Please go for dental checkup. Depending upon the condition the dentist will advise (the procedures and the cost will be explained .) Also all other teeth including the gums will be checked. Keep a good dental hygiene so that the caries can be prevented.

Hello Sir, I have a little pain in gums inside mouth since last few days. Please help.
Just do warm saline water gargles and take a mild painkiller. If the pain does not subside get thorough checkup by dentist and treated accordingly.

To avoid infection and reduce pain in a first-degree burn on the tongue: rinse the area well with cool water for a few minutes. Remove any dirt or particles that may be on the burn. Wet a clean cloth with cool water and hold it on top of the burn. Suck on ice chips or a popsicle to soothe the pain. Gargle with cool water or salt water. Avoid warm or hot liquids, which could irritate the burn. Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. Sprinkle a few grains of sugar on the tongue to relieve pain.

Hi after extraction it take some time to heal completely. If pain persist for long periods then consult the dentist who extracted it. Gargle with chlorhexidine mouthwash three times a day. Rinse with lukewarm water.

I have leukoplakia on both sides of cheeks. i was addicted to tobacco and smoking now since two months I left tobacco and smoking. I am taking antioxidant and multivitamin a to z. The patch on one side has become less but it's still there. My biopsy report hyperplastic squamous epithelium with no dysplasia and malignancy seen. How much time it takes for leukoplakia to go can it be removed surgically. Pls advice.

Yes, lukoplakia can be removed surgically. But, lukoplakia is a precancerous condition & despite stopping tobacco use & multivitamins, you will always have slightly high risk of developing oral cancer As such there is no timeline for lukoplakia to disappear. But keep using multivitamins, I'll advocate tab zincovit as multivitamin of choice for you Good luck.

Dear, you said you are having white patch in mouth. Please visit dental surgeon for checkup. Keep mouth healthy and free from infection by cleaning and polishing of teeth and maintenance of oral hygiene. Use colgate total paste and listerin mouthwash twice a day. Do rinse your mouth with listerine mouth wash.

Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance between the ages of 17 and 21, though it's possible for them to push through earlier or later. Referred to as your" third molars, these four teeth begin to push through the skin like any other tooth, which can cause pain. However, wisdom teeth are much more likely to grow in at an incorrect angle – even sideways – causing impaction that can radiate this pain to the teeth in front of it.

I have a 3tooth which is broken. For two of them I've done root canal but did not put cap. Now that tooth is broken. I'm having bad smell because of that. What can I d about it? Will it be expensive?

You need to get it checked first in case of secondary caries…and need to get it mended as soon as possible followed by a cap.

Approximately 4-6 gms of sodium is sufficient for your daily needs. This equals about 2 tsps of common salt. 2-3 tsps of sugar can suffice daily, however this should include any sweets, dessert, and your tea, coffee etc. Try to avoid free sugar intake.... instead have dried fruits & fresh fruits.
