What will be the process of treatment for a patient who has just overcome from the first stage of cancer?

Ex Sen.V.Surgeon/Research Scientist, M.D.(Alternative Medicine/tibetan/chinese/acupuncture), Vaida/ Unani, Homeopath
Unani Specialist, Moga
Hi treatment cancer;;-- you may need 4-6 doctors/experts to cure a cancer, at different stages 1- surgery may be required in advanced stage cases. 2-radiology may be of some help as supportive therapy till patient is able to tolerate. 3-i do not recommend chemo-therapy-as its side effects are irreversible. So better it should be avoided. 4-symptomatic therapy--is very helpful alongwith as supportive therapy. It includes ayurvedic/ homeopathic/ herbal etc-glucose, blood, vitamines, fluids etc, pain killers, anti inflammatory drugs etc, 5-tibetan therapy--medicine -cancero -is the best available so for, little cheaper, 100%--results with no side effects. It can be used both as preventive as well as curative in all types of cancers/ tumors. It can be used alone or in combination with other therapies. --so a combination of all may be required for final

Frequency of urination may be because of UTI, or urine infection, get culture sensitivity done and take a course of antibiotics. Get urine routine microscopy also done. Grade I prostatomegaly may be benign please get it treated by urologist. You can also get PSA levels checked.

I do not think antibiotics has anything to do with your symptoms of fatigue, weakness, etc. Although the disease itself may cause such symptoms. Pls maintain a proper diet and if needed you may take multivitamins.

My mom recently done for chemotherapy and radiation for CA of breast. And now she is using tamoxifen. But somebody told that there may be risk of cervical cancer. Is that true?

Registrar in Surgical Oncology, Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology, Masters In Advanced Oncology, Fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery, Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Oncology
Oncologist, Mumbai
Tamoxifen theoretically increases the risk of endometrial cancer and not cervical cancer. Hence you have to do a 6 monthly usg abdomen to measure endometrial thickness. If it increases beyond a certain limit, tamoxifen will be stopped and other endocrine therapy may be started. However risk is small and the advantage of tamoxifen outweigh the risks.

Sir, I have a family history of cancer patients and so fear and want to be alert. Want to know what is the simplest and cheapest method / tests that can detect any budding problem in my body. Thanks.

DNB, MBBS
Oncologist, Faridabad
Sir, it depends on what kind of cancers your family was suffering from. Otherwise cheapest and the simplest thing is regularly examination of self and if you feel any lump, any abnormal ulceration or any abnormal symptoms, see a doctor. Chest xray, ultrasound, are good for organs not visible by examination. You can also check blood for psa CEA levels and routine hemogram. Best is not to ignore any symptoms, usually we see patients have long standing problems but they ignore thinking it's just normal. Any changes in body must be checked.

Why people survive with cancer if any kind of anty dot have you guys please save life.

DNB, MBBS
Oncologist, Faridabad
Dear sir, cancer is a disease related to genetic causes, which is mostly modified by lifestyle. Even if we find out the faulty gene in a person it's Not possible to modify the genes atleast now. So changing lifestyle remains the only viable option apart from vaccination for few infective causes like HPV related cancers.

Dear, there is nothing to worry at the moment. Minor change in bcr_abl does occur. By continuing the same medicine it should come to normal. I feel that the dose of medicine you are taking is on lower side. You can seek the advice from your treating doctor to increase it to 200 mg. Daily.
