1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar.

I am 49 years, last two years I suffered from typical problem. When ever I am sitting, laying the body part which comes into contact with chair or bed gives burning sensation. I cannot seat or lay for longer time. Treated by orthopedic he prescribe certain medicine including neuro digestion. can you please tell what is it.?

Burning sensation happens whenever that part of the skin is exposed like if there is abrasion etc so can you please clarify regarding local skin involved.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am 42 years old I have pain in my fingers joints and toe joints my uric acid level is 5.8. How I can get rid of this problem?

It needs to be investigated. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Physiotherapy usually helps any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. It may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

If you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know how you are feeling. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine (ap & lateral) and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. What are remedial action I can take to cure back pain when wake up in morning after night sleep?
Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Lybrate-user ji aapane apni mom ki age aur weight nahi bataye. Knee pain k liye ye bahot jaruri hai. Your mom need to reduce weight. Along with it she also need to undergo knee replacement surgery. Now a days you can undergo such surgery with 4 or 5 days hospitalisation only. Consult a gud orthopaedic surgeon of your town who is doing knee replacement surgery. And let your mom undergo this surgery.

Dear Lybrate User, As per your complains it may be due to Osteoarthritis OR Rheumatism OR Gout or Degenerative changes. For conformation of this you need to under go some investigations. Initially avoid yogurt, curt, excessive spicy & slaty foods, fast food & junk food, cold water/milk, cold drinks, avoid sprouted pulses like mung-chana etc. Don't sit directly at floor. Have hot fomentation on Joints & painful area, do small exercises of joints, Took proper sun bath, fruits & vegetables except all beans & pulses. U need ayurvedic panchkarma treatment. For more discussion consult me personally. Your tiredness may be due to deficiency of vitamins & trace elements OR as per your age it may be due to Menopausal syndrome of body due to faulty life style and dietary habits. As its summer stated you need plant of water to avoid dehydration. Please share your details like food habit, water intake, bowel habit, sleep pattern, job nature, stress in life etc.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Dear you only have planter fasciitis and if it is not healing in about 6-8 weeks then it is resistant and shall need detailed evaluation and imaging to confirm that diagnosis. Yuo can use soft slippers and take pain killers for a while.

I have started doing gym since last couple of months, lately I am experiencing pain on the left elbow. My instructor told me that it could be due to nerves getting less nutrition. Could you please suggest and share your views? 40 years, male.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your elbow pain can be due to multiple reasons: 1) it could be due to ligament strain in elbows since you are doind gymn 2) it could be due to inflammation around epicondyles which is very common my advise would be to manage it like an acute inflammation, so lots of ice packs, local analgesic spray, short course of anti-inflammatory medication which suits you, restriction of your physical activity till pain completely subsides. We will observe this protocol for around 2 weeks, if your pain persists, then we will get some tests done for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Most of the patients of backache don't need surgery. They can be managed without operation. Proper remedial exercises along with some medicines go a long way in the management of the ailment.

Hi, give her homoeopathic medicines orally - rhus tox. 200 and ruta g. 200 - both twice a day daily and apply schwabe's topi-mp ointment twice a day in a circular manner for 2 weeks. Wrap a crepe bandage after a while. Revert.

Avoid sitting posture as far as possible. Do not sit on sofa or bed. Practice bhujangasan, shalbhasan, makarasan, markatasan, chakrasan. Start physiotherapy. Consult orthopaedic surgeon if symptoms persist.

Along with calcium rich diet your brother need calcium supplement that can be started after personal consultation note some Calcium rich foods 1. Cheese 2. Yogurt 3. Milk 6. Fortified cereals such as Total, Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes (They have a lot of calcium in one serving.) 5. Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, turnips, and collard greens 7. Fortified orange juice 8. Soybeans 9. Fortified soy milk (Not all soy milk is a good source of calcium, so it's best to check the label.) 10. Enriched breads, grains, and waffles

You can maintain it by 1. Eat small and frequent 4 -5 meals in a day, instead of 3 heavy meals. 2. Drink 3 -4 lts of water daily. 3. Include high-protein foods like milk and milk products, paneer, dals, soybeans, eggs, chicken/fish (if non-vegetarian). Reduce excess carbohydrate intake like rice, banana, chips, burgers, pizzas, etc 4. Minimize sugar intake in the form of sweets, cakes, pastries, chocolates, etc 5. Use less of oil to cook your food as well as stop eating fried stuff like puris, chips, samosas, etc. 6. Include 30 minutes brisk walks 5-6 times a week.
