I feel tired quickly. My bones are so weak. I Need ayurvedic medical for gain more strength.

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
OATMEAL Oatmeal is an energy packed food that provides constant energy for hours. Oatmeal is an unprocessed, complex carbohydrate that your body digests slowly. Slow digestion keeps blood sugar at optimal levels and helps avoid the crash that typically comes with faster burning carbs. A bowl of oatmeal in the morning will keep you going strong through your day. SWEET POTATOES Sweet potatoes are hypoallergenic and the preferred source of post-workout carbohydrates for many athletes and bodybuilder who want to keep their energy stores up and body fat down. Starchy carbs like sweet potatoes eaten after a workout, act as a catalyst for protein to enter muscle tissue and begin the repair/rebuild process. Steam or bake a small or medium sweet potato to eat after your next workout. BANANA Banana has a combination of fiber and natural fruit sugars. Having a banana gives you instant energy and increases your stamina in a long run. For best results, eat them 20 minutes before you need a lot of energy. GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES They are packed with micronutrients. It is essential for building stamina and also to improve your RBC count. Green leafy veggies are rich in fibre and digest slowly while maintaining your blood-glucose level. EGGS Eggs, especially if both yolk and white are consumed, can be an excellent whole-food choice to provide micronutrients and protein. Eat a few boiled eggs within a 30-minute after your workout to see uptake in your stamina. SALMON Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and they have many health benefits like helping in burning fat, improving cardiovascular health, improving the body’s immune system, providing relief from pain and inflammation and helping in muscle maintenance. WALNUTS Are you a non-fish eater? Walnuts are another way of getting heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Grab a handful of walnuts before heading outdoors. COFFEE A cup of coffee before exercise will have a noticeable effect on stamina because of its caffeine content. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, which explains why so many people worldwide start their day with a cup of coffee. BEET JUICE This is one drink, which is loaded with energy and can help boost your stamina level tremendously. If you exercise after consuming beet juice, you will be able to exercise for longer durations because it is loaded with vitamins A, C and lots of mineral. SKIM MILK With its balance of fast-acting carbohydrates and proteins, skim milk is the ideal post-exercise muscle recovery food. COCONUT WATER Coconut water is considered as the best natural energy drink. Consume coconut water before and during workout because you get beneficial minerals in the less volume of liquid. WHEY PROTEIN Whey contains all the nine amino acids necessary for human dietary needs. They are generally “grab and go”, an easy and convenient source of high-quality protein. Proper protein timing is essential for maximizing muscle gains. Whey provides you with the ability to have a fast digesting protein meal whenever you need it. If you imagine your body as a car, then food would be the fuel. To get optimal performance out of either a car or out of your body, you need to make sure that you are providing the highest quality fuel you can. Eat a lot of good things Protein = building block for your muscles Carbs will help you put on weight, but it won’t be muscle Keep track of everything you eat Compound exercises are your friend Appearance is a consequence of fitness Let your muscles rest Sleep Make it part of your routine Realize you will put on some fat U need to take a high protein high calorie diet.

I have a desk job I do have back pain so what medicine i should take what is the symptoms of thyroid.

BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist,
Here is some best exeecises for your back. No need to use medicine try volini or other pain relief spray n do some exercise The 12 Best Stretching Exercises at Your Desk Just stand up and sit down -- no handsYou might have gotten a gold star in preschool for sitting still, but it just goes to show you (best sellers notwithstanding) that not all of us learned everything we need to know in kindergarten. "If you stand up and sit down (over and over) -- without using your hands -- it can be a challenge, says Smith. "Do it while you're on the phone; no one will know. Substitute exercise for sitting -- while you workGet rid of your desk chair and substitute an exercise ball, suggests Smith. "I used it for a while when I was having low-back problems; it was great, Smith says. "All day you are engaging all the muscles in the back, legs, butt, everything, to stay balanced. Hame knows one man who put a treadmill in his office and conducted all his business while walking. (He lost weight, too, Hame says) Shrug your shoulders -- to release the neck and shouldersInhale deeply and shrug your shoulders, lifting them high up to your ears. Hold. Release and drop. Repeat three times. Shake your head slowly, yes and no. You might as well amuse yourself while you do it to relax even further. Ask yourself silly questions: "Is your boss an idiot? Move your head up and down, "Yes, yes, yes. Side to side: "No. No. No. (Shedding tension is as much mental as physical) Loosen the hands with air circlesClench both fists, stretching both hands out in front of you. Make circles in the air, first in one direction, to the count of ten. Then reverse the circles. Shake out the hands. Point your fingers -- good for hands, wrist, and forearmsStretch your left hand out in front of you, pointing fingers toward the floor. Use your right hand to increase the stretch, pushing your fingers down and toward the body. Be gentle. Do the same with the other hand. Now stretch your left hand out straight in front, wrist bent, with fingers pointing skyward. Use your right hand to increase the stretch, pulling the fingers back toward your body. Do the same on the other side. Release the upper body with a torso twistInhale and as you exhale, turn to the right and grab the back of your chair with your right hand, and grab the arm of the chair with your left. With eyes level, use your grasp on the chair to help twist your torso around as far to the back of the room as possible. Hold the twist and let your eyes continue the stretch -- see how far around the room you can peer. Slowly come back to facing forward. Repeat on the other side. Do leg extensions -- work the abs and legsGrab the seat of your chair to brace yourself and extend your legs straight out in front of you so they are parallel to the floor. Flex and point your toes five times. Release. Repeat.Stretch your back with a "big hug" Hug your body, placing the right hand on your left shoulder and the left hand on your right shoulder. Breathe in and out, releasing the area between your shoulder blades. Cross your arms -- for the shoulders and upper backExtend one arm out straight in front of you. With the other hand, grab the elbow of the outstretched arm and pull it across your chest, stretching your shoulder and upper back muscles. Hold. Release. Stretch out the other arm in front of you -- repeat. Stretch your back and shoulders with a "leg hug" Sit on the edge of your chair (if it has wheels, wedge the chair against the desk or wall to make sure it does not roll). Put your feet together, flat on the floor. Lean over, chest to knees, letting your arms dangle loosely to the floor. Release your neck. Now bring your hands behind your legs, right hand grasping left wrist, forearm (or elbow if you can reach that far), left hand grasping the right. Feel the stretch in your back, shoulders and neck. Hold. Release your hands to the floor again. Repeat three times or as often as it feels good. Look up to release upper bodySit up tall in your chair, or stand up. Stretch your arms overhead and interlock your fingers. Turn the palms to the ceiling as you lift your chin up, tilt your head back, and gaze up at the ceiling, too. Inhale, exhale, release. Substitute walks for email -- and don't eat at your deskInstead of emailing a colleague "and copying 25 people who don't want to be copied anyway, Smith says, "walk over to the colleague you really want to talk to. Instead of a lunch meeting at your desk, walk together to a neighborhood sandwich shop. "Talk while you walk -- it's more efficient and productive, Smith says. "You're getting more oxygen to the brain, you have no distractions, and you're more likely to remember what is said.

Lybrate-user, first thing is blood sugar must be in excellent control with fasting around 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg and hba1c% <7. Plus get the wound completely drained and cleaned, properly dressed. There is a need for proper antibiotic treatment for a week or more. Then the wound will heal. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user the causes of hand swellings can range from simple ganglion cysts, which can be observed to serious condition some nasty infection which require urgent treatment including surgery. With the limited amount of information given by yourself it is difficult to establish the nature of your issue and it best be discussed and seen by specialists in the field.

I am suffering with heel problem since 6, 7 months . What is the reason for this pain.

MPTh/MPT, BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Guwahati
It can be either plantar fascitis, or calcanear spur. Though without seeing your feet and examining it properly, exact diagnosis can't be done. Still i'll give you some general suggestions. Don't wear heels, wear flats, if possible wear sandals/shoes made of mcr material, every morning as soon as you get up, before placing the feet on the ground, do some general up-down and sideways movement of feet, then take a tub filled with lukewarm water, add some salt in it, immerse your feet in it, and again do feet movements for 10-15 mins, then place a cloth or towel on the floor, place your feet over it and curl your toes, ie, bend your toes and relax, continuously for 20 times, then do calf muscles self stretching for sometime. All these will gradually reduce your problem. Visit a physiotherapist personally for some other treatments for pain relief.
