I am a grandma. Why does doctors advise hot water bath and refuse to give drinking water to new born babies?

Hello, Warm water bath can surely be given. But feeding water before 6 months of age can lead to various infections in the baby. Mother milk has enough water vo tent in it ro prevent dehydration. Water is the major source of infection for any age group.

My son is 13 years old. His tooths are not in order. I have to fix him a clip. So kindly advice whether it would be painful and any teeth are to be removed. And what would be the approximate cost for fixing a clip.

General Physician,
Not painful. Whether tooth has to be removed, can be said only after seeing. Cost differ in centers and depends on dentists. You can ask them.

Using baby soaps by adults is advisable or not in order to maintain a soft and bright skin.

MBBS, MD - Paediatrics

There is no standard guidelines for use of baby soap in adults. Baby soaps are having less chemicals to protect babies. They will not maintain soft and bright skin. Use of moisteriser and sunsreen may help you to maintain soft and bright skin.

My son is 15 months old He is suffering in Krabbe disease, is this disease is curable what we do Pls. Suggest me.

BHMS
Homeopath, Ranchi
Dear parent Although there is no cure for Krabbe disease is known, bone marrow transplantation has been shown to benefit cases early in the course of the disease. Generally, treatment for the disorder is symptomatic and supportive. Physical therapy may help maintain or increase muscle tone and circulation. Cord blood transplants have been successful in stopping the disease as long as they are given before overt symptoms appear. All the best.

Please give exclusive breast feeding and stop any other milk if you are giving. Such type of problem usually occurs when you give milk other than breast milk.
