Hi, this can be done in a few steps: eat less chapatis, less rice, i. E. Less carbohydrates. Take more pulses and pulses products. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid taking creamed milk and milk products. Also avoid eating fried foods, junk foods, canned foods, etc. Must take salad with your every main meal. Drink plenty of water. Take green tea instead of normal tea but not more than twice a day. Walk at least for half an hour after dinner at night. Take exercises daily as it helps in better absorption of food.

32 years female suffering from severe headache/head pain for the last five to six years. Pain occasionally becomes less when when saridon tablets are taken but is not completely cured. Pron to acidity and take pantocid 40 tablet to get relief. Have done sugar test and spondylitis test but there is no blood sugar or spondylitis. Visited homeopath who said that there is migraine present but could not cure. The head becomes jam and there is unbearable pain. What should be done?

Hello dear according to your condition you do hot fermentation daily three times in a day with duration of 15 min. Do full stretches along with breathing hold it for 15 sec then release sure you feel better in 2, 3 days.

Dear, apply these methods to get rid of lots of body hairs: * give to heavy massage to all the parts with lots of hairs. Massage loose down the hair roots and hairs fall progressively fast. *make a paste by adding 1 table spoon of gram wheat (besan) and 1 table spoon of turmeric powder in luke warm water. Rub the paste on the areas where the hair growth are high to ged rid of hairs. * take a bath with hot water added with 10-15 leaves of neem regularly. * you can take laser therapy to loose extra hairs of body.

You must meet with a counselor first and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor too. Please do so immediately. You must investigate if the origin of this problem is from childhood or of recent origins. If it is recent, you will be able to pin-point the episode. If not, talk to your parents and see if they remember any incidents from your childhood, even in prenatal life, of any contributing factors. The counselor will be able to help out with this information. You can follow these simple rules too: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love: find someone to love and to love you back, if you are not married already. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3. Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G. Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Eat meals at frequent intervals. This will help improve appetite. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, sprouts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements. They will not work in isolation. You have to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.
