I have many hair problem. Can hair growth by some treatment. How much time taken.
Hair loss and dandruff can be controlled by - 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like Egg, Yougurt and Lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 9. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in Vitamin C like amla and oranges. 10. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.

How to remove vaginal odour without medicines and only through water fruits etc a natural method?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello you should follow the below home remedies to get rid from vaginal odor:- home remedy:- 1. Apple cider vinegar:- due to its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, apple cider vinegar can be used to fight vaginal odor. In fact, taking a bath with apple cider vinegar is one of the simplest ways to get rid of the bad odor. This will help fight off the toxins and bacteria that cause vaginal odor. It will also help restore the acidic quality of the vaginal flora. 2. Another good ingredient that can be used to treat vaginal odor is yogurt. Yogurt is rich in lactobacillus bacteria, which help fight candida infection (one of the most common causes of vaginal odor) and restore the normal vaginal ph level. Once the ph level is balanced, the vaginal odor will be gone. Eat two cups of unsweetened, plain yogurt daily. You can also take probiotic supplements.

My weight loss is my problem. My height is 175 cms and weight is only 63kg. So I want healthy body. Any solution?

My weight loss is my problem.
My height is 175 cms and weight is only 63kg. So I want healthy body.
Any solution?
Hello, To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. Lift Weights, do free body weight exercises. 2. Eat healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your daily food intake should ideally consist of nuts, dry fruits, seeds, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. 5. Supplementation. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. 6. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

One should avoid eating certain food and edible items completely to control falling of hair. Consuming nicotine, alcohol, caffeine and sugar can result in lowering of nutrient level your body drastically. This can lead to hair loss and high androgen production because of increase in adrenal levels in your body.

The culprit is uncontrolled hypothyroidism and insufficient estrogen. We have self made specialised medicine prepared for complete management of thyroid. It includes correction of weight, stopping hair fall and alleviating other symptoms such as weakness, lethargy, increased sleep, infertility etc. This is how this treatment minimizes dependence on artificial hormones and stimulates thyroid gland to produce it's own natural hormone. At the same time, this treatment increases metabolic rate thereby helping maintain good weight over long term.

Brain Stroke - Things You Must Know!

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, Fellow in Pain Management, DM - Neurology
Neurologist, Delhi
Brain Stroke - Things You Must Know!

A brain stroke can affect anyone at any point of time when the supply of blood to the brain is interrupted. It can threaten major physical functions and can prove to be fatally dangerous at times. The brain stem which is placed right above the spinal cord controls the breathing, heartbeat and levels of blood pressure. It is also in charge of controlling some elementary functions such as swallowing, hearing, speech and eye movements

What are the different types of strokes?
There are three main kinds of stroke: ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes and transient ischemic attacks. The The most common type of brain stroke is the ischemic stroke is caused by narrowing or blocking of arteries to the brain, which prevents the proper supplyof of blood to the brain. Sometimes it so happens that the blood clot that has formed elsewhere in the body have travelled via the blood vessels and has been trapped in the blood vessel which provides blood to the brain. When the supply of blood to a part of the brain is hindered, the tissue in that area dies off owing to lack of oxygen. The other variant of brain stroke is termed as hemorrhagic stroke is caused when the blood vessels in and around the brain burstor or leak. Strokes need to be diagnosed and treated as quickly as possible in order to minimize brain damage.

What are the common symptoms of a brain stroke?
The symptoms of the brain stroke are largely dependent on the area of the brain that has been affected. It can interfere with normal functioning, such as breathing and talking and other functions which human beings can perform without thinking such as eye movements or swallowing. Since all the signals from the brain as well as other parts of the body traverse through the brain stem, the interruption of blood flow often leads to numbness or paralysis in different parts of the body.

Who is likely to have a stroke?
Anyone is at a risk of developing brain stroke although ageing is directly proportional to the risk of having a stroke. Not only that an individual with a family history of brain stroke or transient ischemic attack is at a higher risk of developing stroke. People who have aged over 65 accounts for about 33 percent of all brain strokes. It is important to point here that individuals with high blood pressure, high blood sugar, cholesterol, cancer, autoimmune diseases and some blood disorders are at a higher risk of developing brain stroke.

There are a few factors which can increase the risk of developing stroke beyond any control. But there are certain lifestyle choices as well which aids in controlling the chances of being affected by stroke. It is crucial to refrain from long-term hormone replacement therapies as well as birth control pills, smoking, lack of physical activity, excessive use of alcohol and drug addiction. A brain stroke is a life-threatening medical condition, and when an individual has symptoms that resemble that of stroke, it is crucial to seek immediate medical help.

Treatment for stroke:

  • Treatment depends on the type of stroke.
  • Ischemic strokes can be treated with 'clot-busting' drugs.
  • Hemorrhagic strokes can be treated with surgery to repair or block blood vessel weaknesses.
  • The most effective way to prevent strokes is through maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

What is TPA?
TPA is a thrombolytic or a “Clot Buster” drug. This clot buster is used to break-up the clot that is causing a blockage or disruption in the flow of blood to the brain and helps restore the blood flow to the area of the brain. It is given by intravenous (IV). This can be given only within 45.5 hrs of the onset of symptoms

Time is brain

Remember Every second Loss means brain cells die.

Rush to the nearest Stroke Centre whenever you experience such symptoms.

You can save the brain cells dying if you reach within 45.5 hrs by the CLOT BUSTER.

Endovascular procedures:
Another treatment option is an endovascular procedure called mechanical thrombectomy, strongly recommended, in whichtrained  trained doctors try  removing a large blood clot bysending sending a wired-caged device called a stent retriever, to the site of the blocked blood vessel in the brain

Stroke prevention:
The good news is that 80 percent of all strokes are preventable. It startswith with managing keyrisk risk factors, including

  • High blood pressure,
  • Cigarette smoking,
  • Diabetes Atrial fibrillation and
  • Physical inactivity.

More than half of all strokes are caused by uncontrolled hypertension or high blood pressure, making it the most important risk factor to control.

Rehabilitation:
The best way to get better after a stroke is to start stroke rehabilitation ("rehab"). In stroke rehab, a team of health professionals works with you to regain skills you lost as the result of a stroke. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a neurologist.

General Physician,
Physical illness can trigger depression
************************************************
If you have depression, a thorough physical exam and careful medical history should be evaluated to pinpoint a physical source of the problem for an appropriate treatment.

In depression not only look for what?s going on in the mind and brain but also check what?s going on in the body. Many medical problems are linked to mood disturbances.

Over fifty percent of heart attack survivors and those with cancer report feeling depressed. Depression is also linked to diabetes, Parkinson?s and other chronic conditions.

Depression too can affect the course of a physical disease. Depression is linked with slower recovery from a heart attack and an increased risk for future heart trouble.

Thyroid disorders also affect mood. Overactive thyroid can cause mania and under active thyroid can cause depression. Other medical conditions associated with mood disorders include certain neurological conditions (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson?s disease, Alzheimer?s), other hormonal imbalances, and lack of vitamin B12.

Hello dear. There are several different forms of depressions-Major depression (also called major depressive disorder, Dysthymia disorder, Psychotic depression, Postpartum depression, Seasonal affective disorder (SAD). You should find a health care professional or a facility that treats patients with depression to know the real cause of depression. The main thing to keep in mind is to be compassionate. Encourage to talk to talk about how he feel without judging what is said. Encourage your brother to get a checkup from the family physician. While your brother may resist the idea of talking to a mental health professional about depression, but may regard the family doctor as a less threatening option. A general practitioner can diagnose depression and prescribe treatment, including making a referral to a licensed therapist or psychologist. Sometimes, having a professional make the suggestion is the key to getting someone to seek help. When talking to someone with severe depression, it’s important to remember that the person has a mental illness. Avoid using language that may be perceived as blaming the person, minimizing the situation or dismissing the circumstances. For example, instead of telling your brother to “just snap out of it,” or stating “It’s all in your head,” ask him if there is anything you can do to help him. Be compassionate, understanding and encouraging. The first line of treatment of depression is typically medication. Changes in brain chemistry may be responsible for the condition, and medication can help correct this issue. A doctor can recommend the right medication for your particular situation. Remember, though, that it does take time to work, so don’t give up if you don’t see improvement within the first week or two. Other things you can do to treat depression include exercising, controlling blood sugar levels and eating a healthier diet. These things can support your recovery effort and help prevent relapses. While a doctor will recommend various treatment options, at the end of the day, you must choose the best one for you. It can, however, be challenging deciding between depressive disorder solutions, especially if you’ve never suffered from the condition before. Think about the outcome you want to achieve, and factor in your personal preferences. For instance, you may want to get rid of the depression but don’t want to use pharmaceutical drugs. Talk to your healthcare provider about options that don’t involve medication, such as over-the-counter supplements and lifestyle changes. Finally its you and your family members who have to play a key role in helping your brother out of depression. Try taking him for a walk every day in a park Let him be close to nature Ask him to walk on green grass. Try to make him listen to Indian classical music Do things that makes your brother happy, it can be making his favorite dish or playing his favorite song/s etc. Playing with children even helps Make him feel that he is not alone and you and others are with him always no matter what happens. Print his favorite picture, can be a family photo or your pic with your brother and frame it and hung it on his room. When you feel that he is cooperating ask him to join yoga classes or laughter classes (you can also join him) Try becoming his Buddy so that he can open up and discuss things with you and crack jokes Play outdoor games like basket ball or badminton with him This all will require patience and time so don’t get frustrated. In the mean time consult your family doctor and do what he says and do see that he is taking medicines regularly if he is kept on medication. Good Luck.
