I have got pain in my shoulder for which I could not throw anything. What should I do?
Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Inform after 5 days.

I am a 34 years old female. Since last 2 days I am having pain in my right knee. Just below the knee cap. Inwards.can not fold legs n sit fr more time .if I stand I feel relaxed. But I can not give pressure on right leg n stand. Please advice

Hello, you can take: 1. Tablet crocin (paracetamol 650 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) 2. Adequate sleep 6-8 hr in a day 3. Get check eyes for refractive error 4. We need to go for ent evaluation to rule out sinusitis 5. Get your bp checked 6. Regular physical exercise and meditation and yoga complete history of your headache for further management like duration, severity, aggravating factors/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis. for knee pain you can do hot fomentation twice a day for 10 minute for 2-3 days

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hot fomentation x twice daily. Neck exercises. Neck stretching. Postural correction. Shoulder shrugs. Core strengthening exercises. Take frequent breaks at work use cervical pillow. Use back support. Self massage the back of neck.

A checkup must of vit d and calcium levels sit straight. Maintain your posture. Avoid long sitting. Avoid toward bending. Heat fermentation and do stretching exercise.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to have a persistent back pain as a health issue. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. I am 33 year old. I normally go for jog in morning for about 5 km and I have successfully reduce my weight to 22 kg last month one day when I was running for 100 m. Fast race I have pain in my shin I am feeling this pain when ever I am walking even.

Hi * stop running completely or decrease your training. *Apply ice to reduce inflammation. *Gently stretch your Achilles and your calves. *Consider cross-training for a while Swim, run in the pool or ride a bike. *When you return to running, increase your mileage slowly, no more than 10 percent weekly. *Make sure you wear the correct running shoes Do reply for detailed treatment plan. I am 32 years male it was diagnosed in 2013 i have numerous interal neuroforimas. Whenever some one touches or if there some kind of physical pressure it gives me intense pain which in turn gets me very angry.

It is a congenital disorder. Superfical ones should be removed. You should have it done in delhi any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

I am doing desk job for 10 years. I got my x-ray done, found mild bone spur on vertebra 5&6. I opted for homeopathy for neck sprain relief, and it helped, now I am soon going to conceive in next month. I don't understand how will I leave homeopathy for sprain relief after conceiving. Dear lybrate-user, namaskar, you seem to have early cervical spondylosis, which respond very well to physiotherapy and later on exercises. You should get swd and ict 7 to 10 sittings at a physio. Centre followed by neck exercises. You will settle and won't need even homeopathic medicines. Take care.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Pain in right shoulder, when I have to lift my hand up. The Orthopaed checked the x ray and diagnosed it as Acute calcification, and prescribed me ENZOMAC tablets. After having these tablets there has been some improvement and reduction in pain. However, I am not quite satisfied and feel less strength in my right hand. Please advise.

Hello this is Dr.Vyas yr diagnosis is correct you have to have patience coz shoulder is very complex joint and it take time to recover u have to go a physiotherapy center use ultra sound and crayo therapy(ice) and do some thera band exercises for increase yr streneth again.
