Backacke can be due to numerous reasons like back strain, big tummy, slip disc, lumber spondylosis. You can do following home remedies: 1) mix camphor in coconut oil and boil it. Massage it followed by hot fomentation. 2) have turmeric & honey milk. 3) put a hot-water bag on back supported by a cushion. 4) add ginger while brewing your tea 5) if you are overweight, go for weight loss program 6) stay away from cold, go for hot water baths.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference? Dear lybrate-user, it is difficult to pinpoint why you wd be having this pain. May be the doctor would advise you certain tests and painkillers also. One can safely start walks any time and exercises from 14 weeks onwards as by this time the body strength starts recovering and sleepiness also lessens.

Recently, I had a back pain. Doctor said I have a slip disc, but my age is just 30, moreover I hit the gym regularly. Maintained a healthy weights. Just because of this slip disc, I have stopped everything as because having a good and healthy body but a painful life is not a worthy thing. Doc had suggested a few exercise and not to bend forward. In your conditions you have given tuberculosis. What's the history of tb and current status, medication for it. It could effect intestines too. For the time being take best quality asafoetida (hing)./may cost around 18-20 rs per gram. Take 10 gms, fry in ghee, it will swell. Crush to make powder. Add ajwain 25 gm, jeera roasted powder 25 gm, black salt 10 gms, panchakol chooran 50 gms. Mix all well in mixer. Take 1 tsp bd after meals, with warm water. Report after a week with your tb info so that parpati treatment may be advised.

Level less than 20 is normal. Please get her Vitamin D tested. You can give her homoeopathic medicine rhustox 30-5 pills three times daily for 1 week. Revert back after 1 week with feedback.

I have a constant pain at my back and neck. And when I used to write something for at lest 1 hour my shoulders starts paining too. I consulted an spine specialist too, he observed and said lack of vitamin D and gave me 3 medicines namely Brigeta 1gm Sachet (once in a week, fm12 sachets, CCM TABLETS (Calcium Citrate Malate, Vitamin D3 and Folic acid tablets) and Rxplus (long list of composition). Told me to get a next check up after 3 months. Its 5 months now, as long as I was taking the medicine I was feeling fine but again all started same. What should I do?

Do regular exercises and at least 15 minutes walk daily with stretching exercises. You will be fine.

My age 25 .My hand fingers often swelling since my childhood .i just apply some pain relief on the hands. Last month I test my blood and submit the report to orthopedic doctor .he said everything correct in blood test report. Dear, it is not your age for knee pain anyhow get it properly checked and consult a orthopedic surgeon who will guide you properly. You can take tendocare one tab tds for 15 days with calcium and d3 sachets and glucosamine tablet twice daily. And do morning walk regularly and knee exercises with yoga in routine, you will be fine.

Hi, actually the question is for help/medical advice for my wife who is now completing 50 yrs and is under phase of stoppage of menstrual cycle (i think it is called menopause) and is now having some problems of joint pains particularly in knees and also swelling in legs particularly on upper portion of both feets. Can you please advice tests and medical treatment she should excercise. Weight increase is the normal part of this phase? please advice and reply asap.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Yes if she is around 50 years then from an orthopedic point of view you need to get her: 1) serum calcium and vitamin d levels 2) dexa scan to estimate bone density 3) swelling is not usually an orthopaedic issue unless there is a history of any injury which has led to it but thyroid profile is important to rule out as hypothyroidism can lead to swelling there are other tests to see what can be the cause of swelling but that is best advised by a general physician after clinical examination. Good evening sir I have lower back pain and pinched nerve in right hip. What I do for it My age: 24 city alwar rajasthan when I cough, bend, stand long time, lift some heavy things my pain starts. Recntly I visited in isic (indian spinal injuries centre) delhi. Doctor said that I have muscle weakness in back because of my gym. Doc said that you only did upper body workout. Thats why its happening. He suggest me some back strenthning excersize and some medicine. I want to ask you he suggested me right thing or not.

Hello , in back pain, it is very important to strengthen the back and core muscles. Apart from that do proper warm up before exercise and cool down after exercise. Avoid activities which involve lifting heavy weights or twisting of spine. Do exercise in supervision of skilled professional. Take care! wish you healthy life!

Joint pains can be due to different reasons. Different medicines for different types of joint pain. For symptomatic relief I can advice you hot water fomentation for pains more than 6 months and icing for pains not more than 1month. Adequate rest to swollen joints and gentle to submaximal exercises to each joint if pain is tolerable for short time.
