Hello Doctor, I am 25 years old male going through some mental situation which I don't able to understand. I don't able to keep myself motivated towards anything I do like my job, my studies or every goal of life which I want to achieve. Full day I feel like my mind is stressed and full of tensions. I sleep more than usual (around 9-10 hours). In the evening time I feel like little motivated and plan a lot of things to do in upcoming day like wake up early, do exercise, start me work, etc but when the net day comes and I ended up waking late and all the plannings gone and I again become apathetic towards life. I don't know what is going on with my mental condition and this is happening from last 5-6 months after I relocated from my hometown to another town in the search of job. Also I am living alone. Sometime I feel I am going into depression. Could you please help me in this?
Is meniears curable. I am fed up of the constant feeling of imbalance and fluctuating ear pressure. I am not able to live normally because of this. I am having cervical spondylitis also. I feel depressed at times. I have lost confidence to go out alone or take part in any activity.
I am always suffering from throat problem when ever I eat cold food after then I suffer from cough so what should can I do.
I am 20 year old female. I Have lots of gray hair and my hair has become very thin as well as I Have hair fall too. I have tried many things but nothing worked out. Can you tell me what I should do?
My wife has been suffering from skin problem around genitals since one month. There is no pain but itching and swelling. She stays in Goalpara, Assam, where there is no dermatologist. i need your consultation and prescription to direct her medications. She has asthma and allergy.
My wife is diabetic and his average sugar hba1c is 5.9 can you suggest me roughing diet for her to maintain sugar level (age. 37 yr)
Is there any single test to diagnose sti's and std's? Whats the window period for that test? Which of the sti's and std's are curable and which are not? Are sti's, std's life threatening?
If you’ve been hearing the term “positive psychology” thrown around a lot, but you’re not quite sure what it is, you’ve come to the right place!
There are some common misconceptions about positive psychology, both about what it is and what it is not.
To clear up some of these misunderstandings and provide a brief but comprehensive overview of the field, we’ve put together this piece focused on defining and describing the positive psychology movement.
What is positive psychology: a definition
Positive psychology has been described in many ways and with many words, but the commonly accepted definition of the field is this:
“positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living.” (peterson, 2008)
To push this brief description a bit further, positive psychology is a scientific approach to studying human thoughts, feelings, and behavior with a focus on strengths instead of weakness, building the good in life instead of repairing the bad, and taking the lives of average people up to “great” instead of focusing solely on moving those who are struggling up to “normal” (peterson, 2008).
What positive psychology focuses, on in a nutshell
Positive psychology focuses on the positive events and influences in life, including:
Positive experiences (like happiness, joy, inspiration, and love)
Positive states and traits (like gratitude, resilience, and compassion)
Positive institutions (applying positive principles within entire organizations and institutions)
As a field, positive psychology spends much of its time thinking about topics like character strengths, optimism, life satisfaction, happiness, well-being, gratitude, compassion (as well as self-compassion), self-esteem and self-confidence, hope, and elevation.
