I have stress all time. What can I do for this? I don't suffer from this any more.

I have stress all time. What can I do for this? I don't suffer from this any more.
*When Your Stress Goes Flying Out the Window* Stress is so all-pervading in this material world that everyone is tortured by it. Stress takes many forms. We are stressed by health problems, financial problems, interpersonal problems and many more. The solution for all varieties of stress is to understand that its underlying cause is bodily consciousness, the false identification of the self with the body. As soon as one realizes that he is not his body and that his real happiness is based on harmonizing his consciousness with the supreme consciousness, and he then learns the art of doing this, his stress goes flying out the window to be replaced with profoundly sweet transcendental bliss. - courtesy of Sda.

I am losing hair quickly and have tried all shampoos but not effect yet I am not sure what else can I do can you help me with this.

I am losing hair quickly and have tried all shampoos but not effect yet I am not sure what else can I do can you help...
Hair loss happens due to various reasons and shampoos alone will never be able to stop your hair loss. There could be some nutritional deficiency or hereditary factor or some medical problem if it has persisted for mor than three months. I would like to advise you to have a balanced meal with enough proteins and have two cups of green tea daily. Also have walnuts, almonds and flaxseeds regularly. Start a multivitamin supplement and exercise atleast four times a week to improve blood circulation to the scalp. If your hair loss does not reduce in two months after doing this you may need further investigation. An early treatment is the key to successful results in hair loss cases as the damage to hair follicles can be prevented with the right treatment.

I have a desk job and the last 2 years, my weight has gone up 75 kgs to 85 kgs. I want to lose weight. Please help.
Plan your day in such a way that you get at least 1 hour in the morning or evening for walking about 4 kilometers. If it is possible to walk back to your residence from your working place, it does not need extra time. Use public transport to reach office if it is within 4 to 5 kilometers distance so that while returning you can walk back. You must be having some beverages in the office canteen along with your peer group. Avoid that and reduce calories without much effort. Your diet needs quantitative as well as qualitative change. Reduce the number of chapatees by at least 1 for lunch and dinner and also reduce rice content even if you are fond of it. Avoid high fried items like purees, and oil rich vegetables. Instead use boiled veg and a lot of salads. Use fruits between break in office hours.

Hello Doctor I always think about suicide attempt I don't want to live in this world can any one help me to overcome my problem.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Your situation is very serious and requires medical intervention very soon. You do not mention any reasons for the depression or suicide but it definitely is an anger-related depression. You are thinking about suicide too much and one day that can feed into an impulse. However, at some time the attempt can go so wrong that arresting or getting out of the attempt may not be possible and that could be the end. You need to immediately meet with a psychiatrist and get into medicines and also therapy. Please do not neglect the latter, as that is very essential in the combination for the successful recovery from this condition. The urgency is so much that you are a danger to yourself right now. Please keep in someone’s company continuously until adequate help and intervention is in place. Inform your parents and seek the medical intervention instantly. Life is indeed very precious, and you are young. There is so much to do in life and so many challenges to face that giving up is a huge waste of a gift opportunity given to you by God. Are you religious or spiritual? Faith in God is extremely important to appreciate life, to preserve it, and to nurture it, always. I know that you would love for someone to take charge of your life but I don’t know if you have someone to do so right now. Even so, take personal responsibility, be active about your recovery and cooperate with everything you are told to do, at least by the professionals. If you visit a hospital you will understand how precious life is and what people do to live longer. May be you have not yet had a positive experience to believe what I say but if you seek professional help you will be able to see so much that you are missing now. You must learn to accept yourself and to love yourself. the reasons will come along but you must become your best friend.

Suggest some cream or medicines for pimple marks on face. I have dandruff and oily-sensitive skin.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Suggest some cream or medicines for pimple marks on face. I have dandruff and oily-sensitive skin.
Take 1 cup of raw oats flour and 2 cups of warm water. Make a paste using this oat flour and water. Let it cool down. Now apply this to your scars and rub gently for about ten minutes. Mix yogurt and oatmeal powder to get a paste like consistency. Add few drops of lemon juice to this. Apply this pack to your scar affected skin. Let it dry out before washing with cold water. You can also simply rub some raw oats on your wet skin. Do this just for 1-2 minutes. This will remove the dead skin and also lighten the scars. Take half a cup of oatmeal, one cup water, 2 drops of lemon juice and 1 tsp of cinnamon powder. Bring the water to a boil and add oatmeal to this. Add lemon juice and stir till the thing becomes a thick paste. Let it cool down a little. Add cinnamon powder to this oatmeal paste. Apply this to your scar affected area. Leave for 20-30 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.

Sensitive Teeth

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Sensitive Teeth

Is the taste of ice cream or a sip of hot coffee sometimes a painful experience for you? Does brushing or flossing make you wince occasionally? If so, you may have sensitive teeth.

Possible causes include:

  • Tooth decay (cavities)

  • Fractured teeth

  • Worn fillings

  • Gum disease

  • Worn tooth enamel

  • Exposed tooth root

In healthy teeth, a layer of enamel protects the crowns of your teeth—the part above the gum line. Under the gum line a layer called cementum protects the tooth root. Underneath both the enamel and the cementum is dentin.

Dentin is less dense than enamel and cementum and contains microscopic tubules (small hollow tubes or canals). When dentin loses its protective covering of enamel or cementum these tubules allow heat and cold or acidic or sticky foods to reach the nerves and cells inside the tooth. Dentin may also be exposed when gums recede. The result can be hypersensitivity.

Sensitive teeth can be treated. The type of treatment will depend on what is causing the sensitivity. Your dentist may suggest one of a variety of treatments:

  • Desensitizing toothpaste. This contains compounds that help block transmission of sensation from the tooth surface to the nerve, and usually requires several applications before the sensitivity is reduced.

  • Fluoride gel. An in-office technique which strengthens tooth enamel and reduces the transmission of sensations.

  • A crown, inlay or bonding. These may be used to correct a flaw or decay that results in sensitivity.

  • Surgical gum graft. If gum tissue has been lost from the root, this will protect the root and reduce sensitivity.

  • Root canal. If sensitivity is severe and persistent and cannot be treated by other means, your dentist may recommend this treatment to eliminate the problem.

Proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing sensitive-tooth pain. Ask your dentist if you have any questions about your daily oral hygiene routine or concerns about tooth sensitivity.

Dark spots are primarily caused by acne, blemishes and black heads. The percentage of dark spots increases as the exposure to the sun increases too. Since the rate of melanin would be decreases, it leads in turn to the darkening of the skin. So, apply sunscreen (Homoeopathic SUNCARE cream of BAKSON Company) , every time you go out and follow the recipes below in order to get relief from dark spots. Instead of using the chemical products for your skin, try using some natural home remedies. Using home remedies can work out to be much cheaper than chemical based products and they can help treat your condition without any side effects. Caring for your skin is highly important. Here are some home remedies that allow your skin to be free of dark spots, black spots or pimple marks or even acne scars on the face. 1.Take a medium sized tomato and squeeze the juice from it, add one tablespoon of lemon juice to the tomato juice and stir the mixture well. Apply on the face and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse the face with warm water. 2.Take pulp from Aloe Vera leaves and let it dry in the sun for 5 minutes and then add few drops of lemon juice to the dried pulp. Apply this mixture on the face and wash it off after 15 minutes. The results are quite good.
