Hi lybrate-useryou need to take your husband to a physiotherapist and ask him to teach him the following exercises which will strengthen the knee joint muscles and neutralise the load on the knee. 1. Hamstrings and quadriceps exercises. 2. Vastus medius obliqus exercises. 3. Knee rom exercises. 4. Ankle pumps. Do these exercises on a regular basis and add on weights to the ankle later and do again the exercises. Let me know how he feels then. Regards

Hi, Do you have any history of injury? Or have you suffered from any medical condition recently? It could be because of general weakness or may be some other cause is responsible for pain in legs, will have to rule out the possibilities, need more symptoms. Medication: Meantime, start with homoeopathic medicines - Rhus Tox. 30 and Arnica 30 - both thrice daily for 1 week. Revert me back with more symptoms.

Take medicine of thyroid to maintain a check of suger level. Tk calcium supplements and do stretching exercise of both limbs like yoga avoid strain full activity and gentle movement of all joint.

Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Joints pain are symbol of starting of gout which basic cause is uric acid deposition in the joints gap. It is advisable to take less protein diet have less meat, chicken, palak, paneer, tomatoes. And get your uric acid check. You must also do little excersise and take homoeopathic medicine. Rhus tox 200 twice a day for 7 days n then report me.

You are having repetitive stress injury syndrome (rsd) which is bad working posture related. Look up for term called ergonomics and there is lot of info on changing of sitting and working pattern.

I go to walk on every evening for 30 minute. Do I need to walk more considering I am 83 kg as per my height is 5 ft 10 inch. And after I hv some kind of pain in in my foot area and lower part of leg that after reaching home I can't stand still for few hours. Is there any concern?

Dear Lybrateuser, your chest pain could be due to acidity, anxiety - follow some precautions, avoid spicy, fried & junk food, also not more than 1-2 cups of tea, coffee in a day, chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time - take syrup Gelusil 2 teaspoonful half an hour after meals three times a day - take a tablet of Paracetamol 500 mg if pain is more - do regular exercise like walking, jogging for 20-30 min, also do yoga, deep breathing & meditation for 10-15 min daily in the morning to keep your mind & body fit if not much relief then do x- ray chest, ECG & consult a doctor.

Hello, you may be having headache because of stress/ refractory problems/ any ENT problem kindly follow advises given below: you can take: 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) 2. Adequate sleep 6-8 hr in a day 3. Get check eyes for refractive error 4. We need to go for ENT evaluation to rule out sinusitis 5. Get BP checked 6. Regular physical exercise and meditation and yoga complete history of your headache for further management like duration, severity, aggravating factors/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis consult physician for further management.
