My lips very black. Pls tell me the best vitamin tablets for black lips. Is there any treatment for this problem.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Being a homoeopath,I will suggest you a natural way to glow your lips along with a lip balm. Lemon, Sugar Lip Scrub: In a small bowl, mix in 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and coconut oil. Add in and stir thoroughly 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar, a bit at a time to make thick paste of uniform consistency. If needed, you can add in more sugar. After mixing it well, you can transfer the scrub into a suitable storage container. It can be safely kept in fridge for about one week.Apply a little bit of the scrub to your lips, and scrub it in circular motion. To effectively exfoliate your lips, use a small toothbrush. Rinse your lips with warm water, and apply a LIP balm( BAKSON) on your choice.

Hair loss, also known as alopecia or baldness, refers to a loss of hair from the head or body. Baldness can refer to general hair loss or male pattern hair loss. Hair loss and hypotrichosis have many causes including androgenetic alopecia, fungal infection, trauma (e. G. Due to (trichotillomania), radiotherapy, chemotherapy, nutritional deficiencies (e. G. iron deficiency), and autoimmune diseases (e. G. alopecia areata. Hair loss severity occurs across a spectrum with extreme examples including alopecia totalis (total loss of hair on the head) and alopecia universalis (total loss of all hair on the head and body). The most common cause of alopecia is *Androgenetic alopecia (male-pattern or female-pattern hair loss) *Androgenetic alopecia is an androgen-dependent hereditary disorder in which dihydrotestosterone plays a major role. This form of alopecia may eventually affect up to 80% of white men by the age of 70 (male-pattern hair loss) and about half of all women (female-pattern hair loss). Other common causes of hair loss are *Drugs (including chemotherapeutic agents) *Infection (eg, tinea capitis, kerion, cellulitis of the scalp) *Systemic disorders (disorders that cause high fever, SLE, endocrine disorders, and nutritional deficiencies) *Alopecia areata Less common causes are primary hair shaft abnormalities, autoimmune diseases, heavy metal poisoning, and rare dermatologic conditions. Dear, shampoos and oils do not make much change because, they hardly penetrate layers of skin, where roots (live part of hair) are present. Instead concentrate on food, if all other factors are fine. -protein rich diet, dry fruits-almonds, dates.

Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Hello sir, My hair is falling. I have also dandruff problem. What should I do to stop my hairfall?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Faridabad
Hair loss, thinning hair or baldness is termed as Alopecia. Alopecia areata means "hair loss in areas". Causes:: Genetic factors, family history, overall aging process, normal life variations including temporary severe stress, illness, nutritional changes, hormonal changes like those in pregnancy, puberty, and menopause may cause a reversible hair loss. 1. Chop some onions (pyaz) into fine pieces and squeeze out the juice. Apply this to hair and scalp and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse it with shampoo. 2. Crush a few cloves of garlic (lehsun), add in a little coconut oil and boil for a few minutes. Cool it till it becomes warm and apply it on the scalp with a little massaging action. Repeat two to three times a week for best results. 3. Take coconut milk and add a little water to it. Apply this to the scalp and allow it to stay overnight. Rinse this the next morning. 4. Add two teaspoons of amla juice/ powder and mix with equal quantity of freshly squeezed lime juice. Mix well, apply to the scalp and leave it to dry; then rinse using warm water. 5. Take some flowers of rose (gulab) add some water to it and make a paste. Apply it on hair and keep it for an hour and then wash the hair.

I have lot of dandruff in hair, and also hairfall 1 day l lost 50 -100 hairs how to control?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Dandruff may be the result of a dry scalp, or a skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis. It could also be caused by eczema, psoriasis, or, very commonly, an overgrowth of a yeast like fungus called malassezia. Drugstore remedies might include shampoos with zinc pyrithione, which targets fungus and bacteria; ketoconazole, which also fights fungus; coal tar and selenium sulphide, which slow the growth and die-off of skin cells on your scalp; and salicylic acid. 1) Aspirin contains the same active ingredient (salicylic acid) as many medicated dandruff shampoos. Keep flaking in check by crushing two aspirins to a fine powder and adding it to the normal amount of shampoo you use each time you wash your hair. Leave the mixture on your hair for 1-2 minutes, then rinse well and wash again with plain shampoo. 2) Wet your hair and then rub a handful of baking soda vigorously into your scalp. Skip the shampoo and go right to rinsing. Baking soda reduces overactive fungi that can cause dandruff. Your hair may get dried out at first, but after a few weeks your scalp will start producing natural oils, leaving your hair softer and free of flakes so they can be washed away. For natural treatments .Before showering, massage 3-5 tablespoons of coconut oil into your scalp and let sit for about an hour. Do not use Shampoo. The best option is to use pure coconut oil In general, you lose about 50-100 strands of hair each day, but the loss is not visible as new hair grow in their place. However, if you lose more than a 100 strands in a day and more than 200 strands on the day you shampoo, you may be suffering from what is known as excessive hair fall. Certain factors or reasons may cause you to lose hair at an alarming rate, which are, 1. Thyroid problems Your thyroid is responsible for your body’s overall functioning. The hormones (primarily T4 and T3), which it produces help in regulating metabolic activities. Problems with your thyroid gland can cause your hormone levels to rise or fall to unhealthy levels, which can result in hair fall. You can improve the functioning of your thyroid gland through a diet rich in calcium, iodine, magnesium, protein and Vitamins A, B and C. 2. Scalp infections-Infections of the scalp can also be one of the factors that may cause your hair to fall at an alarming rate. Of the different scalp infections, the ringworm scalp infection is the most common. Although this fungal infection can occur in any part of your body, when it develops on your scalp, you end up losing clumps of hair. Alongside the use of anti-fungal medications, even anti-fungal shampoos and creams can provide you with respite from the problem.
