Antibiotics taken when indicated are safe. They don't harm your body, infact they help you. So meet ENT specialist and kindly follow the advice. If you are getting tonsillitis 5 to 6 times in a year please get tonsillectomy operation done. If less than 3 infections in a year, take antibiotics whenever you suffer infection. Blood coming from mouth needs to be evaluated.

Hai Mr. Lybrate-user, your symptoms are suggestive of gastritis. Having food with long gaps and beverages like coffee, tea, spicy n unhygienic foods leads to this. I suggest you to start with antacids, and have food at regular intervals. Till your gastritis comes down, try to have bland food avoiding beverages.

My child 6 year old GENERAL HEALTH CHECK-UP in SCHOOL please request to consult for NAD wax present in right ear.

ENT Specialist, Udupi
My child 6 year old GENERAL HEALTH CHECK-UP in SCHOOL please request to consult for NAD wax present in right ear.
For wax you can apply DEWAX ear drops 5 drops into the ears twice daily. Since the child is school-going apply drops in the evening and in the night. Child should lie down atleast for 10-15 minutes after application of drops. Apply for 1 week. You can consult an ENT consultant after 1 week and get the wax removed after it has softened.

I am having sore throat, cough, my nose is choked for last 15 days. Please advise me medicine. I have also done blood test for typhoid also it is negative

NOISE INDUCED HEARING LOSS(IN BRIEF)

Master of Hospital Administration, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (B.A.S.L.P)

NOISE INDUCED HEARING LOSS(IN BRIEF)
Noise-induced hearing loss (nihl) is hearing impairment resulting from exposure to high decibel (loud) sound that may exhibit as loss of a narrow range of frequencies, impaired cognitive perception of sound or other impairment, including hyperacusis or tinnitus.[1] hearing may deteriorate gradually from chronic and repeated noise exposure, such as loud music or background noise, or suddenly, from an acute, high intensity noise incident including gunshots and airhorns.[1] in both types, loud sound overstimulates delicate hearing cells, leading to the permanent injury or death of the cells. Once lost, hearing cannot be restored in humans. There are a variety of prevention and mitigation strategies available to avoid or reduce hearing loss. If not prevented, hearing loss can be managed through assistive devices and cognitive therapies.

Prevention is the single defense against noise induced hearing loss. The best, first option for protecting hearing is lowering the volume of sound at its source. Secondly, limiting the time of exposure to loud noise can reduce injury. Finally, physical protection from the noise can reduce its impact. Government regulations are designed to limit occupational exposure to dangerously loud noise. The largest burden of nihl, has been through occupational exposures; however, noise-induced hearing loss can also be due to unsafe recreational, residential, social, and military service-related noise exposures.[2] it is estimated that 15% of young people are exposed to sufficient leisure noises (i. E. Concerts, sporting events, daily activities, personal listening devices, etc.) to cause nihl.[3] there is not a limited list of noise sources that can cause hearing loss. Rather, it is important to understand that excessive decibel levels of any source over time can cause hearing loss.
