Dandruff is the subjective term but under this there are various other types. It is important to understand what kind of scaling it is. Oiling is must. Oil the scalp 3/week and wash it 3/week. Diet full of proteins are good for hair. Consult trichologist for further treatment.

Available in multiple flavours, the nylon (or multifilament) floss is composed of many strands of nylon, but it has a tendency of getting torn between teeth with tight contact points. Although if used properly, it works excellently while removing plaque and debris.

Hlo sir I am facing teeth problem .My teeth are not shining tell me the correct toothpaste and brush.

Hlo sir I am facing teeth problem .My teeth are not shining tell me the correct toothpaste and brush.
Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Changing the toothbrush alone donot keeps your teeth clean. All toothpaste have nearly similar ingredients like Abrasives, Fluorides, Surfactants, Antibacterial agents, Flavourants, Remineralizers, Fluoride, Diethylene glycol, Triclosan etc. Only the wrong brushing technique that we follow harms our teeth and gums. So consult your dentist, learn proper brushing technique, Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush to protect your teeth and gums from plaque and calculus. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Consume a healthy diet rich in vegetables and lean protein. Reduce your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Drink plenty of fluoridated tap water. Drink not consume alcohol drinks. Don’t smoke.

A wisdom tooth came up on the left side of my lower jaw about two weeks back. It was paining badly and I could hardly open my mouth. I was advised a painkiller tablet and liquid glycerine. After taking that, the pain subsided in about three days and I was able to open my mouth properly. But, all of a sudden, a few days after this, my saliva started tasting bad. I have kind of a metallic taste in my mouth constantly and when that taste is there, my saliva smells bad too. I kind of feel that this taste originates from the left side near the wisdom tooth. But I am not sure whether it's the upper or lower jaw. How do I overcome this condition? Please advise.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance between the ages of 17 and 21, though it's possible for them to push through earlier or later. Referred to as your" third molars, these four teeth begin to push through the skin like any other tooth, which can cause pain. However, wisdom teeth are much more likely to grow in at an incorrect angle – even sideways – causing impaction that can radiate this pain to the teeth in front of it.

Proper cleaning of the mouth on a daily basis is very necessary. Besides brushing and tongue cleaning, flossing deep into the areas between the teeth and under the gumline, where the toothbrush cannot reach is equally important.

I would advise you to consult your dentist as soon as possible. If your tooth is carious and you are experiencing severe pain, there is a possibility that the pulp of your tooth is exposed, which can be diagnosed only after proper check up. Kindly show it to your dentist at the earliest. If you will delay it much, it might need to be extracted.

I am suffering from pain full mouth ulcer from last few years. Kindly suggest me.
The exact cause of most mouth ulcers is unknown. Stress or tissue injury is thought to be the cause of simple mouth ulcers. Certain foods, including citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables (such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes and strawberries), can trigger a mouth ulcer or make the problem worse. Sometimes a sharp tooth surface or dental appliance, such as braces or ill-fitting dentures, might also trigger mouth ulcers. The exact cause of most mouth ulcers is unknown. Sometimes a sharp tooth surface or dental appliance, such as braces or ill-fitting dentures, might also trigger mouth ulcers. Some cases of complex mouth ulcers are caused by an underlying health condition, such as an impaired immune system; nutritional problems, such as vitamin b12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency and gastrointestinal tract disease, such as coeliac disease and crohn's disease.
