My TSH level is<0.01 and the T3 and T4 levels are in range. What should I do to increase my TSH level so that it comes in range?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr Ramesh, TSH is just below normal, this is because of throxine being taken. The dose appears to be fine if T3 and T4 are also normal. There is no need to do any thing. Continue the same treatment.

Mr. Lybrate-user, usually 7 mg uric acid as such may not be problematic. Because there are large number of people with increased level. However, every one does not get gout or joint pains. So if there are no complaints then really no reason to worry. Even taking treatment is only needed on having joint related issues. I am sure you have been already informed about which foods to avoid like- certain sea foods sardines, salmon, herring, haddock, scallops, trout, anchovies, mushrooms, mussels etc, organ meat, red meat, alcohol, sweetened aerated drinks & high fat containing products. Should consume green leafy vegetables, milj products, fruits & whole grain products. Constipation can be relieved by vegetables, fruits and fiber containing foods.

What are the symptoms of diabetes. My weight is 65 kg and my father is a diabetes patient. Is this disease genetic?
Type 1 Diabetes is genetic and passed through genes. This usually appears in children or teens. .. Type 2 Diabetes is not genetic and it is acquired due to excessive/rich food. It is a lifestyle disease. It is a modern day disease and it can be prevented by proper diet and exercise.

Lybrate-user, if hypothyroidism is well controlled then there is no problem with becoming pregnant. For priper control tsh should be between 3 to 4 milli units / l. For pregnancy to occur and have a healthy baby throughout pregnancy tsh should be around 2 milli units / l.

Thank you for the query. Prior to starting your medication (stamlo 2.5 mg) your bp was 150/90 mm of hg. The present control of bp is probably due to your medication. If you stop it there may be a sudden shoot up. It is important to reduce your oral salt intake. Please consult your physician before taking any decision to stop the drug. Even if the medicine is stopped, your bp must be monitored to look for any rise. Regards.

Aur gulkand, honey.
Agar kisi ko diabetes hai, to din me 100 g tak hi fal khana accha hai, vo bhi jab blood sugar normal pe aayi ho to. Jinko diabetes nahi hai, unko jyada fal khanes ya gulkand or honey lenese bimari nahi hoti. Lekin diabetes may ye sab lena bilkul achhc nahi hai.

Get your heart checked up for coronary ischemia, by angiography. Very early angina pain gets projected there. If it is normal, then treatment of neuralgia is justifiable.
