Sometimes teeth become sensitive after getting a filling done. If the problem persists for more than 2-3 days, visit your dentist for knowing exact cause and remedy of the sensitivity.

My gums bleed daily while i brush ! What is the best way to prevent it ?please revert asap!

BDS
Dentist,
Healthy gums don't bleed easily. They will remain healthy if you keep them clean. Get scaling done first and then reevaluate. Start off with a healthy balanced diet to rule out nutrient deficiency

Hello Doctor, I am Raju and age 33 year's old and suffering from teeth problem, as my corner teeth & gums got damaged and beside teeth became sensitive. And when I consulted dentist, they suggested for removal of all 4 corner teeth and 1 thing I came to know that is it is very risky if we remove corner teeth and it leads to decrease of eye sight. And am unable to drink Cool and Hot liquid's and other items. Kindly suggest me for the same. Thanks, Raju.

Hello Doctor,
I am Raju and age 33 year's old and suffering from teeth problem, as my corner teeth & gums got damaged...
Hello, I understand your concern. It is a big misconception that removal of teeth (especially upper) can damage the eyesight. Surprisingly, removal of teeth has nothing to do with eyes! So don't worry about that. For any seriously damaged teeth, there are two common options, either root canal, or removal/extraction. Since your doctor has already suggested removal, he might not have found the teeth restorable and you should hence go for removal. Till then, you can take any medications suggested by your dentist for symptomatic relief. Feel free to consult me, too. Take care and get well soon.

I am facing problem with sensitive teeth. I used different tooth pastes like sensodyne and colgate sensitive nothing could solve my problem. What is the reason. If loss of enamel is the reason then how to restore it.

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS

Try any cream containing potassium nitrate, it will give you a instant relief so use it before eating anything so you can have proper diet. And than replace your tooth paste with" nafix" it will help to restore enamel. You can also visit a dentist for professional varnish application it will give instant and lasting relief from sensitivity plus also you will be getting the reason for your sensitivity.

Hi if your teeth are still sensitive, and you are certain of the area involved, you need to see the dentist again. There might be decay between the teeth that is often difficult to detect and maybe overlooked, esp. When other more obvious lesions are present. A more detailed examination necessitated by persistent symptoms after such symptoms might well lead to the detection of such problems. You also have the option of a second opinion. Often, a different person might be able to look at your problem more objectively, and, maybe locate the issue. In the meantime, you can use any desensitizing toothpaste 2 to 3 times a day to help with the symptoms.

Hello, bad smell from mouth could be because of deposits or food lodgement between teeth. Visit a dentist and get your scaling and polishing done. It could also be because of cold, acidity, stomach problems, not drinking enough water, not eating or fasting for long intervals. Brush twice daily, floss regularly. You can avoid it by rinsing after every 1-2 hours.

There is no valid data to prove the healing power of coconut oil to treat decay /caries of teeth. It's one of grand mothers home remedies to maintain sparkling teeth. Egyptians used this as s part of beauty regimen where after brushing you take a mouthful of oil and gargle for few minutes .spit it out and massage your teeth and gums for some time .these trends are followed by many celebrities too .but once decayed tooth cannot be healed by oil. It's just of maintenance many follow. Where oil acts like a mouth wash post brushing and massaging of gums helps in rejuvenation due to mechanical stimulation .other than that no scientific proof of healing dental problems.
