Arthritis etc. Please send me all investigation reports if available. Till then you can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I can explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques, if interested. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

I got lower back pain and mange it with applying some herbal oils or pain balms. Still doing Surya namaskar. Is there a way to get it under control so that my yoga practice is not affected.

BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Pune
For that you need to understand what is wrong with the pain site is there a degenerative changes or a inflammatory response or something wrong with you yoga practice. So first stop you practice for 3 to 4 day and note the intensity of pain if its reduce significantly it might be because of some wrong yogasana your doing. If not do x day or MRI and consult you physician. For now do back stretching, hot pack and rest.

Homeopath,
Please try homeopathic. Medicine alumina 30x tds 4pills. If not relieved then consult homeopathic physician for constitutional remedy. Secondly I think that you should go for surgery. Seeing you r symptoms I think its sciatica due to gap in l4-l5.

Is there any permanent cure in Homeopath of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. How to which type of arthritis one is suffering from? I am 43 years lady having pain in multiple joint. Almost all the joints and even in bones. Pls help.

MBBS, DNB (General Medicine), EULAR Certified, Fellowship in Diabetes
Rheumatologist, Pune
There is excellent treatment in Allopathy for Rheumatoid arthritis if you have the disease. No one should suffer from RA in the current era of modern medicine because medicines are very effective. Osteoarthritis is a degenrative type of disease, hence treatments are limited but good pain relief is possible (in Allopathy) Regards.

Your problem is not bodily but psycho-somatic presently. Still you get investigated for gout and rhematoid arthritis. You may pain killers for bodily pains. But if the problem is psycho-somatic you have to take SSRIs with psychological treatment.

How long does it take to get recover from l3 vertebra wedge compression unstable fracture?

DNB (Orthopedics), Fellowship in Joint Replacement, MS - Orthopaedics

Unstable fracture inherently means that it should be operated. Only stable fracture can be treated with rest. Properly done surgery will allow you to walk on 2nd or 3rd day. Is you do not get a surgery done it will take around 1-2 months to walk propewrly.
