How to improve immune system and what are the symptoms of malaria and what will be good diet for a person suffering from typhoid?

BHMS

How to improve immune system and what are the symptoms of malaria and what will be good diet for a person suffering f...
Hello, We all get exposed to the same environment, but all of us doesn't get affected by it! Why - because of different immune system. So, if a person has a strong immune system, we are protected from the attack of any virus or bacteria! A healthy, nutritious and balanced diet along with exercise will give you that. A healthy and strong immune system prevents us getting any diseases even a simple cough and cold. So, to build up a strong immunity, you need to alter few changes in your daily routine. If you don't have any underlying medical condition, you can follow the below points for healthy living. The diet plays an important role in making our immune system stronger: 1. Get enough protein. You can get protein from meat, dairy, eggs and vegetables. 2. Avoid saturated fats, but eat plenty of unsaturated fats. These" good fats" are found in corn, sesame, safflower, soybean, and cottonseed oils. 3. Eat limited amounts of carbohydrates. Consuming appropriate amounts of wheat, corn, and cereals helps to create the energy required for the body to produce white blood cells. 4. There are a number of particular foods that can help to boost-up your immunity. These include: Garlic, Almonds, Kale, Navy beans, Reishi mushrooms, Blueberries and raspberries, Yogurt, Green, Matcha, and Tulsi teas. 4. Eat antioxidants. Antioxidants are vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that help repair damaged cells in the body. Examples of antioxidants are Beta Carotene (apricots, broccoli, beets, spinach, green peppers, tomatoes, corn, and carrots), Vitamins C (berries, broccoli, nectarines, oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cauliflower) and E (broccoli, carrots, nuts, papaya, spinach, and sunflower seeds), Zinc (oysters, red meat, beans, nuts, and seafood), and Selenium. 5. Vitamin A is also an antioxidant, and helps your immune system to function more efficiently. In addition to supplements, you can get vitamin A from carrots, tomatoes, chilis, and squash. 6. Echinacea, ginseng, aloe vera, and green tea are all said to boost your white blood cell count. 7. Exercise regularly. Getting enough exercise improves your cardiovascular health, and greatly reduces the likelihood of certain chronic diseases. Exercise increases the flow of blood through different parts of the body, and it increases the body's excretion of harmful metabolites, helping your immune system function properly. So run, bike, swim, walk -- whatever gets you moving! 8. Stop smoking and Limit alcohol consumption. 9. You should drink 8 glasses of water every day. 10. Sufficient deep sleep also helps the cells replenish and regenerate and is therefore necessary if you want to maintain a healthy immune system. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alpha-WD/ twice daily for 1month. Symptoms of malaria; Malaria is an acute febrile illness. In a non-immune individual, symptoms appear 7 days or more (usually 10–15 days) after the infective mosquito bite. The first symptoms – fever, headache, chills and vomiting – may be mild and difficult to recognize as malaria. If not treated within 24 hours, P. Falciparum malaria can progress to severe illness, often leading to death. Diet for typhoid: Typhoid results in gastrointestinal conditions and so it is important to follow a diet that contains foods that are easy to digest. Slightly overcooked rice along with yogurt should be included in a diet for typhoid patients as rice contains a small amount of fiber that helps to regulate the digestive system while yogurt contains healthy cultures that reduce the severity of stomach flu. Avoid milk as it is tougher to digest and is likely to aggravate diarrhea. Juices and carbohydrate rich items such as steamed fruits are very important. Homemade vegetable soups with no additional spices. Buttermilk and softened soda crackers are good options while bland rice pudding, porridge, and custard are also good typhoid foods. Foods to be avoided: Avoid high fiber foods like whole grains and raw vegetables as these can place additional stress on your digestive system. When you have typhoid, foods to avoid also include vegetables like cabbage, capsicum and turnip as these can cause bloating and gas. Avoid all spices as far as possibly, especially hot seasonings such as pepper, Cayenne and chili powder. Include yogurt and eggs as they are easier to digest. Vegetarians can start to include lentils, legumes and even cottage cheese, in their diet.

Problems in low back affecting the low back nerves. 5. Low testosterone levels. In this regard I would like to advise you to get the following tests done and revert back with reports. Hi, all your issues/ symptoms are because of you not getting sleep early. You may try out the following - (a) have dinner early, max by 8: 30 pm in night (b) streamline your diet & lifestyle. Make sure you have a light yet healthy dinner at night. High calorie foods are best avoided especially at night when the energy requirements are minimal. (c) avoid fatty, oily and greasy foods. (d) try not to study/ work late at night. Plan your day realistically, well and stick to your schedule. For things that you could not accomplish on any particular day, you may as well plan/ prioritize it for the next day as appropriate. Its always in your best interest/ health to get up early and study/ revise/ work with a fresh mind. (e) avoid studying/ watching tv/ movies et al in the night time as it would make your brain alert and you will have difficulty falling asleep. (f) in relation to point (e) above, you may watch some light weight entertainment serials/ music/ bhajans/ spiritual discourses in the evening time that shall help relax & de-stress. Studying some light interesting stories/ books at bedtime also helps lull and fall asleep. (g) do exercise/ walking, yoga/ meditation daily for about 30 to 45 minutes as suitable. You can try out shavasana especially when you go to bed, for 10 minutes. This shall help you relax, control your thought patterns and help fall asleep. (h) immerse your feet in warm water, with a cold towel wrapped around your head, for about 10 - 15 minutes before you go to bed. (i) avoid taking vitamin pills in the night. Instead, take them in day time. (j) a glass of warm milk with a pinch of turmeric at bed time helps too. Hope the above-mentioned helps. Should you still have issues falling asleep, I would advise you to see a sleep disorder therapist/ somnologist who shall assist you suitably here. All the very best and take care.

How many times in a day we can have sex? Normally in a day we intercourse 2/3 times.

How many times in a day we can have sex? Normally in a day we intercourse 2/3 times.
Dear Lybrate user. Sex is always enjoyed if it is done with love, passion and affection. The love making time is important. It should be within 30 minutes. The more you try to extent it, the more you and your partner will be stressed and therefore the pleasure associated with orgasm will be simultaneously reduced. Therefore, limit the sexual performance to less than 30 minutes. Sex is energy consuming and your body needs proper rest and nutrition replenishment after every sex. Also keep in mind that you should provide 24 hours gap between two sexual intercourses. Sexual intercourse is not advised in the cases of stress, anxiety, physical fatigue, cough, cold etc. Take care.

DIET IN DEPRESSION

Neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and endorphin are responsible for regulating moods and behavior. The body is able to produce these neurotransmitters because of certain nutrients like protein, fatty acids and carbohydrates. Since these nutrients come from the food we consume, it is important to pay attention to your diet. Eating the right foods can help to prevent nutritional deficiencies and hormonal imbalances. This, in turn, helps to prevent or reduce mood changes and emotional disturbances, where dietary deficiencies may have been contributing factors. Here are some tips on what to eat to prevent depression:

The importance of eating a healthy breakfast cannot be stressed enough. It helps to maintain your blood sugar levels and thus keeps your moods stable.Oats make a good breakfast food because they help to combat stress and also keep your cholesterol levels in check.

Don’t drastically reduce fat from your diet. Some amount of fat is necessary for proper functioning. Try to ensure an intake of healthy fats such as omega-3 fatty acids which are found in foods such as nuts, fatty fish and seeds.

Add plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet as these will supply your body with a variety of essential vitamins and minerals.
Foods such as lean turkey, chicken and milk are high in tryptophan, an amino acid that stimulates the release of serotonin. Serotonin enhances mood.

Restrict your intake of caffeinated beverages and alcohol. Some studies have indicated a link between excessive coffee consumption and depression. Alcohol affects mood and can also interfere with sleep.

Avoid following restrictive or crash diets that eliminate an entire food group. These can considerably affect your normal body rhythm and may lead to hormonal imbalances.
