I am a 18 year old boy and I have dandruff problem for the past 6 years I have tried all the shampoos and even some old methods but still I can't find a solution . Please help!

BHMS

Hi, seborrheic dermatitis is also called dandruff, seborrheic eczema and seborrheic psoriasis. It isn't contagious, and it's not a sign of poor personal hygiene. Few self-care tips can help you control and manage seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff): soften and remove scales from your hair. Apply mineral oil or olive oil to your scalp. Leave it in for an hour or so. Then comb or brush your hair and wash it. Wash your skin regularly. Rinse the soap completely off your body and scalp. Avoid harsh soaps and use a moisturizer. Avoid products that contain alcohol. These can cause the disease to flare up. Wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. This helps keep air circulating around your skin and reduces irritation. If you have a beard or mustache, consider shaving it off. Seborrheic dermatitis can be worse under mustaches and beards. If this is the case for you, shaving might ease your symptoms. Avoid scratching. Scratching can increase irritation and your risk of infection. Gently clean your eyelids. If your eyelids show signs of redness or scaling, wash them each night with baby shampoo and wipe away scales with a cotton swab. Warm or hot compresses also may help. Use lukewarm water for head wash. Medication: take homoeopathic medicines - schwabe's badiaga 200 & alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use schwabe's anti-dandruff shampoo and anti-dandruff oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use bakson's arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, you can take one tablet of multivitamin folli hair once daily for 1 month.

I had severe constipation. Neurosurgeon said it is due to cervical myelopathy. I underwent surgery past 12 days. But my constipation is still severe. How severe constipation will get solve? I am taking laxatives, fibre, water, isagbol but no effect.

BHMS, CGO
Homeopath, Pune
Advice - constipation remedy: coffee. Coffee can stimulate your colon and speed up your trip to the bathroom. Other hot drinks work too: herbal tea or a cup of hot water with a little lemon juice (a natural laxative) or honey may stimulate your colon as well. Nux - vomica - 30, night one dose 5 pills, sulphur - 30 morning dose 5 pills. All are temporary treatment as per provided information, for permanent cure we need detail history and investigations. Homeopathy is best, safe and effective. We treated every day 8-10 patients of constipation and diarrohea no side effects, no worries our 94% success rates makes sure we're the complete package.

My face is very prone to pimples. What can I do to stop pimples and their marks too?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days.

My age 12 years and in this age I have skin problems like pimples. What should i do?

BHMS
Homeopath, Secunderabad
Do not worry. Keep the skin hydrated and drink lots of water during summer. Wash the skin with plain water and do not pluck the pimples or keep touching the skin as it may infect the skin. Eat healthy food and avoid all junk food and cold-drinks. Have lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Usually the pimples subside on their own with proper skin hygiene. If needed you can take Homeopathy if it becomes severe.

Generic medicine although claims to hve the same efficacy as branded medicines (theretically) yet you can think practically how can you get a thing in rs 3 which others are giving at rs 50. Indians are always going before cost ,try quality product ,its you life. Every thing can not be free. How can you get a I phone at cost of micromax, both are smart phone same feature but there is a huge difference in quality.

What I do for remove my pimples I also use clinmiskin but I have no any effect of this cream please suggest me.

Hi, Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). I have pimples in my hole chest and back. Quantity of pimples is too mach. Since 4-5 years.

MD
Yoga & Naturopathy Specialist, Delhi
Line of treatment for pimples: 1) start with washing the face 5-6 times a day. 2) take an enema for first 6 six days. 3) eat only fruits for these six days. Still better course will be to sustain on plain water for 2-3 days and then start on fruit diet. 4) apply steam on the face once every day for first six days and then twice a week. The method for applying steam is as follows: 5) take a vessel (topia or pateela or bhagona) of about 2 kg capacity. Fill it half by water and put it to full boil. When water starts to boil cover the vessel and put it on a table. The patient sits on a chair and covers his head, shoulders, upper back and the vessel by a thick multi folded bed cover. It should be large enough to not to let the steam escape from sides. Open the vessel cover a little at a time, keeping the face close to the vessel. Inhale steam through mouth and exhale through nose. Continue opening the vessel a little more at a time till it is completely open and the flow of steam stops. Wash the face with cold water. 6) come back to regular food but completely avoid spicy, fried foods. Eat lots of salads (not less than 200 gms with every meal) and fruits. Avoid fried foods, sugar and maida. 7) if you continue this way not only the pimples will go, the general health will also improve. The patients will experience reduced bouts of cold and cough. Sinus congestion will also be removed. For your particular case you should take bath immediate after the steam intake.

Hi! Dark spots are usually common in people who have acne and develop black spots when acne resolves. It is also caused due to sun exposure, certain over the counter medications, hormonal imbalances, cosmetic applications etc. There are a wide range of treatments for hyperpigmentation. The success depends on the cause of the hyperpigmentation. Strict sun protection and use of sunscreen are required in order to prevent worsening and recurrence of hyperpigmentation before, during and after treatment. Visit a dermatologist in your area so that he/she can access the extent of your hyperpigmentation and make a customised treatment plan. The treatment for black spots could include topical medications, use of serums according to your skin type and cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels & laser therapy. There are no magic bullets for removing pigmentation. It is wise to avoid over the counter products which may sometimes contain some molecules which thin out the skin and cause extra growth as side effect.

I have pimples problem from over 3 years and in every summer my face filled with full of acne and pimple what should I do.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
These are the causes of acne : • excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland ) . • Due to hormonal imbalance and infection by bacteria . These are the methods to treat acne problem : • To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level.Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne.So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily . • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse.if you touch it then clean your face with water. • you can use a face pack of fuller 's earth ( multani mitti ) with rose water one time in a day for seven days.it removes toxins from skin. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp .Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric.Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Steam your face to open the pores ,which in turn clear the skin .steam your face for a couple of minutes. • use a mild moisturiser for your skin.

These are mainly due to viral infection and takes time for atleast 5 days. If child is taking orally well and not vomiting --> the not to worry eventually drugs would show improvement. Regards. However if your giving formula feeds then do not forget to switch to lo lactose containing formula milk. As routine formula may increase the probs due to lactose content in it.

Hello, I am a 27 years old guy and I am having acne problem. Due to acne, my skin has open pores. Is there any treatment which can be done to recover the new skin and stop the acne? Thanks.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.
