Take healthy balanced diet including whole grains, green leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts. Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily. Take a sound sleep of 8 hours minimum. Apply bakson's under eye cream on the dark circles. Apply Ramdev's aloe vera gel on the whole face at night. Home remedy:-1.Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties that help fix those raccoon eyes naturally. Plus, they have a soothing and refreshing effect. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the slices onto the affected skin area for about 10 minutes. Wash the area with water. Repeat twice daily for about a week or more. Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture on the affected skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water. Follow this remedy daily for at least one week.

I am 42 and have been on psychiatric medicines for long. For almost 5 years now I have been taking depakote 250, paliris 1.5 mg and buspin 5 mg. Initially I was on slightly higher dose but this reduced dose I have been taking since almost 2 years. I had depression but I really didn't have anythin serious as such but to mention a few years back I use excercise very vigorously and have a light diet coz of that I felt some kind of imbalance I guess. Now I am more stable, do only light walks and eat and sleep well. I am also happily married and well settled now. I am actually trying to stop these medicines and I was in consultation with my delhi doctor but now have moved from there. Docs here have told me to taper it down slowly but whenever I try to stop them completlely, which I tried several times, I get severe withdrawal symtoms. Bad headache and weakness. I guess since I have been taking these for so long I am not able to stop. Please suggest how do I stop these medicines as I feel very lethargic also because of them. Is there any alternative medicine which can be taken to prevent me from getting withdrarwal symptoms and stop the above medicines. Please help!

Medication will not teach you new skills to face life without them. If medicines have given you the opportunity to learn about life, then do take it and meet some psychiatrist for withdrawal management.

I have a neck pain in last 2 months I am 34 years old women have if got any relief, what should I do now?

I have a neck pain in last 2 months I am 34 years old women have if got any relief, what should I do now?
Neck pain, although felt in the neck, can be caused by numerous other spinal problems. Neck pain may arise due to muscular tightness in both the neck and upper back, or pinching of the nerves emanating from the cervical vertebrae. Joint disruption in the neck creates pain, as does joint disruption in the upper back. The head is supported by the lower neck and upper back, and it is these areas that commonly cause neck pain. The top three joints in the neck allow for most movement of the neck and head. The lower joints in the neck and those of the upper back create a supportive structure for the head to sit on. If this support system is affected adversely, then the muscles in the area will tighten, leading to neck pain.apply heated salt as massage on the pain area, use hifenac sr tab daily one before sleep for three days , sit in good pasture, avoid seeing tv in sleeping pasture, sleep flat on ground for a week without pillow, it cures ok take care ,

Can male pattern baldness be stopped and reversed? Please tell home remedies and medical treatment if any.

Can male pattern baldness be stopped and reversed? Please tell home remedies and medical treatment if any.
Hello dear, Androgenetic alopecia is also known as Male pattern baldness, it usually follows a pattern of receding hairline & is related to genetic makeup and male sex hormones. Management includes: 1. Minoxidil preparation to be applied directly to the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles. 2. Finasteride preparations that interferes with the production of male hormone linked to baldness. But these medications have to be used regularly under the guidance of a Dermatologist. As hair loss tends to return on stoppage of these medications. Those cases which do not respond to medical therapy, are managed by hair transplantation. So. It will be better to consult a Dermatologist & start treatment. Wishing you a Good Health. Thanks & take care.

Hi. Hair fall / whitening may be heredity reasons and fungal infection in scalp and hormones imbalances and stress and less minerals in body also. Avoid stress. Take minerals / vitamins/ protein rich meals. Control hormones. Avoid any cosmetic shampoo and hair oil. Use alovera shampoo and coconut hair oil. Use ketomac shampoo once a week regularly. It protects from fungal infections. May be use minerals drops twice a week in hair directly. Or take hormones therapy.

Hello,Dandruff causes hair loss so its necessary to treat dandruff first. Take Thuja 200, 5 drops in the morning, once in a week. Take Arnica Q and Cochleria arom. Q in equal amount, mix with equal amount of coconut oil, and apply this on your scalp, thrice a day. Wash your hair with B&T Anti- Dandruff Shampoo. Revert me after 1 month. Home remedies are as follows:- Coconut oil helps eliminate dandruff due to its antifungal properties. It also moisturises dry scalp and provides relief from itching. Take some coconut oil and mix half the amount of lemon juice in it. 1. Rub it on your scalp and massage for a few minutes. 2. Wash your hair after at least 20 minutes. 3. Follow this remedy two to three times a week.

Brown Discharge before period

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
Brown Discharge before period

In general, the menstrual flow consists of several layers, which include old blood, endometrial lining, nutrients, the tissue remains, etc. All these layers are discharged together as menstrual bleeding/menstrual flow. Sometimes only the layer of nutrients may be discharged before the actual menstruation - this is causing the brown discharge before period.

Incidents in a menstrual cycle may happen that the endometrial cells are not entirely expelled - 'old' endometrial cells can leave uterus during next period and usually appear as brown discharge before period. If the cause of the discharge is the endometrial cells turning from red to brown due to the delayed elimination, there would be no reason to worry. Often polyps of the uterus and/or cervical polyps can be responsible for brown discharge before period. Polyps are the groups of cells that have grown abnormally inside the uterus (mainly because of hormonal dysfunctions). Cells of polyps can bleed very slowly before period and the brown discharge before period could be a result of the bleeding from polyps.

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

Hello lybrate-user. I can understand from you that it must be tough living with this condition for so long. And you also seem to be concerned about taking medications. I would say that nowadays there are psychological interventions which can help someday who has anxiety and depression as a condition. You need to start meeting a mental health professional who would tell you whether you would require medication or not. Psychologists are trained to deal with most of the psychological problems. It would be good idea to get in touch with psychologist soon.

Sometimes you may not be aware of stress because it has not yet manifest itself in any obvious or disturbing way. Your disturbed sleep itself can be a cause, or concern for stress because you have grossly disturbed your biorhythm. I do not know how long you have been suffering this kind of disturbance but if you have developed a pattern during exams and now find it difficult to get out of it, you may have a new sleep habit. At this age there is also a concern that you are looking at a problem in some manner or fashion that needs attention. This may then precipitate an impending condition that is seeking a resolution, for the last time. Whatever the situation, you may still follow some good habits that will help induce sleep, even if it takes care of the symptom only. There are 86 diseases that are directly affected by lack of sleep i.e. less than 6 hours per night. You must talk to a professional and deal with the stress. Yoga, meditation, and stress management exercises with definitely help. You must also do vigorous exercise every day, whether you get sleep or not. You should wake up at a uniform time every day, even if you don’t get sleep. You could sleep in the afternoon but try not to exceed 20 minutes to catch up with lost sleep, and that too only if necessary. Ideally, it is better not to sleep during the day at all. Even if you do not get sleep get to bed at a uniform time like 10.30 and just lie down and read some non-stimulating material. In the lying down position the body tends to regress to a childlike state and will induce sleep. Do not get up to switch off the light, and so you need to arrange for a bed lamp that can be put off at a stretch of a hand. Do not take alcohol, tea, coffee, soft drinks etc. before going to bed. A warm glass of milk before bedtime improves sleep for various reasons. Have dinner early and always make it a pure carbohydrate meal that can be had with any vegetables. Make the room as dark as possible but warm and cozy. Block out all forms of light entering the room through windows. The room must have reasonable cross-ventilation. There must not be any LED lights nearby your bed. Reduce all kinds of sounds around you: light music may be put on if it induces sleep for you with the ‘sleep’ function on. In rare cases you could watch TV in a lying position and switch off when you feel drowsy. There are some odors that could stimulate you and prevent sleep from happening; kindly examine that – this includes perfumes, soap scents, and even laundry detergents. Check out if a warm or cold bath induces sleep for you, and do that before retiring. If you have exhausted yourself through exercise, you will find it easier to relax into a stupor. Contemplate on calm and relaxing thoughts while in bed: decontaminate your mind from all the stresses of the day before going to bed. You could acquire a recording of gradual relaxation and guided relaxation routines. Sleep with your head facing North, and do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. Sleep as far as possible on your left ear. Try these for now and if these fail you must meet with a counselor and work out other matters that may be causing the insomnia.
