Please tell me duration of pain and what was the initiating factor for it? what medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. I would like to know whether you have got your inflammatory profile done till now and whether calcium and vitamin d testing/supplementation has been done. Dear lybrate user make proper posture while sitting. Walking is best exercise. It may occur due to excessive stress and strain on back this stress leads to straining of back muscles and ligaments if possible, do back stretching exercise take homeopathic medicine rhus tox 6c thrice a day for 5 days revert back thanks.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Due to strain in day you r in mobile position and night is rest time so do heat fermentation twice a day and apply pain relief ointment do stretching exercise if it work then ok other wise tk physiotherapy treatment for few days.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. I have shoulders pain on playing cricket so what can I do?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of shoulder pain, so it could be a tendinitis, bursitis, soft tissue injuries, ac joint issues, so there could be many reasons. But if your pain is not severe, with no s/s of either instability or inflammation/ infection like swelling, skin redness, local warmth etc, then it is advisable to start with: - ice therapy for local application 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray like dynapar qps spray for local application - intensive physical therapy to be initiated as per physiotherapist - gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine, tab paracetamol etc which suits you let me know in 10-14 days time how you are feeling, also it will be good if you can send me pictures taken from your mobile or camera pointing to the exact site of pain. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I have a leg pain more than a month when I am simply sitting but when walking there is no pain.
: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Hello sir, My uncle has met with brain stroke 3 years back. As of now he is gud but his left hand is just like we keep the hand when fractured and his fingers are closed just we close our fingers. Nerves are clumsy and are not free to move. His ring finger makes all fingers to be close. His fist is always closed due to tight fix of nerves. Is there any injection to free up nerves so that he can easily open and close his hands.

Dear, although I am not a neurologist, I would like to still answer your question. Your uncle has suffered from brain stroke, which means part of the brain tissue controlling movements of his right side of the body is affected/damaged. This happens when blood supply to that area is blocked for some reason, say blockade in artery supplying that part. Subsequent recovery depends upon restoration of that blood flow, and how quickly its restored. After initial stage recovery in such cases takes a long time. Continued treatment with physiotherapy is required to bring back some functions. But some residual weakness may remain. Best of luck.

Only avoid strain like long standing and running. Do hot and cold fermentation for 20 minute. And do rest. Put a towel under knee and press for 10 second then release repeat 10 time if it work then ok otherwise physiotherapy treatment must.

Take chandraprabha vati 1-1 tab twice a day. Take maharasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Avoid tea. Coffee. Junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Walk for atleast 30 minutes a day. Avoid alcohol consumption. Smoking and non vegetarian. Drink lots of juices and plenty of water. Eat green vegetables and salads. Do pranayama early in the morning. Sleep for atleast 7 hours.
