Hi.
I'm suffering from high BP since couple of days, then doctor advised me to avoid salty items as much as you can. ...
Hi, lybrate-user. The alternative to medicine is called lifestyle measures, which are as follows. 1. Salt restriction: no added salt, no fried or salty item: daily limit 2.5 gm of sodium. 2. Weight control: by diet and exercise 3. Daily exercise: aerobic or light wt training: daily 30 min. 4. Stop smoking 5. Avoid stress and anxiety 6. Avoid alcohol or atleast moderate intake if you like to drink. 7. Sleep adequately 8. Correct any sleep disordered breathing like snoring 9. Eat healthy balaced diet 10. Avoid pollution if you can do these regularly and persistently then you can control your bp to some extent. Remember your goal should be controlling bp with or without medicines. Thank you and good luck.

I had angioplast on my heart and one rca repaired by stenting since last six month. I am just 40 years old only. What can I do for future

MD, BHMS
Homeopath, Bhilai
For your future don't drop ecosprin for single day but can take lower doses of 100 and so on as it will dilute your blood. Always go for morning walk at least 20 min and little work out, don't use refined oil but use filtered oil like ground nut, mustered, olive, rice bran, sesame and coconut for eating. Thank you.

What is blood pressure? What is high blood pressure (hypertension)? What is low blood pressure (hypotension)? How can we control on blood pressure? What is the main causes of blood pressure? Which parts mainly effected by blood pressure problem?

Your blood pressure rises with each heartbeat and falls when your heart relaxes between beats. While BP can change from minute to minute with changes in posture, exercise, stress or sleep, it should normally be less than 120/80 mm Hg (less than 120 systolic AND less than 80 diastolic) for an adult age 20 or over.Typically more attention is given to the top number (the systolic blood pressure) as a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease for people over 50 years old. In most people, systolic blood pressure rises steadily with age due to increasing stiffness of large arteries, long-term build-up of plaque, and increased incidence of cardiac and vascular disease.

Being worried for the possibility of not having entered your roll number correctly could just be the time when you started to notice an anxiety state in yourself. From the complaints that you mentioned I do not have even a reasonable; e amount of doubt that you do have an anxiety disorder. However a diagnosis and form of treatment is better done after a complete evaluation and history taking.

Heart Attack - 3 Ways You Can Prevent it

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, DM - Cardiology, Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS - Physician )
Cardiologist, Delhi
Heart Attack - 3 Ways You Can Prevent it

A heart attack is usually characterised by the rupture of a plaque which can cause the spread of the cholesterol into the blood stream.
Cardiovascular diseases are a major cause of pain, suffering and death around the world, today. Heart attacks are caused by coronary heart disease. This is caused by the narrowing of the coronary artery when substances like cholesterol block it. If not treated and revived on time, a patient suffering from a heart attack can meet a fatal result.

So how can you prevent a heart attack?

  1. Cholesterol: We are all affected to some extent by what we eat. It is important to keep a check on your cholesterol, especially if it is on the higher side, so as to prevent a heart attack. Cholesterol is known to directly cause a heart attack, because if applies layer upon layer to the walls of the artery, and chokes them until they cannot handle the pressure any longer. So watch your food intake and bring down the blood lipid or fat levels with proper diet and exercise to alleviate the risk of a heart attack.
  2. Assess your Risk Factors: So are you at risk of heart disease and possible heart attack? This will very much depend on your medical history and allied ailments. If you are suffering from high cholesterol or even diabetes, your chances of having clogged arteries and a subsequent heart attack may increase manifold. Also, you may have a family history of heart diseases which can increase the risk of such ailments in your case. So, it is wise to assess your risk factors and take measures like regular checkups, medication where required and even other measures like diet and exercise.
  3. Blood Pressure: To prevent a heart attack, you can also keep your blood pressure in check. Constant spikes and dips can lead to a malfunctioning heart which can weaken the heart muscles and lead to a fatal result like a heart attack. Further, high blood pressure can lead to wear and tear of the inner lining of your blood vessels, which makes it that much more difficult for blood flow and circulation. So keep a blood pressure measuring machine or cuff at home, or visit your doctor regularly to keep tabs on your blood pressure.

While these basic measures can help take care of the immediate and most direct causes of heart attacks, you can also avoid passive and active smoking, and indulge in a good diet with plenty of exercise to keep your heart healthy.

I have sugar and high cholesterol levels. so, please give me advise and medicine.?

I have sugar and high cholesterol levels. so, please give me advise and medicine.?
High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain.garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines . for diabetes you can take anti diabetes medicines by doctor.pl. tell us your reports.

Cashews are told to contain high cholesterol and hence consumption is not good for heart. Please clarify.
No plant foods contain cholesterol by itself. It is present only in animal products besides the liver itself produces cholesterol for the vital functions in the body.chol is important in the manufacture of steroid hormones.cashew consists of little saturated fats in it,so you need to be cautious while consuming it. Moderation is the key word here ..

I'm fed up with life. Life is not worth living for me. I'm not living life but just passing it. I'm worthy of nothing. There is a lack of happiness lack of confidence lack of concentration. There is no hope no enlightenment no dream no aim in life. I'm very much disinterested, very much disheartened. I'm sailing in a boat without the sailor in the stormy sea. I'm just like the kite which strings are cutoff. I'm skipping my drugs for the high blood pressure. My blood pressure shoots up to 200/130 without any symptoms. I have cutoff myself from my inner and outer self. I'm unable to cope up with it. I Pass nights together without sleep. There is a complete break down. There is no way out. I'm very much depressed.

Depression is very common in today's life but breaking down in stress is not the solution, think about those people who are sleeping in the footpaths who don't even know whether they will get today's bread or not, life is very important, help someone needy bring smile in face of helpless people, you will get internal peace and you will forget your tensions, also don't ignore your high bp, have medicines regularly but don't make it as habit better go for homoeopathic constitutional treatment which will cure you permanently since homoeopathic medicines act very nicely on brain and mind also.

Dear, there will be little blurring of the immage. If the tumor is very small there is a chance of miss but gross things cannot be missed. Mri is usually done when there is a clear cut indication for it. So very less chance to miss.
