Why bleed vagina after sex. She is not suffering from period, period was just 10 15 days before then why bleeding. During sex there is no pain no scratches and no pricking but during sex some time she feels like she has no energy for few seconds. So what is the reason bleeding vagina.

MS sexuality, M.Phil Clinical Psychology, PhD (behaviour modification), Certified in Treatment of Resistant Depression

There must be an internal injury or some polyp present inside her vagina which is getting ruptured during intercourse and hence she may be bleeding however I advice you to check with a gynecologist and get arena. Vaginal scan done. Best of luck.

You are having retracted nipple. Massage it daily with coconut oil or moisturising cream. If still it does not come out, it will lead to difficulty in breast feeding. Consult a general surgeon if you are not able to tackle the problem yourself.

Infertility - 5 Ayurvedic Remedies for it!

Infertility - 5 Ayurvedic Remedies for it!

Not everyone can conceive a baby easily. The inability to conceive a baby despite having intercourse during the fertile window in a woman’s menstrual cycle for over a year is termed as infertility. Infertility does not affect only the physical health of a woman, but also her mental and emotional well-being as well as the couple’s social health.

In some cases, infertility can be treated with Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, a couple needs to be both physically and mentally strong and healthy. Ayurveda believes that a lack of nutrition in the shukra dhatu or the person’s reproductive tissue is the cause of infertility. This can be triggered by indigestion, anxiety, depression, insomnia and the presence of toxins in the body. Some of the ways Ayurveda can be used to treat infertility are as follows:

  1. Eat cool foods: Spicy food can affect the quality of shukra dhatu and lower the quality and quantity of both sperm and ovum. This is because shukra dhatu requires a cool environment to promote fertility. Hence, eat food that is easy to digest and which has a cooling effect on the body. Men can benefit from foods like asparagus, dates and almonds, while foods like quinoa and pineapples can help a woman conceive easily.
  2. Shirodhara therapy: Shirodhara involves the movement of liquid over the forehead in a rhythmic manner at specific points. This stimulates the hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal glands and aids in the secretion of hormones including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). When it comes to women, FSH stimulates the ovarian follicles into releasing an egg without which it would be impossible to conceive a child.
  3. Fight stress: One of the effects of stress is reduced libido. Prolonged exposure to stress is often a major factor that contributes to infertility. When it comes to women, stress makes a woman ovulate less regularly. In men, stress can affect the sperm production and affect testosterone levels. To fight stress, try deep breathing exercises like alom vilom or keep a little time aside each morning for a walk or light exercise.
  4. Lodhra: This herb is very beneficial in treating women with infertility. It stimulates FSH and luteinising hormones (LH) and lowers the risk of a miscarriage. It also increases chances of conception. Lodhra should be taken twice a day along with honey and milk.
  5. Lifestyle changes: Ayurveda is not only about herbal medicines but also following the right lifestyle. Bad habits like smoking, drug usage and alcohol not only affect a person’s overall health but also interfere with fertility. Hence, when trying to conceive a child, quit these bad habits and try following a healthier lifestyle that involves following a routine, eating right and exercising regularly. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

Hello lybrate-user. Low dose aspirin is useful in those with history of pregnancy loss at or more than 13 weeks. HCG that is human chorionic gonadotropin gives support to corpus luteum, which produces progesterone. Hormone progesterone is very much essential for the continuation of pregnancy. Low molecular weight heparin helps to improve live birth rate in high risk pregnancies like that of antiphospholipid antibody syndrome and recurrent pregnancy loss. Folic acid is useful to prevent neural tube defects in foetus. Your treating doctor is providing you good treatment so don't worry at all and enjoy each and every movement of your pregnancy. All the best! Take care!

MBBS, PG Diploma in HIV Medicine
General Physician,
Commercial sex work is the most prevalent mode of hiv transmission in india. We can't decide your hiv infected status unless we knew the hiv status of your partner. Hiv is present in almost all secretions of the body. But blood, semen, vaginal secretions, pleural and peritoneal fluids are more associated with the transmission because of the high viral load. Test for 4th generation elisa after 4 days of intercourse. If the test is uncertain then you need to go for hiv viral load which is costly. Even the test is negative you need to be tested for hiv antibodies at 28th day and 3rd, 6th and 12 months for final confirmation. Contact if need further assistance.

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, FMAS, DMAS

Can a girl be pregnant who had spotty period last month and this month heavy flow,
Hello, the menses can be governed by stress levels as well so you may not be pregnant as you had your menses both times and the flow is not indicative of a miscarriage this month. If suspected then you may get a urine pregnancy test done to rule out the same.
