Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times

Heel Pain:Get treated with Ultrasonic therapy which would directly heal the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. Along with ultrasonic therapy, shortwave diathermy also can be given. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the Plantar Fascitis weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. You shall do contrast bath to relieve this pain. Contrast bath is nothing but keeping in one tub hot water (bearable heat) and in another tub cold water Ask your father to apply ice in the painful area which would definitely help to greater extent. If still the pain persists then it is better to keep TENS stimulation at one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics.

Spinal pain cannot bend plays foot bal every day but cannot take attain because of the pain. Is it any disease.

It can be a disease either some bony abnormality or the disc protrusion if back pain is not associated with any leg pain, try some physiotherapy and vitamin d supplement if no relief get mri of ls spine done and consult privately.

Hello Doc is there any way to rejoin avulsion of PCL tibia attachment without surgery. I dnt wanna do it. As per MRI report it showing PCL avulsion of tibia attachment. I can walk, can use upstare, only the difficulties I am facing is that not able to fold my leg completely if I do so the complete area ok knee pain. Kindly suggest me something best.

The course of rehabilitation for a pcl injury is dependent on the degree of injury. An isolated injury of grade I or grade ii may be treated with physical therapy. A grade I or grade ii injury is usually treated with a brief period of knee splinting in extension, followed by early rom and a quadriceps and hamstring strengthening program. Recovery is quick, and many patients are able to return to normal function in about 4 weeks. Closed kinetic chain exercises and open kinetic chain exercises are recommended. The use of continuous passive motion (cpm) machines for early knee mobilization is an option. A good outcome is correlated with the maintenance of good quadriceps strength. Please consult a physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pcl avulsion. Best wishes.

I am 36 years old suffering from ankylosing spondylitis. I can barely walk when with crutches .my spine is motionless with stiff neck and backbone. I am unable to handle this please guide me. If I need to undergo total hip replacement then which is the suitable place in india and suitable doctor and please mention the approx. Estimate for this.

Hi. Have you undergone physiotherapy treatment. Proper exercise only can help you to get rid off this problem. I will suggest you to meet a very good physiotherapist. If you do hip replacement then also you have to continue exercise throughout your life.

Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Press the point on the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from toe in the foot 20 times by pressing and releasing with a blunt edge of a pen. Further rotate your foot clockwise and anticlockwise 10 times. Massage your leg with both hands. Pl consult after a week.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.
