massage, you can always go for a minor surgical procedure called circumcision. Take care.

My father has been detected with diabetes recently and advised to take diabetes medicines but he is not taking any medicines. But he is following a strict diet to keep a check on his sugar level. Hi as long as sugar levels are within limits then its ok, how ever your father's post food sugar levels are very high. He has to have strict control on diet and do meticulous walking/exercise to keep the sugar levels in control. He can try this for 2 months and recheck the sugar levels and hba1c values. If they are normal continue the above advice, if not consult the doctor who can treat diabetes. Wish your father good health
