High fever is usually due to viral infection. Give paracetamol suspension 125mg, 5ml whenever there is fever not more than 4 t imes a day give frisium 5mg tab 12th hourly for 2days to prevent convulsions.

Snoring and hence not able to sleep continuously even for an hour. The body weight is high and hence no peace of mind, not able to have focus on any work. Being a widower and a father of 5 years old, there is absolute lack of peace.

Obesity can directly cause snoring problem and difficulty to breathe. You need to exercise a lot and control your diet. Make friends and spend time with them. If you need to speak with someone personally, you can always contact me. Tips to reduce anxiety and stress 1. Sleep well and regular. Irregular sleep can have some serious consequences. It affects both our physical health and also contributes to anxiety and stress. Anxiety as such also leads to disruptions in sleep. When feeling anxious, always try to get a full 7 to 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep and it can work wonders to improve your condition. 2. Always keep smiling. Take a quick break in between your hectic work to get some laughs with your friends. Laughter can reduce depression and anxiety and has proven benefits. 3. Tidy up your living space or workspace. Keep your things clean and clutter-free. That helps us think clear and thus reducing levels of anxiety. 4. Say thank you often. Expressing your thanks for something helps reduce anxiety. 5. Eat smart. Eating more of foods which are rich in vitamin b and omega-3 fatty acids and also healthy whole grain carbs. Vitamin b contributes to good mental health. While omega 3 fatty acids help with both depression and anxiety. Whole grain foods boost serotonin and helps us remain poised. Eating high-sugar content food and processed foods can increase levels of anxiety. 6. Learn to breathe well and relax. Short, shallow breaths arise when you are tensed. So consciously breathing deeply, plus increasing the duration and depth of breathing helps relax the body and mind to a great extent. 7. Meditate. Meditation has so many positive effects on stress, mood, and anxiety. Club meditation with positive thinking to improve your general well-being and overall health. Yoga is also very effective to take off stress from the body and mind by deep relaxation and breathing techniques. 8. Chill and be silent. Reduce the noise and clutter talk that contributes to anxiety. Find time for yourself and be alone to muse upon your own matters without anyone disturbing you. 9. Worry. Yes, we can cause ourselves to freak out, but only for a certain amount of time. When something weighs heavily on your mind, or you believe something terrible is most definitely going to occur, commit to only creating that worry for 20 minutes. Think of all the possible outcomes of the scenario, figure out some game plans, and then quit thinking about it after 20 minutes go by. Have a friend call after the allotted time has passed to avoid the temptation of going over the time limit. Or schedule some of that playtime right afterward. 10. Plan for the future but do not worry about it. Make time tables and to-do lists so that you will not be worried about finishing stuff and so that you can increase your productivity. 11. Be positive. When you feel anxious, train your mind to think and feel positive and give reinforcement to yourself that you can handle any situation. This will significantly reduce your stress and anxiety symptoms. 12. Smell relaxing stuff. Go out to your garden. Smell a fresh rose. Take a deep breathe and allow the relaxation to course through your whole body. You can also use relaxing aroma therapy and use it indoors. 13. Go out and spend time with your friends and family. Spend time with your pets social support reduces anxiety and stress to such a great extent that it is almost always bearable. So next time you get on your nerves, go out with your friends, chat with them, watch a movie, spend some time watching the waves in the beach with your partner, talk to your siblings.

From early childhood, I have severe hearing loss in my right ear. I do not remember whether it was from birth or was a result of some hitting done on my right ear by one of the bullies (i remember the incident remotely, though can not attribute the hearing loss to that). My left ear is perfect and am a healthy guy of 42 years doing very well professionally and part of top management in one of the reputed companies. I had at the age of 18 years went for a ent check up where they diagnosis as severe hearing loss in the right ear. However, when I put in a earphone in my right ear and tightly close my left ear to close any sound, I can remotely hear, but only very light sounds. My query is, can I try to recover my right ear hearing or leave it? Is there any hope of recovery? Though you might say it needs to be checked, but what do you make out first cut from the details that I have provided? Now a days with so much advances in med sciences, I am hoping you cd help me with your valuable advice and way forward.

hi, if its severe loss or damage to your inner ear unfortunately it cannot be reveresed. like you mentioned in the comment that science have advanced to the extent to help the patient to hear better with a better hearing aid and customised solutions as per the reqyirment of the patient. if the loss is creating a serious impact on your lifestyle or ur profession would suggest you to go for a good hearing device. if you are shy to wear a external device you have various models which can fit inside your ear as well and that may give a bit of sigh from your condition

check whether she's getting adequate sleep..if it's disturbed, rule out allergies and seek a doctor for its cure..

No need to worry. If it is not loose motion, then forget about frequency. Keep watch on urine frequency, diet. Give. Moong dal rice combination.

Hi, Mr. Lybrate-user, firstly if your daughter is a thyroid patient you should regularly check her tsh levels so we can analyse whether her thyroid status is normal or no if she is on medication. Because you require to adjust the dose of her medicines as per her tsh levels. Regarding diet you should increase her protein diet. Introduce sprouts, paneer, milkshakes, dates, jaggery in her diet. Lastly you also need to give her diet which is rich in calcium like ragi, almonds, milk and milk products. There are also very good yogas for thyroid patients, teach her it will benefit her and you can also start her on homoeopathic medicines which will give wonderful results.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Take Mag Phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. Give paracetamol 15 mg/kg of his weight every 6/4 hourly for temporary relief. But consult your doctor soon if he is looking sick of weak.

If child is taking less feed, he shall not be gaining wt properly @ about 25 gm per day. Feet cold and head warm is normal so long baby is active.

We can start semi solid food by the age of 6 months. To begin with you can start pulses water or cerelac (rice based). Subsequently you can give mashed potatoes or mashed banana etc. By the age of 1 yr child can have whatever an adult is taking. And quantity is 3/4 of an adult.
