Ayurvedic Treatment For Hyperacidity!

Ayurvedic Treatment For Hyperacidity!

Acidity gives you tremendous discomfort. The stomach condition wherein acid levels of the gastric juices are much more than normal is known as hyperacidity. It causes uneasiness alongside symptoms like loss of appetite, heartburn, unexpected stomach pain, etc. According to Ayurveda, the main cause of this condition is the worsening of the Pitta Dosha (the fire element) in your body.

The reasons that worsen this dosha are:

- Having foods that don't match your constitution or which aren't supposed to be had like milk and salt or milk and fish
- Extremely spicy and sour beverages and foods
- White flour products
- Products made from white sugar
- Smoking
- Excessive intake of coffee and tea
- Alcohol
- Having food even though you may be suffering from indigestion
- Controlling the urge to urinate or pass stool
- Prolonged exposure to heat and the sun

What happens to your digestive power?

The exacerbated Pitta worsens your digestive fire, causing your food to be not properly digested as well as influence the production of ama (toxins). When ama builds up in your various digestive channels, it brings about the problem of hyperacidity. The treatment focuses on calming down the irritated Pitta Dosha. For this, certain herbs are used to get rid of the toxins that block these channels. This automatically improves your digestive fire, bringing about better digestion.

What changes you're required to make?

To keep this problem at bay, there are certain lifestyle changes that you may have to make such as

- To curb the consumption of acidic foods like garlic, onions, ginger, vinegar, and tomatoes
- Avoid having curd/yogurt at night
- Practice yoga and Pranayam like Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, Shitkari Pranayam and so on
- Avoid fermented as well as processed foods
- Avoid coffee, tea, alcoholic or carbonated beverages. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.

Please suggest treatment for chronic dyspepsia and reflux symptoms, currently I am taking lemon water mixed with honey twice a day and keeping gaps between two meals of at least 3 hours and not taking any medicines, currently the dyspepsia is under control but in the past 10 days sometimes it increased but it got relieved after taking prolonged rest, sitting for about half hour (on computer) after meals instead of immediately lying down, and consumption of light foods like fruits and Britannia husk. The problem with dyspepsia is that fear of eating sufficiently leading to loss of weight.

It can be due to Acidic Dyspepsia. Homoeopathic treatment GASTROBIN ( Wilmar Schwabe India) Drink slowly 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily. NATRUM SULPH 6X ( Dr.Reckeweg) Chew 2 tabs twice daily NUX VOMICA 30 ( Dr.Reckeweg) Drink 5 drops in 1 spoon fresh water at night bed time DIGECOM SYRUP ( WELLMAN LAB) Drink 2 spoons 10 minute after meals 3 times a day Do nd dontss 1.Avoid fast, spicy nd fried food 2.Avoid tea, coffe nd cold drinks 3.Try to take nutritious easy digestible home diet 4.No any intake of water 30 minutes before nd after meals .This is possible only if the meals r non spicy nd if you r eating slowly. 5.Eat half chapati less than your appetite 6.My personal addition.........1 fast in a week is must ( Only 1 meals in the evening) in aweek if you r habitually ssuffering from acidity problem. It will pay you in future 7.Breafast nd dinner light nd Lunch can be heavy 8.10 minutes evening walk after Dinner is a must 9.Start a habit of eating 5 leaves each of HOLY BASIL ( TULSI PATTA) nd KARI PATTA ( CURRY LEAVES) early morning empty stomach.Start from 1 leaf each nd go upto 5 leavess..After eating drink 1 glasss plain water. This will increaseyour digestive powers naturally 10.Implement naturopathy in your life as medicines can help only for the time being . How to take Homoeopathic medicines 1.Homoeopathic mediciness are always to be taken empty stomach, means when there is nothing in your stomach. It doesnt meanss that these medicines r to be taken early morning. It means that homoeopathic medicines are to be taken minimum 15 minutess before or 15 minutes after eating or drinking anything except plain water.and maximum time no limit. 2.Therefore distance between two homoeopathic medicines will also be minimum 15 minutes nd maximum no limit. 3.All the homoeopathic medicines can be taken empty stomach ( Morning dose) if you so like. 4.Difference from all allopathic medicine should be minimum of 1hour before or after as homoeopathic medicines r very light but deep acting nd allopathic medicines in materialistic doses being strong, mimimise the effect of homoeopathic medicines if taken in a difference of less than one hour

I am 28 year old male, I have long stand multiple stones in pancreas what should I do.

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Kidney stones treatment depends on the types and size of stone, most kidney stones won't require invasive treatment. You may be able to pass a small stone by: drinking water. Drinking as much as 2 to 3 quarts (1.9 to 2.8 liters) a day may help flush out your urinary system. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, drink enough fluid mostly water to produce clear or nearly clear urine. Pain relievers. Passing a small stone can cause some discomfort. To relieve mild pain, according to your medical history I may prescribe pain relievers such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen or naproxen sodium. Medical therapy. I am a doctor and renal (kidney) dietitian who will aslo prescribe a customized diet plan and medications to help pass your kidney stone quickly and with less pain. Do reply back for private consultation for a detailed treatment plan including dietary therapy.

Along with this If you are suffering with any kind of mental anxiety or stress then it may be a case of IBS But certain things should be noted down that is their any mucus in stool or diarrhea alternate with constipation or not. We can easily differentiate IBS from any other disease condition. In IBS there is no blood in stool, cramps are less as compare to other diseases, but gastric complaints such as bloating, eructations are more. Don't worry your condition is easily curable with homeopathic medicines.
