Dear lybrate user, one of the major nutritional substance required for human body is carbohydrate. We take carbohydrate in the form of rice, wheat, sugar etc. The complex molecules of carbohydrate are broken down into simple glucose molecules during digestion & released in the blood stream to be absorbed by the muscle cells. Muscle cells utilise the glucose molecules to release energy by breaking down those glucose molecules. Insulin hormone plays a vital role in the absorption of the glucose molecules by the muscle cells. In abnormal conditions, either due to less production of insulin or due to resistance to insulin, the process of absorption of glucose by the muscles comes to a stand still. The glucose molecules remains in the bloodstream which results in the increase in the blood sugar level. The failure of utilisation of the glucose molecules by the muscle cells results in production of less energy than normal condition. This is externally manifested as the fatigue & tiredness of the patient. This excess amount of blood sugar compels the kidney to function more than normal level in order to excrete the blood sugar molecules through urine. As a result the patient suffers from frequent urination. This abnormal condition is clinically known as diabetes mellitus. Once a patient is diagnosed with diabetes he has to take regular medicine to keep his blood sugar level within normal limits. Take homoeopathic mother tincture gymnema sylvestra q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Also you need to walk at least 1 hour daily without any interval. Also you need to take a low carbohydrate rich diet. Avoid rice, sweet dishes, fruits, cold drinks, fast foods, alcoholic beverages, potato etc.

No deficiency of vit d3 doesn't cause obesity. This wt at 4 months of age could be normal if there is family history of obesity or if baby is very lethargic then other hormonal tests should be done.

Do I have dyslexia I always have writing and reading problem I am 20 what should I do?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
At your age you can identify the particular words that pose a problem to you and then write those words down and articulate the letters and the words they form just as a young kid would do; and you will register an audio-visual memory of those particular words to gradually develop an audio-visual impression and memory of the same. It will be even more useful to write the meanings of those words and relate to them as well. You could sing the words and meanings to make a lasting impression. But you should not rush all the methods at once to learn quicker: it will only confuse you and make it even more difficult, and will lead to frustration. In a more advanced situation you can print index cards of those words and learn to memorize them in the same fashion as mentioned above. As time goes by you may get audio books and listen to them often but always in an atmosphere conducive to good listening. If you wish you could also get the help of reading teachers who will professionally take you from simple material to higher material as you advance in the learning program. The audio mode of learning is slower than the visual mode but speed is not an immediate objective, comprehension and word recognition is. It will be a long process but if you are determined, it will be rewarding. You could have benefited from an earlier intervention, like in childhood, if they had noticed and acted then. Please remember that your intelligence is not in question. So it is up to your commitment, sincerity and above all perseverance.

You might have low blood pressure or you may have a ear vestibular dysfunction. You need to get a ENT consultation also. You've probably heard that high blood pressure is a problem. Sometimes blood pressure that is too low can also cause problems. Blood pressure is the force of your blood pushing against the walls of your arteries. Each time your heart beats, it pumps out blood into the arteries. Your blood pressure is highest when your heart beats, pumping the blood. This is called systolic pressure. When your heart is at rest, between beats, your blood pressure falls. This is the diastolic pressure. Your blood pressure reading uses these two numbers. Usually they're written one above or before the other, such as 120/80. If your blood pressure reading is 90/60 or lower, you have low blood pressure. Some people have low blood pressure all the time. They have no symptoms and their low readings are normal for them. In other people, blood pressure drops below normal because of a medical condition or certain medicines. Some people may have symptoms of low blood pressure when standing up too quickly. Low blood pressure is a problem only if it causes dizziness, fainting or in extreme cases, shock. Certain medicines and substances can lead to low blood pressure, including:     * Alcohol     * Anti-anxiety medicines     * Certain antidepressants     * Diuretics     * Heart medicines, including those used to treat high blood pressure and coronary heart disease     * Medicines used for surgery     * Painkillers Other causes of low blood pressure include:     * Nerve damage from diabetes     * Changes in heart rhythm (arrhythmias)     * Not drinking enough fluids (dehydration)     * Heart failure You can do a few things to prevent low blood pressure     * Drinking more fluids     * Getting up slowly after sitting or lying down     * Not drinking alcohol     * Not standing for a long time     * Using compression stockings so blood does not collect in the legs Get these test done to find cause of blood pressure problems tests include Thyroid functions, ECG, ECHO.
