Hi. Lybrate user. There are many reasons for hair fall / whiting and graying i. E. Heredity, hormones imbalance and fungal infections (scalp infections), few medicine's side effects i. E. My son aged 24 underwent surgery for Right Hernia in Sept 2014.He was given local Anathesia in Lumbar.After surgery he got severe headache for about a week.Doctor said it was due to fluid imbalance.From mid november he got twitches in legs.Blood test was done.His vitamin B12 count is 204.Doctor advice him 5 injections and if necessary more.He has completed 5 but still there is no differance.Twitching is more when he sits for study.He is in final group CA.Doctor says it has no connection with the operation but he had no problem earlier.Please advice cause and remedy.Thanks

Headache after spinal anesthesia is not uncommon & often occurs due to decreased intracranial pressure. This is self limiting and only bed rest is required. Neurological opinion should be taken regarding the twitching of the legs. Since it has appeared 2 months after the lumbar anesthesia, it is less likely to be due to the anesthesia.

U take low calorie low sodium mod protein diet. 45 min walk daily speedly. Don't take rice at night. Drink 10-12 glass of water. Don't drink immediately after meal. 4 -5 in a day on frequent interval. Take thin dal or bolied.

My ovulation study 10th day of cycle report is right ovary 40x21, 39x21, 16x13and left ovary pco, 5x5endometrial thickness 7.2mm.

U already have many retention cysts, so it is unlikely to get pregnancy in this cycle. You should abandon this cycle and next menses you need to get baseline scan done to find out presence of these cysts before you start treatment.

Hye. Thankyou for your query. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice, half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Clear soups, lean meats, seafood and grain-based dishes like roti, whole grain bread are other good choices. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes at least three times per week to build muscle and burn more calories. Pilates, strength training, aerobics, swimming, dancing and yoga or a sport like football are ideal choices. If you’re new to exercising, start with brisk walking and jogging. Adopt physically demanding hobbies like bicycling, hiking, jogging, power walking to promote faster weight loss. If you don’t have time for new hobbies, increase your physical activity with things like walking the dog, playing with the kids or jogging instead of driving to a nearby store or taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

If your dog has vomited it is fine, no botheration, our domestic lizards are harmless,& cats eat them & even some human beings also do eat that I have noted it does not matter any thing to your dog, be tension free, of course there are poisonous lizards also, even after eating the contents should go to blood to see the symptoms, if your dog has lose motion, give antimalarial medicines, do not worry,

Aisa kyu ho rha hai mere sath mai AC mein baith tak nahi pati sona to bahot dur ki baat hai fan bhi off kr k hi so pati hun mere sath aisa kis reason so ho rha hai and haan mujhe aksar fever feel hota hai around 7-8 months se. Mai 24 years ki hun and 52 kgs ki.

Kindly get your blood pressure & thyroid level checked. Avoid skipping meals. Have hot soups, porridges, khichdi, stews, egg, meat, coffee, green tea. Eat small meals every 2-3 hrs. Include guava, citrus fruits, raw cabbage & capsicum. Avoid processed/ junk/ ready to eat/ canned/ fried foods.

1. Eat healthy – eat fruits, vegetables, and a high protein diet 2. Destress yourself. 3. Sleep for at least 6-8 hrs a day. 4. Have an oil massage at least twice a week with coconut oil or any oil of your choice. Condition your hair after shampooing . 5. Take tab adgain once daily after food for 15 days and revert.

My left hip muscles remain tight and inflamed most of the time. There is pain through out the day .Have tried every medicine and exercise but get temporary relief only. Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Hello. We do have good and effective medicines in Homoeopathy for unwanted facial hair. Want to know whether do you have any hormonal imbalance? Apart from these medications, take good healthy food which also contributes to your problem. Diet for Unwanted Facial Hair: - Vitamin B6 can reduce the production of prolactin, a hormone that causes the male hormone testosterone to be taken up by tissues. It also dampens cells' responsiveness to hormones. This vitamin can be found in avocados, fish, organ meats, soybeans, walnuts, peanuts, bananas and other fruits. - Calcium-D-Glucarate can help your body detoxify hormones. It's a natural substance found in many fruits and vegetables, including apples, Brussels sprouts, bean sprouts, broccoli and cabbage. This also is called Glucaric Acid, D-Glucarate, or D-Glucaric Acid. If you supplement, use 200 mg twice a day. - Vitamin E can normalize androgens and reduce the effects of testosterone. Wheat germ oil, almonds, sunflower seeds, safflower oil, peanut butter, corn oil, spinach, broccoli, mangoes and spinach contain this vitamin. - Consuming up to 500 mg per day of magnesium is another way to reduce testosterone effects and bring androgens back into balance. Nuts, seeds, raw leafy greens, soybeans and whole grains contain magnesium. - Zinc and copper are minerals that can help prevent unwanted facial hair. Do not overdo with copper; the ideal balance of zinc to copper is eight to one in favor of zinc. Copper is abundant in the environment---it's in drinking water in some areas, and you can get it from copper plumbing and cooking equipment. - Get enough iodine. The thyroid gland needs iodine to make its hormones, which regulate metabolism. If you need to eat more iodine, consume sea vegetables, or seaweeds, twice a week, or use an iodine-rich seasoning such as Seaweed Gomasio. In case of Thyroid Dysfunction, avoid Brassica group of family like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi (greman cabbage), turnip, collard greens. Medication: Schwabe's Oleum Jacoris 3x/ 3 times a day for a month.

Follow these important tips to get fair colour of skin * avoid to go in strong sunlight and if you have to go in sunlight then cover your face & exposed parts of body before going in sunlight. * Use sunscreen having SPF 15 on face especially in summer and spring season. * Take vitamin -E rich foods like dry fruits, egg and fish as you like. You can take cord liver oil capsule daily. * Take more anti oxidant foods like fruits (Apple, grapes, melon) and citrus fruits. * Make paste of Papaya and apply this paste on face & exposed body parts and leave it for 15 minutes. It brightens the skin and lower melanin content. For fair skin : • Apply one teaspoon Besan with one teaspoon of curd and a pinch of haldi (turmeric) mix it with water then apply for 15 minutes then rinse off it with water Once a week. • Drink 2-3 liters of water everyday to get hydrated & glowing skin. • Mash half banana mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and half teaspoon of sandalwood powder mix it well and make smooth paste apply it for 10 minutes then rinse off with water.

What stalls the growth of your hair?

Many times, it feels like your natural hair has stopped growing completely. Although individual hair strands are growing in a growth cycle, there are few reasons why it may appear that your hair growth has been stunted or has ceased from growing.

Here are some reasons which stall your hair growth:

1. Poor hair habits


Your hair becomes weak and fragile when it is damaged. Poor hair care habits can lead to breakage of hair such as excessive heat styling, chemical hair coloring, and bleaching. These add a lot of stress to hair, weakens your hair's elasticity and lead to breakage, thinning of hair and severe hair damage.

2. Shorter hair growth cycle

The hair growth cycle is constantly in rotation and your hair is never in the same phase of the cycle. There is a phase of hair growth cycle when the hair becomes dormant until the cycle repeats. This resting phase of hair growth cycle may last much longer sometimes.

3. Dry and brittle hair

It's possible for your natural hair to break off as quickly as it grows, appearing as if your hair is no longer growing. Moisturizing your natural hair is important because of its inability to produce a natural oil that covers the entire scalp. Co-washing the hair or using hot oil treatments, sulfate-free shampoos and adopting healthy hair regimens can keep your natural hair moisturized and prevent it from breaking.

4. Poor diet

Your hair needs proper vitamins, minerals and nutrients in order to thrive and eating foods rich in nutritional value like fish, nuts, green leafy vegetables will help your hair grow healthier.
