Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder in which the body recognizes the body's own system as foreign and produces an inflammatory reaction. The synovium which is the space between the bones and the joints and contains a lubricating fluid which allows easy movement of the joints.

Inflammation of this space leads to painful, swollen joints that can also turn red and become stiff over a period of time. The joint surfaces can gradually progresses to produce deformities (the swan-neck deformity of the hand for instance) and disability.

Because it is an autoimmune disorder, the exact etiology is not known but lifestyle, stress, cold weather are supposedly predisposing factors. That being the case, it is not surprising that ayurveda has a variety of options, both in terms of do's and don't's to manage rheumatoid arthritis - both the severity of symptoms and further progression of the disease.

Do's: a well-planned diet will help by supporting optimal functioning of the immune system and nourish the affected joints.

People diagnosed with ra should follow a diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables. Drumsticks, bitter gourd, carrot, papaya, green leafy vegetables, cabbage, etc, reduce inflammation and hyperactivity of the immune system. The antioxidant properties in these neutralize the free radicals circulating in the body (responsible for increasing inflammation). This helps control the longstanding inflammation of the joints
It is also advisable to eat them as whole fruits and not as juices. The fiber in the whole fruits helps digestion
Sprinkle pepper powder over cooling food items like cucumber and radish
Include garlic which is an excellent remedy for ra, can be mixed with buttermilk
Whole grains such as wheat, brown rice, millet, barley are beneficial for ra, their high fiber content helps in proper digestion and promotes regular bowel movements
Honey mixed with water
Drink boiled milk to which dry ginger powder is added; this can replace tea and coffee
Milk mixed with turmeric powder is also helpful in controlling inflammation
Work at reducing weight
Don'ts: in addition to adding the above to your diet, there are some things to avoid, which can worsen symptoms of inflammation.

Avoid overall unhealthy and irregular diet habits which affects the immune system and aggravates symptoms
Avoid sleeping during daytime and staying awake at nights
Avoid deep fried foods and fermented food items
Given its autoimmune nature, it is better to avoid regular allergy-inducing foods like dairy products, soy, peanuts, processed foods, artificial additives, etc. These could trigger an enhanced allergic reaction.
Avoid alcohol, tobacco
Avoid tea and coffee and other caffeinated drinks
With simple daily food habit and lifestyle changes, the severity of ra can be managed effectively.

You are basically on almost maximum allowed tablets, even then ur sugars are still on the higher side.Hope u had taken the tablet and done the tests on the day of the tests. Two option, go for one small dose of night time insulin(lantus) or add tablet onglyza 5mg in the morning. Do a hba1c and revert back.

Hello, The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on these points which helps in right way without harming your body if you don’t have any medical condition. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Hello. Start immediately with homoeopathic medication - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and 10 drops of arnica montana q in 1/2 cup of water and apply on the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor. Repeat the above process every 3rd day for few months. There are certain nutrients that you can add to your daily routine that can help encourage faster, more effective hair growth. Promote thicker hair with folic acid. This is necessary for the growth and repair of hair, take follihair/ 1 tablet daily for 3 months. You can also try increasing the amount of folic acid in your diet. Foods rich in vitamin e include oils, leafy vegetables, nuts, and beans, and most people get plenty of vitamin e when eating a normal diet. -boost circulation with vitamin b3. Healthy circulation may have a positive effect on hair growth. Reports find that b3 is even more effective when taken with biotin. -take in vitamin b5. This is also known as pantothenic acid. It not only helps the body use fats and proteins, necessary for healthy hair, it also has been reported to help reduce stress; and stress can definitely inhibit hair growth. Vitamin b5 occurs naturally in brewer's yeast, broccoli, avocado, egg yolks, organ meats, duck, milk, lobster, whole-grain breads, and more.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation. For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

hello mam, u need to do exercise and take balanced diet as for diabetes alongwith medication. being diabetic, her blood sugar levels are still high even after medication, which is why shes feeling tired and sleepy. u should consult an endocrinologist, may be the medicine is not that effective. also avoid sweets, carbonated drinks, fried foods and processed foods. drink plenty of water. start your day with green tea, an apple and 5 almonds soaked overnight. take chamomile tea before going to bed. include seasonal fruits and vegetables. avoid banana, mango, cheeku, arbi. thank u

Change food habites. Avoid too oily end ghee prepretions (samosa, kachory, aalubada, namkin etc.) take calcium vitamines, minirales, proteins, milk end milk products, dry fruites, fruites etc. Wash face with neem face wash than dry than apply neem face pack dry for 30 monuties than wash with water dry than apply aloe vera end vit. Treatment for grey hair: • Please do the following:Put some coconut oil in a pan. Boil a few dried Indian gooseberry pieces (if you do not have dried amla then use amla powder) in the oil until they become charred. Let the oil cool. Apply the oil on your hair and scalp. DEAR Lybrate USER. A) Take 10-10ml of ginger juice and honey before meal. B) take 30 ml of divya shwasari pravahi (PATANJALI AYURVEDA) along with 30 ml of water after meals. C) eat 5 gm of AJOVA seeds along with 5 gm of jaggery after meals D) take 30 ml of aloe vera juice and 30 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. Do all these things for 15 days. Go for a walk in the morning /evening for an hour. Consumption of plenty of water be ensured. Take salad before meals. Take sprouts and fruits. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals. Avoid junk food. Eat healthy fruits and coconut water for glowing skin.

Health care reforms and few alterations in our normaal routine can make it easier to recover from health related issues.In most of the cases the causative factors are around us and we givemore emphasis towards taking medicines which sometimes further deteriorate our health condition and if we take proper knowledge of the causativee factors,our body immunity can automatically trteat the problem.

I am 34 old year male. Usually after waking up in the morning I have proper bowel movement and I poop properly. Afterwards I take tea and again get a bowel movement, this time my poop becomes thinner accompanied with gas, after which I feel satisfied. You can compare it with a shampoo bottle, which is when full, squeezing results in proper output but when it becomes empty, we have to apply more pressure and shampoo comes out in small quantity with air. From the last three weeks I am having weird condition. My second time bowel movement has stopped or becomes very less and very thin. And I am having a feeling of pressure at both sides of my waist on the back side throughout day. I feel dissatisfied, gas and wants to poop, but I get urge to poop at evening only. I have an ultrasound with no problems. Also thyroid and sugar tests are ok. I have tried antacids with no result. Doctor prescribed me CINTODAC which I am taking from last 9 days with no result. I am taking little frequent diet with fiber and lot of fluid. I tried constipation medicine also.

Good Morning ~ Thank you for a detailed description of your problem. A normal bowel movement for human beings can vary between 3 times per day to three time per week. This is the range of normal and there are many permutations and combinations of any number of conditions in between. I believe that you will find it reassuring to know that a slight variation in your bowel habits is normal. It is also preferable to have a normal bowel movement per day, however as you age or as your diet changes there may be changes in your bowel habits as well. Even if the bowel movement is in the evening it is absolutely fine. If the doctor's prescription is not helping you, it seems to me that you are having some problems with fibre in your diet, and rather than using artificial fibres it may be well to use a diet rich in fibre content. Anyhow, if this does not answer your question to your satisfaction, I am willing to discuss this further and answer any questions or address any concerns you may have regarding your condition.

Swelling can be detected in an ultrasound but to confirm whether it is a cancerous type we have to do a biopsy.
