Hello Sir/ Ma'am, My problem started when I was a kid, one fine day all of a sudden I was not able to initiate urine. I told my mom and she took me to some Army MI room and there these doc applied some lotion in my lower abdomen. Although it didn't helped me but I kept silent because of embarrassment. Eventually I found that if I relax my self and concentrate I can start my urine or else I have to sit down and poop in order to empty my bladder. Also I noticed that when want to pee it feels like something is blocking my hole and my dick starts to erect a bit not much 15% because I can see the nerves and dick head swelling. I have noticed that sometimes I don't feel such problems like when I am less anxious or no gas problem. Problem is worst when I have gas problem. Example: when I work out or any physical activity and then I go to pee its normal like no problem but when I am travelling or in public toilet or if someone its waiting in the line then I have a hard time to start urination and I kinda start feeling bloated. Just an FYI when I fart while peeing it somehow relaxes some muscle which actually helps me to push my pee. Because of this problem I always avoid public places to pee. I always get anxious. Its really difficult while travelling in bus. Please help or suggest me what might be the cause of this? Masturbation which I am in a verge to quitting, paruresis, prostatitis or enlarged prostate gland? Kindly advise how to treat this.

Hello Sir/ Ma'am,
My problem started when I was a kid, one fine day all of a sudden I was not able to initiate urine....
Your problem can be solved with proper treatment however this a very rare type of deformity I will explain you the treatment procedure. Consult me privately. Read this on masturbation addiction. Masturbation addiction is, simply put, the compulsive need to masturbate. The need becomes so overwhelming that the addict does not have the power to keep from masturbating. This overpowering desire is at the base of most forms of sexual addiction. The need to view pornography is usually a precursor to masturbation. Involving with prostitutes and illicit sexual activity is the next stage to it. It should be stopped as it has done lots of damage to you mentally/physically. It ruins once sexual health and even further lead them to impotency. Opt for my ayurvedic medicines (with counselling given on phone) that will help you stop this addiction. Proper medication will be given to control the urge of sexual desires and to recover the loss/damage given to the body Including penis curve and also penis enlargement. Conslt me privatly for further guidance. Do not worry Tc.

I am 35 years old male. I have anal itching as soon as passing stool. This is not happening regularly. And also associating with some lower gas. I also faced the tests colonoscopy normal reports were came. Please tell me what was my problem?

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Gurgaon
It may be fissure or piles. Colonoscopy is generally done to rule out more serious lesions. Anal fissure improves with general measures but may require surgery. Piles of an early grade also improves with general measures. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon.

You have to test urine for infection and avoid diet which cause uric acid stones, cut down on high-purine foods such as red meat, organ meats, and shellfish, and follow a healthy diet that contains mostly vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and low fat dairy products.

Does drinking lots of water can cure this?
Tips for removing kidney stones:: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send ur USG report becoz medication for stones depends upon size number and location of stones and can be given after USG.

Is tongue fissures can be healed? Will tongue become normal again? Is fissured tongue is a disease or symptom of another disease? Is fissured tongue a matter of concern?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
It’s called fissured tongue. It is s a benign condition characterized by deep grooves (fissures) in the dorsum of the tongue. Although these grooves may look unsettling, the condition is usually painless. Clean the surface of the tongue with a tongue cleaner to prevent any bacterial or fungal infection.

I was diagnosed with small kidney stones measuring 3.4 mm in the upper calyx of left kidney. Doc said it will go naturally & was given neeri tablets initially. Later I consulted an urologist who prescribed urimax 0.2 mg. My second lab report after few days measured the stone with 2 mm. The medicines are not helping. I also have constant UTIs. Will this ever get healed naturally?

Hi lybrate-user, small stones inside the kidney cannot be removed within a few days. Only painful stones (which are blocking the ureter) get passed within a few hours to few days. Moreover, 2 mm stone cannot be diagnosed with accuracy in ultrasound. It will not harm you immediately. Just drink a lot of fluids and take citrus fruits regularly. Get a repeat ultrasound after 3 months. For UTI, you need to be evaluated directly by a Urologist. If there is an underlying precipitating factor, that needs to be corrected. If no underlying factor is found, you can follow general precautions for preventing UTI like increased fluid intake, voiding after intercourse, proper toilet hygiene, avoiding constipation, taking curd regularly etc. Sometimes you may need low dose antibiotic prophylaxis. This will be decided by your Urologist. Wish you good health

I am 42 years old my problem is that six month earlier I was diagnosed stone in kidney symptom. What to do now ?

I am 42 years old my problem is that six month earlier I was diagnosed stone in kidney symptom. What to do now ?
Kidney stones are one of the most painful disorders that affect humans. Kidney stones are solid masses of mineral salt deposits that are normally filtered through the kidney and emptied via urine. Urine has a natural substance, which dissolves these minerals, thereby preventing them into becoming solids or calculi. Sometimes due to dehydration, these salts don?t get dissolved and crystallization takes place. It grows large enough to obstruct the renal ducts or get stuck in the ureter, causing sharp and severe pain in the urinary tract. Untreated, kidney stones can cause renal failure. Basil leaves (Tulsi) are good for the overall health of kidney. Mix 1 teaspoon of juice from basil leaves with 1 teaspoon of honey and have it daily in the morning. You can also chew two to three basil leaves in order to remove the stones from the urinary tract. The water and potassium content that is present in watermelon is an essential ingredient for a healthy kidney. It helps in regulating and maintaining the level of acid present in the urine. Eating watermelon or drinking its juice everyday will help in flushing out stones from the kidney.

Cut down the consumption of water intake in the evening learn to control and make it a habit not to visit the bathroom before two hrs initially and then three hrs later on it may cause you some difficulty in the beginning but it is worth trying as it will benefit you in the long run.

Urine Colour - What It Says About Your Health?

DNB (Nephrology), MD, MBBS
Nephrologist, Delhi
Urine Colour - What It Says About Your Health?

Changes in the colour of your urine can reveal important information about your health. If your urine takes on a hue beyond what's normal, it can be indicative of something wrong with your health. In general, the normal urine colour varies from pale yellow to deep yellowish-brown, which is a result of a chemical pigment in the urine called urochrome.

1. Red or Pink

  • When your kidneys, urethra, bladder or any other urinary tract organ gets infected or inflamed, blood cells get leaked into the urine, giving it a red hue. The causes behind the presence of blood can be urinary tract infections, kidney cysts, kidney stones, enlarged prostate and even cancer. Taking blood thinners can also cause you to have blood in your urine.
  • Certain foods like blackberries, rhubarb and beets can cause your urine to turn pink.
  • The use of certain medications like a particular class of antibiotic used in the treatment of tuberculosis can turn your urine red. Likewise, a drug used to numb discomfort in the urinary tract can cause a red/pink discoloration of your urine.

2. Blue or Green

  • The consumption of coloured food dyes containing green or blue pigments can cause you to pass urine of such hues.
  • Certain anti-depressant and anti-inflammatory medications can turn your urine green/blue.
  • A very rare medical condition called familial benign hypercalcemia (fbh), characterised by high levels of calcium in thE blood and low levels of the mineral in the urine can cause your urine to turn blue.
  • Green urine can also occur if your urinary tract gets infected by the pseudomonas bacteria.

3. Dark Brown

  • Having large amounts of these foods - aloe, rhubarb (a type of leafy green) and broad beans can cause you to pass dark brown urine.
  • Certain anti-malarial drugs, laxatives and muscle relaxants can darken the colour of your urine as well.
  • Dark brown urine can also be caused by disorders of the kidney or liver as well as infections of the urinary tract.
  • Injury of the muscle as a result of excessive training can result in dark brown urine.

4. Orange

  • Problems with the bile duct (the duct through which bile from the gall bladder and liver passes before entering the duodenum) or liver along with the passing of light coloured stools can result in orange urine.
  • A cause of orange urine may also be dehydration as fluids bring about an increase in the concentration of compounds present in the urine.

5. White

  • The presence of calcium or phosphate sediments in the urine can give it a white hue.
  • White urine can also be a result of funguria infection (a form of fungal urinary infection wherein the fungus produces white sediments) or a bacterial infection. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.
