Back pain from a spinal block usually presents during the first two to six hours after the procedure. Back pain that starts three to five days after the procedure usually signifies a complication. For most people, back pain from a spinal block lasts only a few days. Occasionally, pain may persist for a few weeks. Alternating hot and cold compresses can reduce local tissue inflammation and speed healing. Limiting activity also helps, especially for people with muscle spasms triggered by movement. Severe or sharp pain should be evaluated by a doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello. I can understand your fear. But if the pain is bearable then don't jump on to conclusions and avoid taking pain killers as they will never cure. Better first consult an orthopaedic surgeon and get proper diagnosis. Once you have the diagnosis then consult a good homoeopath for treatment. As it is safe and permanent.

5 Things to Keep in Mind After Fractures

When you get a fracture, a lot of pain and a lot of suffering is all you can imagine. But you have to take care of these 5 things to get a good healing in place.

1. Give it some rest. A lot of rest. Give yourself a break from all the household chores, from your work life and take a nice month off. Sleep well and just let your body experience healing holistically. 

2. Apply ice immediately if you suspect an injury. As soon as you sustain an injury and you think it could be a fracture, apply cold pack. This limits the inflammation around the bone and allows skin and structures to permit healing process. Also it prevents nerve compression damage.

3. Avoid weight bearing or any pressure on the broken bone. This is a non-negotiable part of healing that your bone doctor will also advice you surely. This will only increase swelling and hamper the development process. So take care to avoid any stress to your injured part and body.

4. Eat healthy foods rich in calcium. The bones need calcium and vitamin D to aid in the repair process. Using up all the calcium and vitamin D stored up, makes the body's stores depleted. Hence make sure to check your Calcium & Vitamin D levels to make sure that wasn't the cause of the fraccture in the first place. A few examples of calcium rich foods are eggs, milk and milk products, lentils and beans, legumes like spinach and salads. Include a good amount of Vitamin C also such as in citrus fruits. 

5. Take your pills. If your orthopedic has prescribed pills to you for the fracture, you should take them. Very often I have seen patients avoiding pain killers to make the side effects less, but what it does is only harm. You should know that pain killers or NSAIDs(non-steroidal anti-inflammatroy drugs) that are most commonly prescribed after fractures are to reduce your inflammatory response. This means that the pills help your body fight off too much bleeding and allow a fast recovery, so don't shy away from them.

Joint and muscle pain arises when excess pressure is exerted on a particular joint or due to the wear and tear of a particular muscle. This is one area where many people face chronic pain, with symptoms such as deformity of the joints, swelling, immobility of the joints and severe joint pain. There are a lot of topical as well as oral medicines for chronic pain within conventional medicine, but it may not always be effective for all types of patients.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Goodmorning I have understood your question. Kindly use a chest binder while playing so that you get a support to your chest. You must also start on breathing exercises. This will enhance a better rob cage repair and care. You must have sprained your chest muscles.

Vitamin d deficency is most common in females and can easly be cured by medicine or avia healthy diet. But I believe that, this is not the reason for your problem. Either you have a nerve compression on shoulder or wrist. Either ask to your consultant for a nerve conduction test or go for minimum 15 days physiotherapy sessions to a well qualified therapist.

Hello ! it is curable if you restrict your diet , and adopt Plant Based diet, Gluten free diet, avoid dairy products, avoid Nightshade category foods, and incorporate Good amount of anti-inflammatory foods into your daily diet. Living with Joint Pains and Arthritis

Joint pains is one of the most common and painful health condition. Living with joint pains is not easy. Ayurvedic remedies therapies, treatments, herbs and home remedies have been providing relief since ages.

 

Ayurvedic view of Joint Pains and Arthritis

According to Ayurvedic understanding, joint pains develop mainly due to accumulated toxic matter which further results in imbalance of the three doshas. Due to weakness of the gastric fire or the agni, when the food remains undigested, then the undigested juice (Ama rasa) intermingles with the vitiated doshas viz.Vata, Pitta and Kapha. This results in causing pain and inflammation in the joints and thus production of the disease of joint pains and arthritis.

 

Joint Pains Symptoms

Joint pains may show symptoms like – Tenderness and enlargement of the joint with limitation of its movements. There generally is pain in the affected joints, which increases on movement and decreases with rest. Joint pains are generally accompanied by joint stiffness and wasting of the muscles. The pain might increase with change in the weather. Also, in joint pains there is loss of flexibility, grating sensation and bone spurs may emerge. The ailment of joint pains and arthritis may also include symptoms like anorexia, weakness, loss of weight and difficulty in movement of the joints as the disease progresses.

 

Knee Joint Pains

The knee joint pains are one of the most common and dreaded joint pains which are much weakening and distressing. These joint pains are mainly the form of osteo-arthritis which is a degenerative joint disease due to the lack of lubricating (Synovial) fluid in the joints, leading to the damage in cartilage, bone, joint capsule, ligaments and muscles. In Ayurveda, this medical condition is described as Sandhi Vata. It is a Vata Dosha disorder affecting joints, mainly Knees, where the vata dosha gets aggravated and dries up the Kapha (Synovial fluid-Shleshak Kapha) in the joints. This causes roughening of the smooth surfaces of the joints and later, bone rubs on bone and movements become painful. Although, the modern medicines rests on relieveing the pain with pain killers, but in Ayurvedic treatments for joint pains and osteo arthritis there are long lasting results with least side effects.

This must be understood that the disease of joint pains particularly the knee joint pains, the condition gradually worsens if not properly taken care of. Therefore timely relief with Ayurvedic treatments is the way out.

Ayurvedic Medicine for Joint Pains

Ayurveda medicine is rich natural source of herbs and herbo-mineral products that ensure sufficient relief from problems of joint pains and arthritis. A number of herbs like Garlic, Ginger, Guggulu, Turmeric, Bishop’s weed, Shilajit, Rasna, Nirgundi etc have been recommended time and again in Ayurveda text so as to attain relief from joint pains. Hope you have been under care of physiotherapist as any player. If so and not better then you have to investigated under care of an orthopedic. Do not ply like this otherwise further damage to shoulder can happen.
