Do not worry. It takes time for fever to settle down. Mostly fever settles down within 48 to 72 hours with use of age appropriate antibiotics in bacterial pneumonia. Your doctor may switch to other antibiotics with better coverage if fever does not settle. Trust your doctor. I am sure your child shall recover fast in couple of days. Best wishes Arun shah Muzaffarpur.

I have one kid he is 25 months old he was drinking only milk not eating food so please solve my problem.

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), MBBS
Pediatrician, Gurgaon
Firstly if your child is bottle fed, immediately stop his bottle feeding. Give milk up to three times a day by glass. Give four semisolid meals in a day. In case he doesn't eat, do not give milk instead. Eat with him. This should gradually improve the situation.

How To Deal With Picky Eaters (Children)?

How To Deal With Picky Eaters (Children)?

Is your child refusing to grab anything other than chicken nuggets? When your child’s nutrition is an aching subject to deal with in your household, remember you are not the only one. Many parents are actually worried about the fussiness of their children over food. But your child’s food preferences would also mature with age. Until then, you can consider trying out these following tips to avoid any kind of mealtime hassles.

  1. Respect your child's appetite or lack of one: Respect your child’s level of appetite and never force a meal, if your child is not hungry. Rather, serve small portions to give them an opportunity to ask for more, on their own.

  2. Stick to the routine: Maintain a routine and serve snacks and meals at about the same time every day. Also, keep a check on the number of times you serve those mid meal snacks and try to stick to that count.

  3. Be patient with new foods: Have patience with new food. Take time in introducing it to your child by talking about the food’s shape, color, aroma and texture, if not the taste.

  4. Make it fun: Try out innovative ways of garnishing your food so as to make the whole eating experience a fun and a thrilling one for your child.

  5. Recruit your child's help: At the grocery store, ask your child to help you select vegetables, fruits and other healthy foods. But keep off those foods which you would not want you child to eat.

  6. Set an example: Set an example by yourself by eating all kinds of nutritious and healthy foods, in order to set that perfect example for your child.

  7. Cut Distractions: Make sure to switch off from any sort of a distraction, such as the television or the washing machine and other electronic gadgets while feeding your child.

  8. Don't offer dessert as a reward: Do not reward your child with desserts at the end of the meal as this sends them an indication that the dessert is the best dish among all.

  9. Do not cook a separate meal: Do not cook a separate meal for your child after he/she has refused the original one as this might encourage picky eating even more.

Steroids are not advisable to tender skin in my opinion. There are pure coconut oil or preparations made thereof which are suitable for babies' skin. Pure organic herbal powder of Rubia cordifolia and curcumin extract 500 mg each may be licked by baby with honey and see safe changes yourself.

Tips To Help You Reduce The Risk Of Type 2 Diabetes

Tips To Help You Reduce The Risk Of Type 2 Diabetes

Here are some tips to help you reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes.

Check your risk of diabetes. Take the life! risk assessment test and learn more about your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. A 12+ score indicates that you are at high risk and may be eligible for the life! program - a free victorian lifestyle modification program that helps you reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Manage your weight. Excess body fat, particularly if stored around the abdomen, can increase the body’s resistance to the hormone insulin. This can lead to type 2 diabetes.

Exercise regularly. Moderate physical activity on most days of the week helps manage weight, reduce blood glucose levels and may also improve blood pressure and cholesterol.

Eat a balanced, healthy diet. Reduce the amount of fat in your diet, especially saturated and trans fats. Eat more fruit, vegetables and high-fibre foods. Cut back on salt.

Limit takeaway and processed foods. convenience meals are usually high in salt, fat and kilojoules. It's best to cook for yourself using fresh ingredients whenever possible.

Limit your alcohol intake. Too much alcohol can lead to weight gain and may increase your blood pressure and triglyceride levels. Men should have no more than two standard drinks a day and women should have no more than one.

Quit smoking. Smokers are twice as likely to develop diabetes as non-smokers.

Control your blood pressure. Most people can do this with regular exercise, a balanced diet and by keeping a healthy weight. In some cases, you might need medication prescribed by your doctor.

Reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease. Diabetes and cardiovascular disease have many risk factors in common, including obesity and physical inactivity.

See your doctor for regular check-ups. As you get older, it's a good idea to regularly check your blood glucose, blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels.

YOu have keep a calm and happy mind as milk production is related your mental state. You see if the nipple is retracted and always feed her. After the brest feed is given you can give top feeds with a spoon or filler but no bottle feeding. YOu can also express breast milk and feed it with spoon after suckling at breast. Try Lactare capsule for milk production

Mild fever is the good effect of vaccine and passing stool can be infection. To control it, if you are giving bottle feed you have to stop and give breastmilk and other feed if you give at all, feed with a spoon.

He is suffering from constipation.  he should be on a good fibre rich diet. Give plenty of water.  regular laxative if needed along with a good diet plan. As constipation is a chronic problem in most cases and most common cause is habitual constipation.  You must ensure a regular bowel time after a drink irrespective of passage of stool. He should be sitting for sometime say 10_ 15 minutes in a fixed time daily in a Indian style toilet. She appears  to be a fussy eater. Most importantly you need to be patient with her. Don't shout or scream while feeding her. Try to make her feeding time fun or playtime. After not giving any food for 3 hrs at least make him sit with the food he likes (solid foods not pastes or liquids) with spoon and katori or fork. Let him at least play with the food for some time. If he likes milk a lot then try to give solid like plain rice, oats. Chatu. With the pediasure You can have a deal with him. He will take 1 sip milk and 1 bite of something  This way he will learn to chew Threptin  biscuits are good to taste and are rich in protein (casein) Avoid giving him chips fast food Makes small pieces of food  and ask  her to try just 1 bite. If he likes the taste she will have another. If he likes chicken. Give him chicken in different  ways. Introduce him to egg. Boiled or omelette whatever he likes. Play with him till he feels tired. Playing running will improve digestion. Don't loose temper You can give him  one egg a day Cucumbers made into small pieces will help  with problem of flatulence. Children have to deal with new  food, new habits. So they act out. Do not get flustered if he criesmakes a scene. Sit quietly, go to another room, ignore him. He will learn that bad behaviour  will not allow him to get her own way. I know it's very difficult but keep trying as that's the best you can give him. Pain  abdomen  may be due indigestion earmarked, gastritis. Good hand hygiene: Regular nail trimming Washing hand after each toilet visit. And before taking any food in any form Also take care of drinking water quality. Test Adviced: CBC with AEC Stool and urine R/E, M/E USG abdomen Share the reports if any Kindly do the follo You can check out the Health blog I manage with my wife. It has many helpful tips. Parents, out of love, give to child what they think is best for their kid's health but never care to know what kid wants. Your kid is 16 months. He has his own choice. Give him home made every thing he wants. Avoid sugar rich drinks, chocolates or like. To rule out any illness, consult pediatrician.
