Hair Transplant - The Many Benefits!

Hair Transplant - The Many Benefits!

Hair loss does not affect a person’s physical health but it can be detrimental to their mental health. Thankfully, this condition can be treated. Hair transplant refers to a procedure by which hair follicles from a donor area are transplanted to a bald site. In most cases, the donor area refers to the back of the head. This can be used to treat significant thinning of the hair, baldness and hair loss for both men and women. Some of the advantages of a hair transplant procedure are:

Hair Transplant is Natural
As compared to hair implants, a transplant procedure is completely natural and uses hair follicles from the patient’s own head. Once the hair follicles have been transferred, they begin to grow naturally. No chemicals that may damage your hair are used in this process. Thus, it is much safer and your body will not reject the transplanted hair follicles.

Low Maintenance
Once the transplanted hair follicles root themselves in your scalp, they will grow like the rest of your hair. This is easily manageable and no special shampoos or chemicals are required to maintain its look. You can also have a haircut and style your hair normally.

Natural Look
Since the hair follicles used for the transplant are taken from the patient’s own body, the transplanted hair look and feel natural. Unlike hairpieces and wigs, this does not look artificial. In fact, by the time your hair begins to grow, the transplanted area will look like the rest of your head and people will not be able to tell the difference.

Better Self-Esteem
Balding can cause a lot of self-esteem issues. A hair transplant is a one-time procedure that can cover bald patches and give you a more youthful appearance. Along with making you look good; this also improves your sense of self-worth and gives a person more confidence. Thus, it improves the overall mental and emotional health of a person.

Cost Effective
A hair transplant procedure is a one time cost. With this procedure, there is no need to visit a doctor over and over again. It also negates the need for special chemicals and shampoos. You can style your hair as you would normally thus keeping you from needing to buy wigs etc. Also, the effects of a hair transplant surgery are permanent. Though the cost of the procedure may seem high at the time, in the long run, it is cost effective and budget friendly.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

I have skin problem, I have lot of scratches and pimples on my face please suggest me some treatment?
Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days.
