Hello, Body pain may be due to 1. fever 2. abrupt start or stop of exercise 3. Any other medical disease like Anaemia/ Hypoproteinemia/ Thyroid problem 4. Vit D deficiency 5. Multimineral and vitamin Deficiency 6.Stress/ anxiety 7. Over exertion (physical and mental) kindly follow advises given below: 1. Take adequate rest 2. Proper diet 3. Measure your temperature and tell me reading 4. Bathing may also reduce body pain 5. Avoid stress Kindly consult Physician for further management

No without knowing the calcium values in your body you should not take Calcium tablets. When leg pain occurs after strenuous physical activity, you can simply apply cold compresses. This will help reduce the pain by numbing the affected area and control swelling and inflammation. Wrap a few ice cubes (or a bag of frozen peas) in a thin towel. Apply this pack on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes, while keeping the leg(s) elevated. Do this a few times a day. Note: Do not apply ice directly on the skin, as it may cause frostbite.

My mother age is around 64 she is suffering from back pain from last one month when we concern with local orthopedic he test & found lack of calcium in body so what sir you suggest.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to have a persistent back pain as a health issue. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. I am suffering for hirayama disease also known as monomelic MND from last 2 year I have visited so many hospital but all have refuses they said that there is no treatment for hirayama disease can you suggest me the treatment for hirayama diseases.

First you need to increase the range of motion if your joint is stiff and then start doing exercises to build strength take a gel ball and do squeezing.

Hi it is due to muscle weakness. Your muscles are not able to hold joint at right position. Learn strengthening exercise by physiotherapist. Best wishes.

Hello lybrate user, from the symptoms you are describing, the most probable diagnosis would be an infection. Tuberculosis is the most common infection in our country. Weight loss, fever along with it would support the diagnosis of an infection. I would suggest you to consult an orthopaedic surgeon as urgently as possible. It could probably be treated be medicines alone in the early stages. Later stages of destruction require might require surgery. There is no reason for panic but consult an orthopedic surgeon urgently and get x rays done and an mri of necessary.

Hi = Relax and stay positive. = Increase fluid intake. = Eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = Do streching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = If you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = Do check your calcium and vit. d = Apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief consult physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

It's very common to have this kind of pain with prolonged working hours on computer. Vitamins and calcium deficiency is very common in your age and can lead to muscle fatigue and bone pain. Get your vitamin B12 and D3 and calcium levels tested. Supplements for these should help. Further Physiotherapy is good for relaxing the muscles.
