Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

You should try for physiotherapy. If there is swelling at back of knee. There might be chances of cyst. You should give more details. So I can advise you for the same. You can consult by phone or text.

There is back pain but normally there is no pain whenever I get in the half bend position sometime pain is so high that I have to lay down for some time. Ya maximum 3 or 5 times in a year so what can be the cause why occur at that position only and how it can be cured.

Most of the injuries of back while lifting weight are related to inter-vertebral discs. And since the pain is from past 1 year you need to consult an orthopaedic physician and get an mri done. After that you have to start extensive physiotherapy which will include exercises to strengthen your back and modalities to reduce your back pain. Never underestimate your back pain and as soon as possible consult an orthopaedician and a physiotherapist. I hope I helped you. Thank you!

I have recently started long-distance running. From the past 15 days, I am feeling a mild pain in calf muscles of my left leg. This is a continuous pain. The left leg feels heavy and this is restricting me from further running. What should I do to get rid of this problem?

Treatment at first includes regular ice, Do it for 20-30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours for 2 to 3 days, or until the pain is gone, together with reduced mileage or rest. Addressing the causes is likely to include ensuring that shoes have adequate cushioning and stability, and building up training mileage slowly. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers. Do range-of-motion exercises. To strengthen the muscles of the lower leg, place a weighted ring on your foot. Point your foot up, in and out 10 times; perform three sets. The pain usually subsides as fitness improves. Go to physiotherapist to identify and treat issues in your legs or running mechanics that may be causing pain. A therapist can also help ease the pain and guide your return to sport. Best wishes.

Hello there, pain in knee can be due to numerous reasons and the precise one has to be found out. For this a physiotherapist can help you by a thorough assessment. And based on the diagnosis he can prescribe you right exercises to treat the structure causing pain. My clinical experience says, no medicines work 100% effectively for any joint related pain, because it just suppress the pain signals conveyed to the brain untill its in circulation, they do not treat the cause hence you get the pain back once the medicine is out of blood circulation. The better option is specific and right exercises, yes they will take time, but they will heal your cause of the problem, so better and long lasting relief from pain in a natural way. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Weight reduction can not be done over night. You have to take it as a way of life. Do diet control. No sugar in tea, coffee, milk etc. No sweets take small frequent feeds. When you get used to it, skip one meal. You should do non weight bearing yoga exercises.
