I am 27 years old female getting rid of dark circles from many years. As I am a medical student I have to study for late nights. My diet also was not good. I am taking seabuckthorn capsules containing omega 3, 6, 7, 9 vitamins and also taking protein x powder from last one month. I am applying aloe vera gel under eyes at night. Sometimes my dark circles seems lighter and some times darker but not properly gone. No puffiness no eye bags only slightly wrinkles n black hollow circles are there under my eyes. Please help me out what should I do to remove this dark circles permanently?

Genetics are the biggest culprit. If you inherit fair or thin skin under the eyes, it? s more obvious when blood pools there (often because of slower circulation from lack of sleep). This accumulation causes fragile capillaries to stretch and leak. Age is another factor. Over time, skin loses collagen and thins, so veins show through more prominently. Sunbathing speeds up this process by breaking down collagen and mottling skin color. Seasonal allergies are to blame for many people? they trigger the release of histamines in the body, which in turn inflame blood vessels and cause swelling? says ranella hirsch, a dermatologist in boston. To determine why your circles happen, gently stretch the skin under your eyes. If that area becomes darker, the circles are probably due to genetics or aging. If the color doesn? t change, uv rays or allergies are probably the cause. Use a retinoid look for one that's especially formulated for the eye area, like roc retinol correxion eye cream. The vita? min a derivative will fade pigment and increase collagen production to make skin less transparent so dark circles are less noticeable. For treatment and any queries ask privately.

My hairline is far from forehead. What can I do to near it to my forehead? Any Home remedy.

Hair fall could b significant or just physiological without any systemic involvement. Firstly, don't stress over it. Meditate. Practice yoga. Relax yourself. Stress vil increase your hairfall. Drink two litres of water. Eat plenty of pulses, meat, fish and milk. Avoid hair cosmetics. Wash hair twice or thrice a week. Shampoo should be done to wash dirt, dust and grime and not for anything else. Don't use dyes, bleaches or straighteners. Massage scalp to improve circulation. After a bath, don't blow dry your hair instead naturally dry hair. If any scalp infection, get it treated. Any allergy should be taken care of

Castor oil to treat dark circles

This is a simple yet effective remedy for dark circles. Take half a teaspoon of castor oil in a small cup. Place this cup in boiling water for 2 minutes so that the oil inside become slightly warm. Apply this oil around the eyes and massage lightly with your fingertips for 2 to 3 minutes. Do this at bedtime. Leave it on overnight and wash it the next day.

It gives great results if practiced regularly

The report will mention something like "Post void urine" That would be of help. Also further evaluation of symptoms along with size of prostate and post void urine are needed to decide if surgery is the best option.

How to Manage Sensitive Skin

MBBS, MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Delhi
How to Manage Sensitive Skin

People tend to believe that they have sensitive skin when they use certain products that don't suit them and causes some redness, itching, blotches, rashes, etc. However, this is not true. Sensitive skin is actually used to describe a condition when skin develops rashes, skin bumps, erosions, pustules, blotches, redness and so on when exposed to harsh weather conditions such as extreme heat, wind or cold.

There are some common skin ailments for that may harm a sensitive skin; i.e. Acne, rosacea, burning and stinging as well as contact dermatitis or irritants and allergies. Skin can be sensitive on any part of the body, including legs, arms, hands, etc. but it is most noticeable on the face though. The degree of sensitivity varies from person to person. Sensitive skin easily reacts when exposed to sunlight or wind. Also, such a skin is more prone to dryness, itchiness and redness. So, in case you have a sensitive skin you need to be extra cautious with the foods you eat and the products you use.

Precautions to be taken in case of a sensitive skin:

  1. First of all, you need to find out what is causing the problem. Is it food, weather or a product and stop using/avoiding those things to protect your skin.
  2. Wash your face with a mild cleanser twice a day.
  3. Do not overload yourself with several skin care products like toners, scrubs, packs, and variety of creams.
  4. Keep a healthy, balanced diet which is rich in antioxidants such as Vitamins A, C and E. Also increase your intake of anti-inflammatory spices such as turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper.
  5. Exercise daily to ensure a good circulation to the skin.
  6. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily. Adding lemon gives your skin the much needed Vitamin C.
  7. Choose natural and soft fabrics such as silk and cotton for sensitive skin.
  8. Avoid exposing your skin to too hot or cold water .
  9. Avoid using skin care and cosmetic products that have alcohol, harsh exfoliants, petrochemicals, acids, or synthetic fragrances as these can irritate the skin.
  10. While trying a new product make sure to do a trial test on the skin especially on your inner arm or behind your ear.
  11. Use a good broad spectrum sunscreen which is non comedogenic, paraben and fragrance-free.
  12. Try to reduce stress in life by resorting to activities such as meditation, yoga, or walking.
  13. Get enough restful sleep to enable your body clock to function normally, which will give you clear skin.

However, if you do have any prolonged, unexplained skin reaction then you should consult dermatologist who might conduct a skin allergy test to identify the root cause of the problem. Finally, limit your alcohol intake.

My skin is going to be black day by day what is the reason and how can I reduce it.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

It could be accumulation of dirt, dust, pollutants etc. It could be allergy or drug reaction. If it's not reaction of drug or allergy, try to clean the skin by scrubbing and herbal mild skin cosmetics of renowned brand. Take oral'raktashodhak' medicines and leafy greens to the max. Revert after a month.
