According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. I am happy to know that your sugar levels are in control. However, please check hba1c% it should be around 6.5%, which means the control is good. It is important that you also maintain your weight near normal, right now your bmi is 29.77kg/m2 which shows obesity. Obesity also affects diabetes and fertility. Please take care to cut your weight as it is high as your ideal body weight should be 57 kgs. You need to exercise for more than 1 h a day and follow restricted diet avoiding deep fried foods, red meat and high fat containing items.

Ya I hav dandruff too but that because I am not applying oil from past 1 year so its like that and even I get patches...
Dandruff is excessive shedding of skin. It depends on weather change, water change, stress levels etc. There are different types of scaly disorder like psoriasis, pityriasis amentecia, seborrhoic oleosa. It is important to diagnose that and then treat it. Oil is important as it conditions the scalp. Use jaborandi hair oil 3/week and wash it daily with mild scalp cleanser. Consult trichologist.

Use your time at home to graze regularly. Several small meals and snacks may seem more manageable than three large meals. Dried fruits, seeds, cheese and nut butter are nutritionally rich and calorie dense. Snack on a 1/4 cup of raisins for about 110 calories; spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter on a medium banana and consume almost 300 calories; and have an ounce of cheddar cheese with just seven woven wheat crackers for 233 extra calories. Add one or all of these snacks daily to pile on a pound in a week.

I am having a lot of weakness in my body due to this my legs pain more and I m not able to work for more hours I get tired soon please advice me.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Hye, Thanks for the query. Weakness most often is due to poor nutrition. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well. Exercise at least thrice a week.

Diet and lack of exercise are the two most important factors that contribute to obesity. While the modern day diet is becoming more and more full of fats, sweets and empty calories, it is becoming devoid of nutritious vitamins and minerals. The fibre content is also decreasing. One tends to stack up on junk food in an effort to take a quick bite while on the go. At the same time, physical activity is on the decline. One has increased access to vehicles and the need to walk or cycle is almost not present. Even for commuting short distances, one uses cars or two wheelers. All these things are readily contributing to this epidemic of obesity. When it comes to getting rid of the excess fat, one needs to work conscientiously and consistently on both the counts mentioned above. One’s diet has to be altered so as to include more and more natural fruits and vegetables. Processed food and junk food should be cut down to the minimum. A daily exercise regimen needs to be adopted. Exercising for 30-40 minutes for a minimum of 5 days a week is necessary. Homeopathy helps by regulating the metabolic system of the individual. There are more than 100 medicines listed in the Homeopathic literature for obesity. It is a tough job selecting the right medicine for a particular patient. One needs to take into account a lot of things before selecting the right course of treatment. These things relate to other symptoms or conditions that may be present or the person may be suffering from. A lot of importance is given to the reason, if any can be found that stimulated weight gain. This reason could be a particular illness or an event or some psychological setback in life. The general reaction of the person to extremes of temperature, his or heating habits also need to be taken into account. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects.
