Hello Doctor, I am 25 years old male going through some mental situation which I don't able to understand. I don't able to keep myself motivated towards anything I do like my job, my studies or every goal of life which I want to achieve. Full day I feel like my mind is stressed and full of tensions. I sleep more than usual (around 9-10 hours). In the evening time I feel like little motivated and plan a lot of things to do in upcoming day like wake up early, do exercise, start me work, etc but when the net day comes and I ended up waking late and all the plannings gone and I again become apathetic towards life. I don't know what is going on with my mental condition and this is happening from last 5-6 months after I relocated from my hometown to another town in the search of job. Also I am living alone. Sometime I feel I am going into depression. Could you please help me in this?

Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. We need to see if what you are describing is an adjustment disorder, a unipolar depressive episode with personality issues or a depressive episode in the context of a soft bipolarity. This will need a detailed evaluation and appropriate recommendations will follow. Regardless of the exact diagnosis, psychotherapy or counseling will be useful. The need for medications and if needed, the choice of medicine can be ascertained after a detailed evaluation to confirm the exact diagnosis. Eat healthy, exercise and meditate. Don't worry, you will get better. Lots of people with much worser situations get better. Take care!

Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200, Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week. After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

Your wife may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and buttocks area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, hh zole, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please call me or contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.

I am suffering from pimples on my face. I have tried some sope change. But no changes on my face.

I am suffering from pimples on my face. I have tried some sope change. But no changes on my face.
Pimples is because of some internal problem. By applying soap/ face wash, its not goona be treated. As soap etc only remove dust etc on external surface. For permanent cure you need constitutional medicines, for that I need detailed case history. If you r interested then message me, I will guide you and we can start treatment. To prevent pimples, eat fresh fruits, green vegetables, drink plenty of water. This should be an essential part of your routine and intake of oily fried foods, an excess of sugar-salt should be avoided.

There is no single test ofr all stds and window period differs for each disease. You are not sure which disease you have in mind. Syphilis and Hiv can be life threatening if untreated.

Positive Psychology - Why It Is Important?

Positive Psychology - Why It Is Important?

If you’ve been hearing the term “positive psychology” thrown around a lot, but you’re not quite sure what it is, you’ve come to the right place!

There are some common misconceptions about positive psychology, both about what it is and what it is not.

To clear up some of these misunderstandings and provide a brief but comprehensive overview of the field, we’ve put together this piece focused on defining and describing the positive psychology movement.

What is positive psychology: a definition

Positive psychology has been described in many ways and with many words, but the commonly accepted definition of the field is this:

“positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living.” (peterson, 2008)

To push this brief description a bit further, positive psychology is a scientific approach to studying human thoughts, feelings, and behavior with a focus on strengths instead of weakness, building the good in life instead of repairing the bad, and taking the lives of average people up to “great” instead of focusing solely on moving those who are struggling up to “normal” (peterson, 2008).

What positive psychology focuses, on in a nutshell

Positive psychology focuses on the positive events and influences in life, including:

Positive experiences (like happiness, joy, inspiration, and love)

Positive states and traits (like gratitude, resilience, and compassion)

Positive institutions (applying positive principles within entire organizations and institutions)

As a field, positive psychology spends much of its time thinking about topics like character strengths, optimism, life satisfaction, happiness, well-being, gratitude, compassion (as well as self-compassion), self-esteem and self-confidence, hope, and elevation.

I had encounter std before, but treated, now I am planning to have baby, does it affect baby health, if yes, what I have to do before making baby.

You and your wife get tests done for all possible sexually transmitted infections. If you are clear, go ahead for pregnancy. If you have any infection positive in your blood, then you have to get treated. Some diseases if you have, you have to postpone the effort for pregnancy. Some diseases even if the blood test is positive, you can go ahead. We will counsel you depending upon the reports.
