I am 18 years old. I have a problem of pimples on face. I have tried so many medicines and homemade prevention but nothing is helpful. I also want to remove spots of acnes from my face.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you when ever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples. Kindly note that this medication may not be sufficient enough to take care of your problem. These medicines are based on the symptoms of your diseased condition & these medicines need to be complemented by further deep-acting remedies in order to permanently eliminate the underlying cause of the disease. So I would suggest you to consult me privately via lybrate as it is very necessary to diagnose the proper underlying cause of your problem if you are wishing for a permanent relief from your problems. A permanent annihilation of the underlying cause of the disease will not only provide you relief from your troubles but it will also cease any chance of further relapse of that particular disease condition.

How to use cow urine for my hair regrowth? How to use it internally or externally for my hair growth?

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
Feed your hair: Have a good balanced diet Hair requires a good number of vitamins and minerals too. Vitamin A encourages healthy production of sebum in the scalp and also helps in hair growth. It is found in dark leafy green vegetables, sweet red peppers, mango, papaya etc. Vitamin B12 found in milk, and milk products, beans etc. Is useful for hair growth. Biotin is very important for hair health. A deficiency of biotin can cause hair fall and hair thinning. So, if you are suffering from hair fall, include foods like dairy products, nuts, green vegetables e.g. Cabbage that are rich source of biotin in your regular diet. 2. Give hair their building blocks: Have a protein-rich diet Proteins are the building blocks of hair. Adequate protein intake promotes hair health and in turn helps curb hair loss. Indulge in a protein-rich diet, which comes in the form of lentils, dried beans, cottage cheese and of course, milk.   3. Hydrate your hair: Have enough water.

Its about hair loss. Now I am of 23 years. From last 7 years I have the problem of hair loss, is there any solution for stop this, and is it possible to grow new hairs?

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Your hair needs a high protein well-rounded diet. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hair and nails are both protein fibers. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hairgrowth and repair I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

I don't look as fair as before. The skin becomes oily and sweaty. Acne comes and goes repeatedly. I didn't have any skin problems until last 3 years. I have tried organic treatments like turmeric face packs, orange peel extract, banana peel rubbing, milk, etc. But no effect or less effect. Please suggest a proper way to tackle the situation.

Dear lybrate-user, as you are in your teens it is normal to have acne. Some have more some have less do first of all don't be stressed with these. You require to consult a dermatologist for specialist opinion. And as I can see you weigh 73 kg, that is too much for your age and height, kindly try and reduce the same. It will help you. Do not burst your pimples as they will leave scars and bad marks behind.

Hormone level change during youth or puberty makes the scalp oily and causes dandruff. People think applying oil in hair will help them get rid of dandruff though it is not true. Oil doesn’t help remove dandruff in any way.

I am having pimples on my back these are from any energy but I tried every thing.

Advanced Aesthetics, Diploma in Trichology - Cosmetology, CSD (Dermatology), BUMS

Hi lybrate-user, acne on the back occurs due to activity of oil glands & associated infection, we have more oil glands on face, shoulders, back so that is why acne are more in these areas. You can use a cream containing clindamycin & benzoyl peroxide & salicylic or benzoyl peroxide based soap, if still the acne persist I would suggest you to meet the doctor in person as may be some systemic antibiotics or treatments like salicylic peels or laser can be given for resistant cases.

Acne in teenage are very common due to hormonal changes however you should not touch them as they may leave a permanent scar or mark on your face. Use epiduo gel daily night full face for 1 hr light application. Apply kojic cream daily morning full face n on top of it rivela gel sunscreen.
