Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. You shall also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes.

Synvisc is not a steroid. It's natural sugar for lubrication. Also sometimes other steroidal injections are given. Best is knee replacement. But the hba1c is on the higher side, please keep her sugar in control. Also send me other reports in private chat and I will send a prescription of excellent medicines that will help her immediately. Steroids can't be given in your wife's case because they will increase the sugar levels. So medicine has to be given very carefully. Please consult me for further treatment.

Plantar fascitis generally is self limiting but you should follow exercises and lifestyle modifications for relief. 1. Reduce body weight as obesity will aggravate the stress on heel. 2. Avoid exercises like running / walking on hard surfaces. Stop such activities when you start developing pain. 3. Roll your feet on bottle of cold water for 20 mins 4 times a day or can apply ice pack. 4. Use shoes with silicone sole inserts. 5. Do calf muscle and heel stretches daily. 6. Avoid prolonged standing or sitting. 7. Use night splint to keep foot flexed at night. Stop using it once pain is relieved. 8. Use analgesics like Ibuprofen for decreasing pain and inflammation. 9. For severe pain injections in plantar fascia are required. With proper lifestyle changes as above 90 % patients have relief and functionality. Only 10% patients would require surgical intervention like plantar fascia release or gastrocnemius recession. For further queries consult.

I got my wrist fractured accidentally, on the 1st of march, and got it plastered on the 3rd of march. My doctor asked me to get a xray of my wrist on the completion 1month, I got the xray done and it says precisely" fracture is seen in the fifth metacarpal, and body alignment is satisfactory" my question is what do I make out of this, and till when do I have to bare this plaster. The xray visually looks good, bare there is a visible line.

Plaster is usually given for a minimum of 6 weeks, if new bone formation is seen, plaster is then removed otherwise extended for further 2 weeks. Keep taking calcium supplements in the meantime.
